My only issue with this is how it completely discards the bass, which is just as important to the overall harmony as either of the guitars. The song feels so hollow without the tapping parts in the main riff and the slap after the clean part

Sick :D Only great music with good melodies can be easily recognized in 8-bit. Relentless Mutation is heavy as fuck, still it's melodic and that's partially what makes is altogether a musical masterpiece
