No burning witches in Salem they were all given the rope except for the one guy that was crushed with rocks and has one of the best badass one-liners, more weight.
Nearest funny how everyone in the past 5 years was just now found this out and now are spreading this information as if they've known this for the past hundreds of years.
I like his movies as someone that grew up in a southernish state his southern Gothic style is different from many Hollywood horror films. They are very hit or miss though.
Rob and Sheri have their own animal sanctuary, and have done a lot of work for animals, and animal rights. It’s probably why I give him a pass on so much. That, and I still want him to make Werewolf Women of the SS.
I know it totally threw me off when I found out he was a vegetarian (or vegan, I don't remember which). Then, finding out how into animal safety they are into just makes me think of him as Abby from NCIS. Just because you're interested in some morid or dark subjects doesn't mean you can't be cool people. 😊 And for sure, I'd be down with Werewolf women of the SS. I'd love to see if he pays homage to Ilsa she wolf of the SS.
Being raised in Ma and growing up on Salem and the witch trials it irritates the ever loving shit out of me when people mention the women being burned. No one was burned. They were hung and tossed in a ditch. The burnings were done in Europe
Can you do "LongLegs" or "Cuckoo" next 🙏🏼 please? I need understanding of these 2 movies, and you're literally the best at explaining these horror, suspense ,and thriller movies.
I really liked that this movie was an experience instead of just a movie you watch for the storyline. I'm not knocking mainstream movies, I like that the good movies let you turn off the part of your mind that has to interact with daily reality and you can just get lost in the reality of the story. Every once in a while it's nice to watch a movie that actively engages your whole mind. Lots of people try to make complicated movies to do that and fail. Rob is able to do this effortlessly here with his iconic imagery and score and ability to cultivate and translate atmosphere for multiple senses.
Its always a awesome thing to check the channel for new content and its still the same videos but as soon as you click off of it a notification hits for a new new video
Honestly the most unique Rob Zombie movie of his. Yes there is humor, but not not so much like his other movies and actually follows the Salam Witch trials. Besides Serri Moon and the on and off humor you could barley tell it was a Rob Zombie movie and I actually enjoyed watching it. Up there with House of a 1,000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects in enjoyment
Wow it does not feel like 12 years since this film was released, I was junior or senior in highschool back in 2012 when I first watched this. Why does the passage of time have to be so trippy 😩
i read the book for this too and there’s a lot more details and backstory to everything, including multiple perspectives that we don’t see in the film. one of them being the receptionist, who really isn’t even a character in the movie. it also has a slightly differently played out ending
This channel is so good I stopped watching a little under 2 years ago just so I could come back and binge more. Most underrated channel on youtube. Also thought this movie was better than popular belief at least when it came out.
After being an avid fan of Rob Zombie's music and then his films, from House of 1000 Corpse onward, I was able to see one of the opening night screenings of The Lords Of Salem and I remember not knowing how I even felt about it as soon as it concluded. Only thinking "what did I just watch?" This was of course after having witnessed a scene that had me asking a friend about why the long nailed Chewbacca just randomly popped in only to be informed it was Satan leading to my very uncharacteristically audible exclamation mid film of "THAT'S SATAN?!" and the conclusionary introduction to the "rubber baby" character that I would continue to feel that way about it until I was able to sit and watch it for a second time at home. And that second watch was all I needed to leave this film to still be to this day one of my favorite films ever. Fucking love it lol Edit: also in case someone reads this, that weird stomping folk record is the classic song "Venus in Furs" and should be listened to by anyone who hasn't already heard the whole song. Also fucking awesome lol
I just finished watching this and while I am generally a fan of Rob Zombie I have to say that this is one hour and 35 minutes of my life that I wish I had back.
watched this immediately after explorin Salem and it was such an interesting and memorable experience ~ excited to watch this and hopefully understand more LOL
I like many of Zombie's movies, but this one just seemed 1/2 baked. Sherri was good and proves that yes, she can act if given a chance. Thanks for the cool vid, though. Would love to see ya do H2, another strange effort.
I really enjoyed this movie outside of some of the standard Zombie weird stuff towards the end. I actually liked the strange hypnotic music that kicked off the problems. It was pretty cool...☺
Holy shit man. This is awesome. I have this on DVD and I have always loved showing this movie to people. They’re always like what am I even watching bro? Lol.
Unrelated, I saw Longlegs and I thought it was kind of dull. I don't know if it's just because the dialogue was mid or because the characters felt like props more than people, but I'm curious if I'm just disappointed by the hype falling short or if it really isn't that scary...
Loved this movie. It made me think for a moment that Rob Zombie actually IS a good director. House was good for what it was and Rejects felt like a bit of a step up, but everything else he's done sucks so terribly I forgot I used to love his music and wrote him off as a complete hack. Sometimes I get reminded that he can display genuine talent and skill...occasionally.
Also my neighbors used to blast mariachi music all day long. Well I found a 22 hour edit of the lords music duuuh duh dech duuuh duh dech. And I rewired my grandmas speakers. And blasted that shit for 3-days straight.
God, I would love to be in a Rob Zombie film. I really would. It would be awesome, and probably even fun during production when things were going correctly. That would be awesome...
That “what did the baby do?” At 5:17 had me in stitches for some reason 😂
When I got to that part in the movie I had a similar reaction 😮😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think it’s the sincere confusion in his voice

It is basicly Rosemarys babt

There were a lot of historical inaccuracies in this. It really bothered me, I guess because I expected a little better from RZ. I don't know why.
You should focus on something else then, that urban legend isn't dying anytime soon.
