On that note, I find it ironic that most Christians boast and tell people that they were baptized, that they got dunked or sprinkled or whatever in water. Why don't they just say I have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ! In his death, and his burial, and in his resurrection!! NO....they wanna boast in what they have done!
CHRIST ALONE! IN THAT WE ARE COMPLETE ❤❤❤

It boggles one mind after knowing what the Gospel is, how someone could go back to works salvation.

Well said. Despite, we being the body of Christ should never compromise with the unrighteous/ lawless living as far as possible. And if we fall, repent immediately.

    EXCELLENT MESSAGE.
We cannot know someone else's true heart, we can go by only what they tell us, but wouldn't you wonder about someone who says they understood and believed Paul's gospel (and even preached it) but then turned aside to a works gospel?

The believing is not the saving act. The saving act is a work of the Holy Spirit, believing simply releases God's Spirit to go to work. What he does is undeserved.
If the saving act of God upon a lost soul is undeserved, and occurs while someone is a dirty rotten sinner, then how is the same dirty rotten sinner going to UNDO what wasn't deserved to begin with? Works didn't save, and works cannot un-save.
Belief in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, trusting the blood atonement alone for salvation, is a one-way street as it pertains to God's actions upon man's soul.

We have believed it for so long that it seems like a silly question. If it is free and you do some work for it, then it is not free. Who doesn't want a free gift! One would think that if someone offers you a free gift and then said you have to do this much work to receive you free gift,, I;m running away from that free gift (free gift isnt even good English!)because it is not free and the one offering just lied to me. Lol it, makes me dizzy to think the thought!

A: Someone who believes the gift is of little to no value; someone who believes they can do for themselves through their own pride, what they cannot possibly do.

Being in the Olad Man Adam is condemnation. If being saved we are put into Christ, can we also say we are taken out of the Old Adam and Put into Christ, the New Man?

@wayne4424 1Cor 15 makes clear that everyone is either in Adam (lost) or in Christ (saved). Grace.

"Columbus Bible Church" I thought we had the free will to chose to be saved or not. If someone believes in the real Gospel and they're saved, then later on in life they believe a different Gospel and don't want to accept and reject the real Gospel, wouldn't God grant them that will, or will God say it's too late I'm forcing you to be saved??

@jackfrost99 Free will is such that some choices are irreversible. When one makes the choice to beget a child, one becomes a father. One can disown the child, but one can never cease to be the child’s father. Salvation today is similarly irreversible, but that is not a denial of free will. It is simply that some choices are irreversible. Hope this helps.
