      @@levelgo5607 I used to live just near there. I miss that and Cote St. Luc BBQ. There's no good MTL-style rotisserie chicken in Calgary, aside from some Swiss Chalets out in the suburbs.

    True Story. i bet Baruchel will remember this. Just saw him last week at JFL festival in MTL. as i came out of the washroom with my hands just washed (they were still wet from water/soap).. i saw Jay walking by the washroom very fast. he saw me coming out of washroom...so i said, OMG, jay, and i shook his hand. he made this horrible face and didn't seem to like it. i bet he thought that was Pee. Jay, if u read this, that was NOT pee, i just finished washing my hands.

    A funny thing, Jay and I spent our childhoods on the exact same part of the exact same street in Montreal. At the bottom of a little avenue in East NDG near de Maisonneuve. I'm a good deal older than him but he knows several of my cousins.

    Jay - There used to be a St. Huberts in Toronto, near Avenue Road and Lawrence. I can't vouch for it anymore. I used to go there when I lived in Ottawa.

      Not horrible stuff don't get me wrong....but mtl food has that love & yummy quality mixed into it that unless you grew up there, you can't know the difference.

      I mean, it's still chicken and fries/potatoes, it's hard to go too far wrong with that one. You must have quite the discerning palate.
      Too bad your beloved St. Hubert's (which I've had, as there's one almost as soon as you reach the outskirts of the first town you pass through when you enter Quebec coming from Toronto...seems pretty much the same to me) has been bought out by Swiss Chalet!

    Everyone talks about New York Style pizza and other styles... few people know about Montreal style pizza. That is what I missed most after leaving Montreal. You can order pizza pretty much anywhere in the Montreal and surrounding areas and it will be better than anywhere in Toronto.

      Or Schwartz, The Main, L'Express or another bistro, a Vietnamese place, Au Pied Du Cochon, a Portuguese grill... hell anywhere but a crappy chain restaurant.
