    С прослушивания этой хоральной прелюдии в исполнение Гарри Гродберга,началась моя продолжительная любовь к органной музыке,которая живет в настоящем времени❤

    "Ich ruf zu dir Herr Jesu Christ". "I call to thee Lord Jesus Christ". And , thankfully, the tempo suggest one willing to wait for an answer!

    Koopman's tempo here is perfect to me. He takes full advantage of the reverberation in the cathedral, and his ornamentation isn't too over-the-top. His registration is very nice as well.

    Veel dank Ton Koopman voor het prachtig, gedragen spelen van deze schitterende muziek. Muziek als een gebed, muziek die mij beroert tot in het diepst van mijn ziel.

    The organ being played by Koopman on this recording is one of the most renown works of the organ-building art- it is one of the two organs built by Karl Joseph Riepp in 1766 in the Ottobeuren abbey in Germany. Google it for further details, there are a lot of recordings made on this organ here on youtube.

    This is just one example of the greatnes of the Master, this is J.S.Bach. This is also a great way for a prayer: I call for You, my Christ! It really should be played calmly, like he does. With the pace of a prayer. "I call for you, my Jesus and Christ!". Couldn't it be more beautiful and yet so saint.

Dank Tom.

    There are many versions of this chorale that I love, both organ and piano. But I think Ton Koopman plays it particularly well - there's something extra, something deeply meaningful

    This quits me down, and it is a balm for my soul. Out of the depths I call to Thee oh my Father in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I feel the spirit coming on me like a soft cloud. Ton Koopman, you are a genius, you present this so well, thank you.

    The tuning of the organ is different, A = 432 Hz. So it's played in the original key. And Tom just plays it slowly and peacefully.

    @oswaldovernet This tempo is surely slow compared to how organists used to play but I think it is not abnormal when the choral is replaced in the right context. The verse told the story of Simeon who waited the becoming of the Messiah. He was so old when he met the new born Jesus. He said "Thanks God to make me alive so long time and allows me to see the Saviour of the world. Now it's time for me to go in thy paradise peacefully. My soul is ready". So, the atmosphere must be quiet.

    Well, after all this commenting, I can still put one argument on the ring: the articulation of the music, and that is really the drills. Human fingers and their coordinations put the limits in the last place ... And we who love the music as much as the God, do not want to make the music of tha master Bach a place of some circus art.

    2:37 i don't know what it is about that long note, i love it. i want to understand why it stands out unlike the others. might it be tuned differently or contains overtones, harmonics, or something like that? i dont know??? anyone

      The thing its that note its a Dotted
      Half note with a Fermata, continued by the same note but as a Quarter note (All of this in a common time measure)

    it's not in the original key, it's lower, and the tempo is slowed down, so I think the recording might have been slowed down on purpose?

    Its why I usually hate to attend an organ concert by a young person. They blast away, then as a filler insert a more reflective piece and skip through it at high speed with too many stops used.

    Nunca me gusta este señor y nunca me emociona.
    Por qué nunca se atiene a la partitura?

    • @alexgomez2
      @alexgomez2 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bach no dejó ni indicaciones de velocidad y de registros. Aunque esta versión es un tanto lenta a como estoy acostumbrado y a como la toco, entiendo que el Sr. Ton Koopman, quien es en su propio derecho un gran experto, tiene toda la potestad de hacerlo a su propio estilo y velocidad dentro de los parámetros estilísticos de Bach y del Barroco Alemán.

    • @esaulr.775
      @esaulr.775 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      alexgomez2 Nadie discute la capacidad de este señor, faltaría más, ni su derecho a tocar a Bach como él quiera, así como el mío a que no me guste :-P Ahora, sus versiones de Bach están muy sobrevaloradas, hay un exceso infumable de morcillas de su cosecha, de rubatos exagerados, eso cuando no "escribe" pasiones imitando a Bach... Pese a todo es indudable que tiene grabaciones históricas (por ejemplo su BWV 1080 o sus sonatas 1027-1029 junto a Savall), pero esta versión es de un estilo relamido que recuerda más a Cesar Frank que al Kapellmeister.

      +misspianissima No, no, no, this NOT too slow, it is meant for slowly sink into the heart and the spirit. Not faster, please, this is perfect. We get out of the rat race and not turn something like this into a rat race. Calm, calm, calm, and slow, so beautiful, a pearl of great value. Thanks Ton Koopman.

    • @j8u2
      @j8u2 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +misspianissima Not slow at all! It is written to embrace the soul. It means nothing if it's going by so fast that the soul can't get a glimpse.

      Longing is a very human emotion. There is no necessity for the longing to be rooted in something real. The longing is just as real as if it were. And I am an atheist, saying this.
