When he recovers and sees the love shown for him will be amazing, then when he sees the charity donations he’ll be in shock. Was go happy to see all the fan love from all over and all teams.
The reality that all of these guys literally put their lives on the line for our entertainment has never hit home like it just did. You guys are appreciated. My thoughts go out to Damar Hamlin, his family, and the entire NFL family.
I was at a high school football game when I saw a young man who had signed his letter of intent to play at KU score a touchdown jog to the sideline and collapse. He’d had a stroke. They took him by ambulance and the game continued. He died later after the team was brought in to say goodbye. His organs were donated. It traumatized my daughter (band) he went down in front of her. Not everyone deals with these things the same way. The other schools all rallied and supported our school in the following games. But the communal mourning was overwhelming for my kiddo who struggled with terrible anxiety for years. It was hard to return to school. Remembering that every person is different. I am heartened to hear you are getting individual support through this.

I really appreciate you all doing this episode. I look forward to New Heights every week. I knew after MNF that your next episode couldn't be normal, but I just hoped you would put out an episode this week, anticipating it would be somber. It's good that you devoted the episode to Hamlin and the situation, gave us your own perspectives, and some insight into how the rest of the NFL is processing this. For all of us fans, though, an episode like this also helps us process our thoughts and emotions when you players try to put your thoughts and feelings into words, despite being vulnerable. I think it speaks volumes that you guys are relatable and are willing to connect with us, no matter the high or low of the situation. Love you guys.

Also, props to McDermott for having the stones to step up and say 'we shouldn't be here right now' and to Zac Taylor for having the empathy to go along with what the Bills needed at that point. However, hearing this perspective has really made me appreciate the point of view of people watching their loved ones played contact sports. So, thank you as usual, guys.
Absolutely love your hearts! Mama & Papa Kelce did great. Prayers up for #3 ❤️💙
The seriousness of the situation is sending shockwaves through the Nation, not just in football but all sports. Thank you guys for the conversations. We NEED to talk about these things instead of ‘just moving on as if everything will be okay’ because sadly, sometimes.. it’s not. Awareness and communication is so important. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and helping all of us process this.
I'm grateful you both spoke about this from players' perspectives. You have it exactly right. I also want to say I was very glad to see how the NFLPA stood up for its members in such an emotional time. All workers need a UNION. My thoughts are with Damar and his family as he fully recovers.
I loved this show before but this just shows how thoughtful and just genuinely decent people the Kelces are. The real concern they have for not just Damar but his family is really great. Pray for Damar and appreciate what these human beings are risking playing this game we all love
As a football fan, seeing that happen live, still has me shaken. I am consistently praying for Damar, his family and friends, and teammates. I appreciate hearing both your perspectives and it just further proves how deeply this event has affected the NFL community.
You two are class acts. Proud to call myself a chiefs fan, a Kelce bros fan, and a sports fan
Pray for Damar Hamlin🙏
While you're praying I'm going to use technology to save his life. If prayers worked, the hospitals would be empty.
@@zaineridling are you the doctor? Should I know if your the doctor best we can do is pray to God. God listen to our prayers technology can’t save him without God helping prayers up Damar Hamlin
Huge respect for you guys doing this episode for Damar Hamlin! The great thing about football is that it brings people together as one and the support around the world right now is incredible! 🙏
I think everyone right now is that guys fan. Rooting for him to pull through, we're all fans right now. I know he has my prayers.
As always, a class act by the Kelce brothers. Thank you for doing this.
Bills mafia here Love u guys much respect listen every week thank you for all you do! Hope to see u BOTH on the field!!
You guys couldn’t have been anymore professional. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being human❤️
Love, respect, prayers to Damar Hamlin, his family, the Bills/Bengals, Tee Higgins. Thank you Kelce Brothers for handling this respectfully. Much love to you, your families, and especially your football families. Love a Nurse.
Thinking of Damar daily, praying for a full recovery. ❤️💛❤️💛
Feel horrible for the NFL community and the Player families. This might have been the best, most real episode yet! Circumstances suck, but man, you guys expressed true & raw emotion. Thanks for sharing
Well said and expected nothing less from the brothers! Mad respect to Travis for holding them tears back. I see you bro, you not the only one 😢
Thanks for this heartfelt and serious and sensitive discussion. Hats off to you, your teammates, and all the NFL -- and your families. I've really appreciated the focus on family and team family from most everyone. Hope you all feel the love and support being sent your way! Getting back on the horse is tough...
I’ve been looking forward to this all morning. I knew you Guys would do Justice to His story ❤❤Thank You 🙏❤️🙏At this point, There is One Team..Damar’s
So much respect for you both!!!
I really appreciate Jason referencing “sports” as a whole and not just football. Hugs and prayers ! ♥️
Those teammates are your family, and there is nothing more comforting than being around your family after something traumatic such as this. I’m so very thankful that both of you have your football families and your biological families to support you. So of course it’s comforting for you to be back in your facilities with them. All fans, and members of the teams are praying hard for Damar and his family - bio family and team family. You guys as people are way more important to us than a game of football. Prayers for all of you. ❤
A sad Travis Kelce is devastating. Great job guys, you are classy men.
I love the Kelce morals. Y'all are some great role models! Thank you for everything through the ups and downs ♥️
It is great that they are using their platform to address the serious issues that go on in the NFL.
Watching this months later, knowing he’s fine, and still sobbing. Thank you for your sensitivity and humanity.
You guys are being so vulnerable and we appreciate you talking about this difficult topic and how you all feel about it. Love and prayers for Damar, his family, and all of you guys affected by this. ❤️💔
Im watching this a year later. Like alot of other fans. I could not imagine what it was like at the game for this. Thank you two for being real. I was praying alot that night as well. I was happy to see the coaches and teams not playing after this. I dont think anyone expected this type of experience.
Much love guys to you and all the NFL. Been praying for Damar, his family but didn't even think of the rest of all the players on every team. I will now though. I think as a fan of football one of millions we all have heavy hearts for what happened. I was watching talking to my sister who was watching at her house and I told her when he went down this isn't good, not at all and got off the phone and said a prayer right then. I seen a ESPN report just a little bit ago and it was said that the doctors seen last night what they wanted to see from him but he is still in ICU. So lets do our part if your the kind of person that prays keep it up and if not do what you do is all we can do right now. Thanks guys for coming on even though we know your hurting and with heavy hearts.
A New Height in appreciation for the amazing humans y'all are, and love and prayers for all who play this game for us fans! I resolve to never take for granted the humanity of this game we love. 92%erz praying for DAMAR HAMLIN & FAMILY which is all of us in this life, "Love ine another " ❤️🙏
Huge props to you guys sharing your perspective and empathy. All we can do now and is pray and try our best to leave a positive impact on this world.
This incident is absolutely the scariest and most tragic thing I have observed in all of my years watching football.
We pray and lift this young man up and pray for healing and recovery.
We support and send love to all involved🙏🏻😟
I watch your podcast religiously every week. Finding this podcast has brought joy to my Wednesdays.
This particular podcast was heartfelt and kind. Thank you.
Much respect to Jason & Travis. And Big prayers going up to Demar Hamlin and his family. Life is way more valuable than a game.
😇🙏
Prayers for Demar and his family. My mom was a driver in NASCAR and hit the wall at 108 G’s and I was hours away watching live on tv…. It is the most terrifying, gut wrenching and helpless feeling in the world and I can only empathize with his mom that was there watching BC I personally know that feeling. I’m just so happy to see the out pouring of prayers and positivity for him and his family and wish him the best recovery ❤
No disrespect but I think you mean 108 mph, 108 Gs she would have been a puddle.
How was your Mom a NASCAR driver?
@@fredwerza3478 How? What do you mean how? She did good in dirt track racing and worked her way up to NASCAR craftsmen truck series BEFORE Danica Patrick that only got there bc of her mouth skills not bc of her racing skills 🤷♀️. Google it. Kelly Sutton wreck at Kanas motor speedway
Bro the human body cannot possibly survive anything near 108Gs
@@danielmenker557 Right! Imagine how I felt watching it! The only way I even knew that was from the analytics afterwards. I have no reason to lie. Google it, Kelly Sutton Kanas wreck into wall
We love y’all and thank you for having this level of compassion.
The whole world feels the pain all you players must be going through. We love you all- plz stay safe.. prayers n thoughts go out to Hamil and his family, team mates and all in the football world.
I’m an eagles fan and my dads a bills fan we watch every game and when it happened I saw tears come to his eyes man. Praying everyday for damar #3
It’s been a very scary few days worrying about Hamlin’s health. I hope it doesn’t sound trivial but I really needed to hear your perspective about this situation and I deeply appreciate you both making this video for the NFL community and the fans. ❤️
Big hug to you guys, I can't imagine how this situation might look from the inside, I appreciate you all literally risking your lives every single game just for us to have fun, let's keep Damar in our thoughts and prayers, and he will be ok, hopefully able to return to the field soon
I have been struggling with this a lot. I can't watch or think about football right now. I just want to know he's making forward progress. I've been checking for updates two-three times a day. Pray for Hamlin 🙏❤️
Damn. You can't help but love these guys. You fellas kept it professional. Ready to hear from yall next week.
That was SO scary!! Prayers with Damar and his family!! I was in a panic about his mom and loved ones possibly being in NY, a huge sigh of relief when I heard his mom was there. As a mom I was in full panic mode for her.
Shout out to you two for stepping up and, like always, putting the human condition of NFL football into perspective.
Also, props to McDermott for having the stones to step up and say 'we shouldn't be here right now' and to Zac Taylor for having the empathy to go along with what the Bills needed at that point.
It is easy to do what you are told, it takes real testicular fortitude to stand up and put your player before an organization as massive as the NFL.
And shout out to the NFL decision makers who listened to the coaches in the arena and didn't try to force the completion of the game.
Jason you are an excellent communicator. Seriously thank you for your level headedness in all this and please keep using your voice for good
I absolutely love the Kelce Brothers. So classy and know how to keep it real. Thank you both for sharing your thoughts.
Much love and respect for what you and and said today. You’re both a class act, and it’s so apparent that you two put your hearts out there and aren’t afraid to show how you feel. Thank you. I e only ever seen this happen in hockey, and to see it happen in football shook me, just as it did the first time I saw it with hockey.
Such a rare occurrence that it’s scary. Prayers for him and his family
Man, Travis is really going thru it. I just want to give him a hug.
I didn't realize the impact and importance of sports to people until New Year's day and I was watching the pouring rain outside having a cup of hot chocolate and then seeing Austin Ekeler's second TD run and being warm & safe and out of the cold and seeing the Chargers finally perform to my expectations a sudden burst of joy hit me and I realized I was happy for the first time in a long time. Been a rough few years. So thank you players for what you go through just to give us some measure of entertainment and happiness.
I was watching when it happened. I was terrified to think what could have been and was praying the whole time for Damar and his family. Thanks for being so honest gentlemen about how you feel. You're heroes to me. Please stay healthy.
Such love between them. As an adult male I'm gonna break the norm here by saying it's not only adorable but also very beautiful
When I tore my ACL, whole stadium went silent. I cannot even begin to IMAGINE the environment during this terrifying time. Thoughts are still with Damar and his family. Love hearing this from your guys perspective. Love the show. Stay healthy and good luck this post-season fellas.
Thoughts and prayers for Damhar, family and the NFL. Travis and Jason thank you for your thoughts and know that you both are remarkable in sharing such a hard story.
Appreciate hearing your thoughts on the matter. This was the craziness thing I've ever seen watching football and I understand the brotherhood that the game gives all of you. My prayers go out to Hamlin and the entire NFL. As much as I love watching all of you play the last thing I want to see is someone get hurt in this way. Stay safe gentlemen
I know it’s not easy to come up with words to say or how to conduct a podcast. But hearing from these brothers perspective as players and family it shows us what it’s like being in the league. Good job fellas
We love you guys! Thanks for processing this with us. This has been heartbreaking for everyone who loves football, and has favorite players that we worry about and want to keep safe. You two are at the top of my list, and I wish you all the best as you work through this scary situation. Hoping for good news on DeMar before Saturday!
That look on special K's face man. Travis, I feel for you guys. And I have Prayed for Damar since it happened. We all will keep praying for him. It's not just football this happens in all our lives. It's not on TV though for everyone to see. None of us are promised tomorrow. Make things right for yourselves. Tell the people you Love. We all hear this often and this reminds us to practice it. God Bless you all and continued prayers for Damar Hamlin!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this horrible incident! Sendinglove to all of you football players, and families!
