    Hello ,,I've done 110000km, car is very much smooth. Changed clutch and Gearbox oil.. I strongly appreciate brake pads from Rane premium brake pads.. It's fantastic stopping experience compared to oe.. Don't worry about the rotors.. I've changed 2sets .. It's smooth and sharp... very cost effective. Am using Bosch oil filter 200rs. G Energy fully synthetic oil... 2000rs for 4ltrs .. 5w40 grade. You may need a small top up before ur oil change or may not if used sparingly.. Continental tyres are good, change radiator fluid at 50000km.. Plugs Denso at 40000km , nothing else.. You get 13km on highway with 120km speed.. 15kmpl if driven at 90km speed. Keep ur wiper blades clear and the windshield water tank with good additive.. Car will clock 5lakh km without any major issues.. And only Enthusiastic people own a petrol Corolla car 😎..Happy driving!!

      Honda is ok but lacks Torque.. Seating is good in front only.. Suspension is too soft. Brakes are ok , skinny tyres, Don't get carried away by the logo vtec be practical!! Old maruti baleno will outclass Honda!! It's just a rich Doctor's car type 😊

      I had this car for 11 years it was a breeze to drive, loved it a lot. The biggest issue in this car is the suspension, it's exorbitantly costly. Also the car had lot's of soft touch materials inside, lots of cars have cracked dashboards. The ride quality was sublime, it was even better than some Audis and BMW'S i sat in.

    Good choice of background music, well articulated sentences with decent delivery and intonation. As an automobile enthusiast, your review was pleasant and informative. Almost text book like precision on the description of the suspension and undulations on the road though :) Well done and thanks for making this. I'm thinking of getting a 2010 petrol Altis now in 2022 just for fun.

    What is the mileage for this petrol corolla altis manual variant ? For city especially I am asking because I know on highway it will give 13,14kmpl . Will it atleast give 9 to 11kmpl mileage in city ? Because that sounds great for a 11yr old petrol corolla altis in city. Because I am looking for a used car to drive in city and Highways, I will drive it once or twice a week maybe not much . Therefore I guess this would be perfect 🙂. Anyway I heard that the AC and suspension set-up costs a lot to repair for this car. Is it true?

    • @SHIFTANDSURGE
      @SHIFTANDSURGE  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The car gives me an average of about 11 km/l. Parts are generally a bit costlier than brands like Maruthi as Lexus and Toyota share similar spares but these tend to last a lot longer.

      Hey,
      The Toyota Corolla Altis [2014-2017] is one segment above all your other shortlisted cars. The Corolla is a better car overall. Since you are prioritising rear seat comfort and ride quality over all other factors this should be a good fit. Apart from that you also get Toyota’s reliability, ease of maintenance, and will be easier on your wallet.
      As far as petrol and diesel cars go, the price difference between petrol and diesel is not huge and it’s only the mileage that will play you role in the decision you will have to make. Ultimately you can choose either ones based on whether you require better performance and driveability over mileage in a petrol car or vice versa for the other. The general idea is that if you drive more than 2000km a month it’s better to go for the diesel else you can opt for the petrol.
      Make sure to weigh your options well and make the right decision.
      Cheers!

      That very much depends on your driving style. It gives me 11km/l average. I don’t cross 2500 rpm in lower gears.

      Prices will depend on where you are from, make sure it matches with the average prices of a similar specced corolla in your location. Make sure to get the vehicle thoroughly inspected by a trusted mechanic before the purchase (suspension, ac unit and all others ). 80,000 is nothing much for a Toyota.

      It was a bit early for the market and it might have to do with the fact that it was underrated with a subtle design and interiors.
