So sad my mom passed away before she could hear this album... some of their best work and I know she would have loved it! I still have my tickets to the show I was supposed to see with my mom in 2005. She passed a month before and I couldn't bring myself to go without her... I'm ready to see them again... Seems a little silly but I actually get really happy when Brian takes his shirt off. I would show my daughter his pics of him with his shirt off and point at it and say "See! He also had the same heart condition you did. He isn't ashamed to show his scars. He is able to do what he loves regardless of obstacles". She used to be timid about her surgical scars but over the years she is proud of them. She also loves music like he does. So I get happy whenever I see them because he was a good example for her growing up. I would dedicate this song her.
I'm 56 years old, and got notice the other day that I've failed to score high enough on my exams, and subsequently have been rejected for admission to dental school. This comes after months of study. Today, this song has taken on significant meaning and brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it, and I'm not the crying type. Yeah, I was down for a bit. I have respect for Kevin and Howie for always being such decent and correct man. They stay more in the background, but those who see their value, make it worth a 10.000 times more. AJ has always been my favourite for other reasons and that will remain for the nostalgic feels i get when i see or hear him :) I just wanted to give some credit for Kevin and Howie for being who they are, cause that should not go unnoticed. I love them all anyway and they made people lives so much better! That is something they can always be proud of and something we will always remember and pass through!
My mother died two years ago from brain cancer. My mom was my only parent and best friend. My mother and I love y'all. We spent a many of hours making a scrap book of yall from magazines. This song has helped me to not to give up. The black sea of depression and sadness still tries to drown me, but I'm getting little closer to the surface but still not close enough to say I'm okay. Karan Jack My daughter got me hooked on them in 1997 when she begged me to take her to their concert in Louisville, Ky. It was an early birthday present for her and she had recorded Everybody off the radio onto a cassette for us to listen to in the car on our 8 hour round trip. We must’ve listened to that tape a hundred times. Our seats were the highest in the arena, but when BSB was performing, it didn’t matter. When they came out at the end to sing Everybody, it was amazing, and I’ve loved them ever since. Not even N’Sync, New Kids on the Block, or Boys 2 Men can compete.

This is why BSB the best boy band of all time. The members of BSB are not just band mates but they're best friends, you have to be if you last as long as they have. in the industry without permanently calling it quits. The group never officially broke up so... still together and making good music. The lack of recognition that this song has, it deserves better. Let's not forget that BSB is the most successful boy band in history. There's just no touching them lol.
Of course, they were the first boys-band of this type and they still exist and still together. The group is of my age and it saw a lot of copy cats appearing and disappearing from time to time. I don't know how is it abroad, but in my country all the groups like that are often called BSB-like. I think they made this standard and will carry it until the end, cause the music outside BSB changed a lot.
Sylvia Bluebird he said that group officially never broke up and he is right. When Kevin left, they didn't even replace him, as it usually happens. Then he just came back. By the way, Nick has solo albums, but he's also still in the group.

Because now the music is all around hip-hop and synthetic, and they represent the style they started with and never changed. So, children of 90's and earlier still appreciate this, but the youngsters will rather consider it as "old men music". By the way, Britney Spears is trying to follow the trends and changed her style cardinally, but it doesn't help her much. So I think everyone would better keep their own style to be recognizable and beloved by the fans, that appeared at the beginning.

I mean i miss the days when bands like them and five or n'sync were at the radio all the time. When i tried to listen today's famous bands like One Direction i was dissapointed, Words are without any meaning. With their return I can have real men not kids singing, with lyrics that have sense. I didn't pay much attention to the music and lyrics when I only checked one of their most popular songs, thinking they're just the same as NSYNC, but right now going through their songs I realize their music is much more heartfelt and wholesome, singing bout true love rather than typical boybands ( like NSYNC ) and pop acts - and I don't mean just this song, but their singles from tge 90's too. A couple of years ago I found my old Backstreet Boys cds and I listened to them fondly. Now that I am 29 and a bit more eclectic I finally got myself to search for you again. Right now specifically I am going through a hard time in my life, with major changes and life decisions and I stumbled upon this song and this video in the morning after a night I couldn't sleep out of pure anxiety. Brian was born with the congenital heart defect, and he underwent open heart surgery to fix it which left him a big scar on his chest. He had never once shown his scar, so he decided to show'em what he made of in this video. (source : their interview in 2013) So proud of him.
I can kind of relate: I have epilepsy and got two VNS in treat my seizures so I wouldn't have them anymore! I've been seizure free since 2011 but I got a scar right above my left breast to remind me of my surgery and one on my thyroid too! Brian, you're an inspiration to me!
Y'all this song just made my 6 year old cry. Other kids have been bullying her at her school. Because of the small things I told her this song is against bullying and that she needs and should show them what she is made of. Her being a unique little girl. Wih precious dreams and goals. +baggos theoharis vocal tension dysphonia. It's a condition where the muscles wrap around the vocal chord and put stress on it producing not a very pleasant sound. Therefore he can't control his voice like he used to. It's most likely from years and years of using it improperly and being on the road touring. Although he is improving so much and is getting the help he needs:)
The Dysphonia is caused by neurological constraint as well -Stress and so on. Furthermore, Brian had the swine flu some years ago, which could've definitely started the whole thing also. From what I can hear, Brian has always had a pretty good vocal technique, so I don't think that was the reason for his condition...
Love how their still together after all these years even though Kevin left for a few years. They come back stronger than ever never heard anything bad about these guys except AJ and his darkness but they stood right by his side. BSB FOREVER!!!!

I still have my tickets to the show I was supposed to see with my mom in 2005. She passed a month before and I couldn't bring myself to go without her... I'm ready to see them again... Seems a little silly but I actually get really happy when Brian takes his shirt off. I would show my daughter his pics of him with his shirt off and point at it and say "See! He also had the same heart condition you did. He isn't ashamed to show his scars. He is able to do what he loves regardless of obstacles". She used to be timid about her surgical scars but over the years she is proud of them. She also loves music like he does. So I get happy whenever I see them because he was a good example for her growing up. I would dedicate this song her.

I have respect for Kevin and Howie for always being such decent and correct man. They stay more in the background, but those who see their value, make it worth a 10.000 times more. AJ has always been my favourite for other reasons and that will remain for the nostalgic feels i get when i see or hear him :) I just wanted to give some credit for Kevin and Howie for being who they are, cause that should not go unnoticed. I love them all anyway and they made people lives so much better! That is something they can always be proud of and something we will always remember and pass through!

My mother died two years ago from brain cancer. My mom was my only parent and best friend. My mother and I love y'all. We spent a many of hours making a scrap book of yall from magazines. This song has helped me to not to give up. The black sea of depression and sadness still tries to drown me, but I'm getting little closer to the surface but still not close enough to say I'm okay. Karan Jack My daughter got me hooked on them in 1997 when she begged me to take her to their concert in Louisville, Ky. It was an early birthday present for her and she had recorded Everybody off the radio onto a cassette for us to listen to in the car on our 8 hour round trip. We must’ve listened to that tape a hundred times. Our seats were the highest in the arena, but when BSB was performing, it didn’t matter. When they came out at the end to sing Everybody, it was amazing, and I’ve loved them ever since. Not even N’Sync, New Kids on the Block, or Boys 2 Men can compete.

The members of BSB are not just band mates but they're best friends, you have to be if you last as long as they have. in the industry without permanently calling it quits. The group never officially broke up so... still together and making good music.
The lack of recognition that this song has, it deserves better. Let's not forget that BSB is the most successful boy band in history. There's just no touching them lol.
Of course, they were the first boys-band of this type and they still exist and still together. The group is of my age and it saw a lot of copy cats appearing and disappearing from time to time. I don't know how is it abroad, but in my country all the groups like that are often called BSB-like. I think they made this standard and will carry it until the end, cause the music outside BSB changed a lot.

I honestly have no idea how their music is not more popular. The music is incredible smh
Because now the music is all around hip-hop and synthetic, and they represent the style they started with and never changed. So, children of 90's and earlier still appreciate this, but the youngsters will rather consider it as "old men music".
By the way, Britney Spears is trying to follow the trends and changed her style cardinally, but it doesn't help her much. So I think everyone would better keep their own style to be recognizable and beloved by the fans, that appeared at the beginning.

I didn't pay much attention to the music and lyrics when I only checked one of their most popular songs, thinking they're just the same as NSYNC, but right now going through their songs I realize their music is much more heartfelt and wholesome, singing bout true love rather than typical boybands ( like NSYNC ) and pop acts - and I don't mean just this song, but their singles from tge 90's too. I was a fan in my early teens and after switching to Heavy Metal at 14 I left all my pop idols behind me.
A couple of years ago I found my old Backstreet Boys cds and I listened to them fondly. Now that I am 29 and a bit more eclectic I finally got myself to search for you again. Right now specifically I am going through a hard time in my life, with major changes and life decisions and I stumbled upon this song and this video in the morning after a night I couldn't sleep out of pure anxiety.
This song brought me to tears and gave me the bit of warmth I really needed.

This song is one of the powerful songs besides show me the meaning of being lonely I truly they’ve ever written!! I literally grew up with these guys and they still are one of my favorite boy bands ever!!! They actually life stories behind these songs really shows their growth and the fact they’re still together 30yrs later is pretty awesome!!

Helen T - BSB was only supposed to do two months (March & June) residency but they extended it for April just a few days ago. I just bought my Sat ticket today. Saturday is pretty hard to get and it's pretty pricey. I hope you get to see them in Vegas :)

Brian was born with the congenital heart defect, and he underwent open heart surgery to fix it which left him a big scar on his chest. He had never once shown his scar, so he decided to show'em what he made of in this video. (source : their interview in 2013)

I can kind of relate: I have epilepsy and got two VNS in treat my seizures so I wouldn't have them anymore! I've been seizure free since 2011 but I got a scar right above my left breast to remind me of my surgery and one on my thyroid too! Brian, you're an inspiration to me!

Y'all this song just made my 6 year old cry. Other kids have been bullying her at her school. Because of the small things I told her this song is against bullying and that she needs and should show them what she is made of. Her being a unique little girl. Wih precious dreams and goals. +baggos theoharis vocal tension dysphonia. It's a condition where the muscles wrap around the vocal chord and put stress on it producing not a very pleasant sound. Therefore he can't control his voice like he used to. It's most likely from years and years of using it improperly and being on the road touring. Although he is improving so much and is getting the help he needs:)
The Dysphonia is caused by neurological constraint as well -Stress and so on. Furthermore, Brian had the swine flu some years ago, which could've definitely started the whole thing also. From what I can hear, Brian has always had a pretty good vocal technique, so I don't think that was the reason for his condition...
