In my opinion hopper bottom does same thing but is way simpler and million times more reliable (no mowing parts). Only downside I see is that it takes some vertical space, but you could always dig into ground instead of putting it above ground as normally.
Great video. I'm assuming the metal bin itself will Outlast the the cleanout system? Do you know if they offer replacement kits when it's time for that change to be made?
Thanks for the response BTP I think this is a very good system ... Sweeping augers are dangerous and one has to be very careful when working around them
Looks like you'd still have to get in the bin to clean it totally. Takes about 2 hours to clean out a 24' bin with a sweep auger so I'm a little skeptical of the ROI of this system.
Definitely pretty cool technology personally I’ve never shovelled out a green bin but the videos I’ve seen the people doing it does not look like fun however I’m curious to see if you could retrofit that on and on our old or a green bin
How significant are the asymmetrical loading on the sides of the bin? The alternating pattern of inflate/deflate means the symmetry loading of the bin is disturbed.
Man we are gonna invent ourselves right out of a job never mind hired help. The second the whole caboodle is automated then big investor Inc will just have a head office run all the farms from an office tower in down town Chicago right across from the trade building.
Interesting concept however I have serious concerns about the manufacturer bag life claim as well as rodent concerns not only the chewing holes in them but living in them the vent/pressure hoses and tramping of moisture in creases, folds, and or back side of the bag which would be a harbor for mold, mildew, etc. Additionally I have lots of concerns of about cleaning (sanitizing) of these bag inside and out if the grain bin were to submerged in water because most times when that happens the mud/sediment left behind isn’t so nice and maybe I am weird or whatever but when grain bins gets cleaned out they get spayed with a bleach solution well just because if nothing else it makes me feel better. One last thing the rep for this product would be wise to put a qualifier of his statements about “Never” having to go back into a grain bin with this technology (product) installed. I say this because people and lawyers are so literal anymore. I guess the last question is how much for a soup to nuts setup and what are the power requirements.
GSI was one of my customers many years ago. They were good people to work with.
I knew the sloan family well. They are all good people.
Love all that farm equipment, nice Peterbilt Truck
👍👍
Thanks for supporting the company I work for!!!
Great company. Great innovative products. 😁👍👍
Is it mice and rat proof? One good mouse would do a number on that tarp material
There's no way that material is going to last the 20 - 30 years he's quoting. Like to see the warranty on that. Wildlife always seems to find a way.
Nice to see new technology in grain bins. From watching new grain bin construction they all seem to have the same problems in same area of the bins
Nice,looks like a cool system.
That is a very nice system. Saves a lot of back pain👍
Nice idea if it holds up well big farmer are going to install this to save on labor and time.
It would be nice to not have to get into the dust and mess.
Scruffy 61 It will depend on price.
Impressive
I LIVE .5 MILE FROM THIS SITE!
😁👍👍
Very cool bin system 👍
And what happens when the hoses break connection with a bag? No sweep with this.. get a vac and go in??

If it lives up to the claims with efficiency & reliability, then this is a game changer - I fully expect this to be a very popular option
It will be interesting to see how it develops.
Pretty 😎! Agco has a lot going on

It looks like you still have to clean around the sump. What about running air through the grain to keep the grain from getting hot?
Johnathan mentions in the interview the air tubes that inflate the sides also add air to the grain.
How wil air be blown in through the floor with this system installed ?
It goes through the inflation tubes that feed the air bags.
Thanks for the response BTP

Great video. In my area, there are just a few hopper feed bins. The big ones aren't build around here.

Haul it straight to the elevator is the best way outta sight outta mind..

The bags are flat on the floor when filling. They are only inflated to empty out the last little bit in the bottom of the bin.
It's only a 30 foot bin, and even with a sweep auger we usually get asymmetrical loads on the opposite side.

Point and click.
The clean up job in the dust and dark is one job I don’t think most farmers would miss.
I had no idea Agco owned GSI
Neither did i lol
Agco is big
Very Big
Flexwave... reminds me of the old Crate guitar amps from the 1990s.
marshall half stack...
Dave Hughes Farm hell yeah! Started on a Crate but it was all Marshall and MESA/Boogie after that. Still have those amps too
They could never answer the "how do you get air to the grain to dry it?" question
Very good question.
He said they aerate through the middle trough and the black tubes inside the bin. Doesn't seem like that would be enough?
You can tell how much faith we have in those, compared to a fully aerated floor.
Interesting
And that will never last..
Time will tell. They say it’s built to last 20-30 years.
Or one rat, whichever comes first...
one small rodent hole bags wont inflate, and what is the cost?
I was thinking that too, but with less than 1 psi and seemingly large input volume, small holes might not be as big of a problem as I'd expect?

✌️✌️✌️✌️
all bull ship ,soon it will be gone
