Cool Location
How far is the run from lincoln boar ramp to thistle?
About 35 km
Hey mate, how has the YF been holding up over the years? Any problems? No cracks on the fuel tank mounts?,
Are you happy with its off shore capabilities?
Hey Mate, she is still here.. welds are good 👍 7M Southerner is in its element offshore, solid in the slop 🤙🤙
Only wish I went bigger for the bigger fuel tanks etc.. but then would affect the tow vehicle.
@@TabVentures yeah ok thats good mate, yeah long range is essential, Dont they have a 300 litre tank? Looking at upgrading my boat the Boss a 6m Yalta to a bigger plate boat for size and economy,
Looking at my options for around 100k for a 7m
@@robbymillsfishing5290 they do. 320 from memory. but but mine has the useless kill tank option so it’s 200L 👎 nothing old Jerry’s can’t fix though.
6M Yalta would do alright too yeah?.. although hard top cabin makes a huge difference.
@@TabVentures yeah my yalta has been an awesome boat, its got a stainless fram with aluminium sheet hard top now with clears, very capable boat but it dosnt like to be loaded up for big trips and it only has a 130l tank, im happy to lose a glass ride for bigger boat and better range,
Mate, came across your channel. So glad I did :)
I want to buy a yellowfin so good to see them out in action
Thanks man. Appreciate it 🤟
hey bro. they go pretty good hey.. have you tested one out?
@@TabVentures havent tested one out yet but just on the reviews and the price I like! Interest how hard they ride for family
@@FishinWishinLife been out in the rough stuff on my own and feel comfortable inside the hardtop. WIth the family, we can easily cruise and have them move around without any issues when underway. Thats 2 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs! haha
Can’t wait to drive that boat!! At least there’s no sand to get bogged in this time.
take one for a test ride man! you'll love it
Great video. Great boat. What’s the tow weight?
2.4T from memory. I’m looking at a different tow vehicle at the moment replacing the ranger so need to check the weights again soon.
@@TabVentures are you changing vehicles because the weight isn’t enough? Rangers are 3T from memory? Do you find it struggles at all? I just bought a 7000HT!
@@primeperspectives3629 Hey man, no happy with how the ranger has performed. the Rangers are 3.5T towing.. It is more than capable towing the 7000HT. More of a personal thing, i'm either going to upgrade the 2nd car or the Ranger just weing up the options.
Very cool indeed my friend 😎👌 It’s great to see things coming together a little better each time your out 👍 This weather has been shocking so far but at least you’re out there 🤙
And hell yeah 🤩 The seal footage was well cool 😎 That sea grass looked super healthy too 🤓
I literally lolled at that end bit 😂 Ya tripper 😂😂
Thanks a lot mate! That last bit is kind of what I think you do when you tell me your out on the boat on your own literally throwing caution to the wind report (pun intended) 🤪
@@TabVentures Hahahaha 😂 You’re spot on there 😁 I’ve found there’s a big chunk of fishable conditions between “It’s lookin a bit rough” and “That’s just dangerous” that a lot of folks just don’t go out in 😎 I’d rather be out there and a little uncomfortable than sitting at home on the couch 😎👌
@@micknoname6466 😂 I hear ya! Just need to drive to the conditions.. keep the throttle between “holy shit!” and “fuck that was close!” 🤣
@@TabVentures 😂🤣😂
G'day Jason, Sorry to see the fishing didn't go to plan but it is always difficult when going to new areas. I'm really interested in your boat and the performance of it. I'm currently in the market and have too many boats on the list at the moment. The 7600 Southern is one of those boats and am really interested in your thoughts.
Cheers Graeme
Hey Graeme, i have the 7000 Southerner. Have enjoyed it so far mate, its been 12 months and have done a number of inshore an mostly offshore trips. Very capabale in ordinary conditions. Have you taken one out for a water test yet?
@@TabVentures G'day Jason, Thanks for your reply. No I haven't taken any of my list out yet. That is the plan next week. I'm pretty sure there is a 7000 as a demo and i'll see what else is available to test. What speed were you sitting on when heading out? I'm wanting a boat with good deck space but also great handling in rougher conditions. Boats on the list are Yellowfin, Northbank, Cruisecraft, Stabi, Surtees, Haines Hunter, Bar Crusher and Extreme. All in Hard tops. Yes, I know its a big list but this will be my last boat, so I want to make sure it's right. Any suggestions would be welcome. Cheers Graeme
@@79cruiser Graeme, happy to chat if easier. Are you on FB at all? contact me there and i'll give you my number. facebook.com/TabVentures/
What downrigger are you using there mate? I have a Yellowfin 6500HT coming in a month or so and don't want to put anything permanent on it.
Hey man, that one was a Scotty 1050 depthmaster. Works ok. The clip that comes with I find is not as strong but that’s only a $3 part.
What did you pay sail away ?
hey man, check out my previous video when i bought it. 👍
I see some pandesal made this clip ;)
i think it was croissant bro.. however, i do prefer spanish bread! hehe
