Hey Ray, sorry for the late comment but it's been a challenge here the last couple days. that tropical storm hit us and we were flooded pretty good. didn't get in the house but I had a river about 2 feet deep and about 100 feet wide across my yard. so I took my kayak out and paddled around my yard😂😂😂. Great video, my brother. you are so lucky to have a family to go hiking with. and they enjoy it as much as you. truly blessed. Dwayne
My friend, I hope you’re high and dry by now. As I mentioned I’m backpacking the CT. If I don’t respond right away you know why. I think about you during the long days on the trail hoping you find the best.
OK. No pressure, but I really look forward to your weekly videos.🙂 What a great opportunity to adventure with your family. Life doesn’t get much better than that. Thanks for sharing your experience and the beautiful outdoors 🙂
Thank you so much! I will be taking a hiatus in a bit as I head out on an adventure, but I’ll come back with more stories to tell. Thanks for your encouragement!
What an amazing adventure with your family! Kudos to Flash for finding directions! Always listen to the wisdom of your wife! 🙂 What would you do if you ran into a grizzly in those bushes?! YIKES!
"DONJEK River" i cannot tell if that is an ice river, a water-flowing river, or what? ... I can only hope it is not a distress pin processed to me somehow ...
@akwild1 the pin looked like it was beside a river. It's presumable the terrain is opposite features/seasonal quality from where the Root Glacier Trail is. 👣 I would not know Like I'd stated, it wa a randomly processed dropped pin while I use Google maps both to plan actual ventures as well as study men Ionwd geographic/topological feature I hear/read of. am hoping to visit former coworker who is a ranger in Yose. Sooner than later, if still working. Hopefully not a distressed pin processed inaccurately, like I think I may have been across
@akwild1 so am I.! ...I look at Geographic information via Google maps, and my device will just randomly point out different waypoints. That "dropped pin" waypoint was near to your described location, but in the Canada side of the Alaskan-Canadian border. I do not know how, or why, that occurs, largely because "S.M.A.R.Techology" and a.i. are new to me. (Here in urban southern California, that is very late on). About a month ago, one of these first "dropped" pins accompanied a news-reported missing persons instance. So, I am a little inquiet about the occurrence. ... I guess it would be sane enough to be glad to read/hear any response from you. I'm presuming your hike got you back home safe and well. ...
Great video and an amazing adventure. Love the story about your wife calling for directions😃
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, that was a new one!
Thanks for sharing your adventure. Family always makes it great!

So beautiful! we have to get down there and do some hiking some time. Get out of our comfort zone in the Interior.
Sounds good Karen. McCarthy is a hoot.

Flash would agree, and so would I, unless when she looks at a game trail and says,”let’s see where this goes.
@@akwild1 LOL!

Root Glacier in Wrangell-St Elias. It’s a glacier, with lots of rivulets throughout.

I’m confused. Could you explain the context.
