I'm not a Villa fan, but my God do I love watching them. The way Emery sets up his team, regardless the opposition, he gets the absolute maximum out of his squad and makes the opposition nervous. A couple more seasons going on the upward trajectory that Emery takes them, the ultimate sleeping giant will win a major honour and the Villa fans deserve it. A wonderful club.
Nice words mate ..Even though people do talk about the job Emerys done so far at Villa I really think most of those people don’t realise how good of a job he’s actually done..the night when Villa sacked Gerrard we’d just lost and were battered against Fulham and we sat only out of the relegation positions on goal difference..now to cut a long story short Emery came in and with those very same players got us European football for the next season..last season as everyone knows we did great getting to a European semi final “should’ve won it tbh” and getting top four and a champions league spot..I mean the trajectory of the team under Unai has been underrated by people imo and I honestly don’t think Klopp or even Pep would’ve done what Emerys done in 18 months with those players Emerys had to work with..for Unai and Aston Villa it’s the right man at the right time at the perfect club
As a celtic fan and from our CSC .....thoughts and prayers to Gary shaw family and what a fitting way villa produced tonight ........look forward to first trip to villa park in January........RIP Gary shaw
Unai is brilliant, but come on Villa's greatest manager is Ron Saunders, promotion, 2 league cups, the league title and the European cup, yes he left a few months before we won the European cup but it was his team, all this achieved in 8 years.
