- Entire Show. Thanks to bklockhart for the opening video of the interior of the Fox Theater. Thanks to Little Wing for the video of "On the Way Home" and the beginning of "Rock & Roll Woman". Thanks to BuffaloSpringgal for the video of "Sad Memory". Audio patches: Schoeps ccm4, aerco ... used with permission. I am missing the video for "Go and Say Goodbye" and most of "My Kind of Love", a still shot slide show was used with the audio for these songs. Note the ending non show video was from the LA show.
I wish Jim Messina would have been part of this, that would have been epic. He could have added to the vocals harmonies too.
Rock & Roll Woman was their follow up single to For What It's Worth and I never understood why it didn't become a huge hit. What a song!
Bluebird followed For What it's Worth. Then RnR Woman. Both were inexplicably Billboard flops.

I'll never understand why songs like "Questions" and "Four Days Gone" didn't garner more love from (alleged) Classic Rock Radio.
Don't trust the programmers!
Such a great song, wouldn't change a thing about it. I thought it was about Judy Collins (Steve's obsession) but it's about Grace Slick.
Fickle public is why.
I remember being a super Buffalo Springfield fan in high school SoCal.. Nothing like tripping out on LSD to Buffalo Springfield. I thought I was a 'cosmic cowboy' when there probably wasn't a cow ranch within a 100 miles.
But still w the lsd I bet you saw a few cows w big smiles on their faces
Buffalo Springfield: The first concert I ever attended in April of 1967 at all of 14 years old at the Westchester County Center in White Pains, New York (The Soul Survivors, The Pickle Brothers, The Strawberry Alarm ⏰️, The Buffalo Springfield and The Beach Boys-tickets were $8.50...)!!!😊
I saw that lineup in Boston! Yup, I was 14 years old!
I would have loved to see them do a complete tour. It would have been epic. They sound pretty good after so many years of not being together. It's a shame they did not complete the tour and done a proper concert video to document this reunion.. Thank you for posting this, it seems like the next best thing!
The word was that Neil decided to end the tour for no real reason and I guess Stills was pretty pissed about that.
@@deanguy66 Neil's ego works in semi-mysterious ways. Was really upset when he pulled the plug, but not the first time he left Stills in the lurch. He famously pulled the
same stunt with the Stills-Young Band tour in the mid-seventies when he left in the middle. Neil is my favorite musician of all time, but Neil always seems to do
what's best for Neil, no matter how it affects others.
@@jaykay6387 He's a genius and I guess that's just the way they are. Ha!
@@deanguy66he pulled the plug on this and then did a Crazy Horse tour.
Love it! Neil even dressed up in his fringe jacket! Perfect touch.

I saw BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD in a barn setting in Illinois in three mid 60's. Sitting on a bale of hay, NEIL, in all his fringe and muttonchops and sweat was just a few feet from me. Amazing
It's cool that Richie is the anchor standing between Stephen and Neil who take off with guitar solos while Richie holds down the vocals.
Furay especially showed total commitment to these shows.
Thanks! I had that album back in the day, but had truly forgotten that song. It is beautiful, haunting, sad - WOW. Richie is an under-rated treasure. His singing of Kind Woman at the Bridge concert made tears roll down my cheeks.
Ritchie is a great singer. I think people mention stills more often bc his guitar playing and neil, bc he is neil. Richie's voice makes many songs stand out w BS My favorites are sung by him

Saw them san jose civic, which Steven hated at length, but they were tight.
1966 maybe 1967...
Neil got so wound up playing Hung upside down, he and Richie were crazy bouncing-hitting the notes- it Rocked! I was stunned.
Buffalo Springfield, the band that completely turned around this old folk singer's idea about great music. Thanks guys for all the great music over the years!!!
Miracles do happen for the right reasons sometimes :-) Just great to see those 3 old friends up there knocking out some great old tunes :-)
This drummer is the unsung hero of this re-union tour. This guy is a &^%* rock.
Joe Vitale
on the way home and nowadays clancy can't even sing... neil written furay lead singing great songs...stills voice is great...i am a child- such a great young song...this rendition of broken arrow is fantastic..this song proved young would be one of the greatest songwriters of all time...
Thank you Thank you,"Kind Woman" is a tune that makes me relive my youth
Buffalo Springfield used to play in Hayward in 1966! At the roller rink with Moby grape!
its amazing how long some of us had to wait to see this reunion happen!! i'm 56 years old i first started getting into their music when i was 12 years old! if only the beatles had put aside their issues while they were all alive and given us some kind of reunion - thats what seeing this makes me think of!!
We may have gotten more from the beatles individually than had they stayed together
I was fortunate to see their first reunion performance at the 2010 Bridge School performance (Saturday) and I felt like I was transported back to the late 60's for a while. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen or heard. Will probably never be matched in my lifetime...
A peak concert experience (2 nights) for me and my older brother, who intro'd me to the band.
I only wish Neil had done this earlier when Bruce and Dewey were still alive. Neil waited too long. That said, 3/5ths of Buffalo Springfield is better than nothing.
@Sam Tenuto
Yep. Dewey Martin was the drummer and Bruce Palmer was the bassist.
Eh, the only ones that matter are the singers and songwriters and they're all there. Bruce Palmer wasn't even with then that often in the 1960s.
@@docsavage8640 says you, pal.
@@docsavage8640 Huh?
@tin pan alley 1619 Broadway Not underrated boomer.
Stills was in good shape.
You can really how happy Young was in this concert to play with the guys in this band . I think he really loved this band and brings back memories.
Thank you for this. Excellent.
Update? Is there a 50th anniversary reunion? I would fly anywhere for that.
You are my kind of person.
Update? 55th anniversary reunion?
Highly doubtful but so glad for the recorded memories. 66 year old super fan.
Reminds me when I lived in Boulder Creek Ca. Neil and Pegi lived down the road at broken arrow ranch in La Honda. Would see them now and then in their lincvolt at the local market. Nice people. Now they are divorced, (so am I) Neil remarried, Pegi passed away and I moved away
Spent lots of time and drove / rode many miles on Skyline, Hwy 9 & 17 during my 30yrs in the Bay Area. Neil's Broken Arrow Ranch was set pretty far back; you'd drive right by his access road if you didn't know exactly where it was. I'm sure he liked it that way when he bought it all those years ago. I sure miss the Santa Cruz Mountains...
@@Revolution1117same brother!
What an awesome live of Mr. Soul that was!
Sempre ótimos 🇧🇷❤☪️☮️
It’s 2020. It sucks. I’d pay $5000 to see these gentlemen play again before I exit this fracas. Abolsultely a fantastic assemblage of talent.
The way things are going it feels we could be "exiting this fracas" not too long from now-Sue
When I learned they clicked so well at the Bridge School Benefit and were going to do a West Coast tour, my late friend Eric got us tickets. I about $#!+ when he told me the cheap seats were $250/ea. In 50 years and hundreds of live concerts (most of them complimentary), I don't think I spent that much money in total. I saw them at The Wiltern Theatre in L.A. It was totally worth it just to see Neil smiling and everyone having a great time.
I was lucky. Caught both both Bridge School shows in 2010, then both Oakland and LA shows in 2011. Only missed out on the two Santa Barbara shows and Bonnaroo. Still have my T-shirt :). Great times.
Well, I’ll be damned. They still had it.
One of the greatest bands of all time!! So glad Neil had this idea, and Richie and Steve were "on board" with it!! You go guys!! If only Bruce and Dewey were still with us, they would have all been there! I still appreciate them all!
Awesome, thank you for posting this! Was so upset when Neil pulled the plug on a full blown tour, but that's Neil. BTW, the "Bluebird" jam sounded suspiciously like Crazy Horse, not that I'm complaining in the least! Amazing, what a show!
I was at the Sunday concert (rain and all) and I agree with you 100 %
It gives me chills just thinking about it.
Wow, what a concert. Every tune is a timeless classic.
Shame that Neil bailed on this, before it even had the chance to go off of the rails.
Neil following the muse… like he’s always done… eat a peach Stephen.
IMHO - This is better than any CSN or CSNY performance !!!
Ridiculous...
I suppose that's debatable, but I agree in principle that this group is better than CSNY. What might have been if they had managed to stay together. I much prefer their music over
what CSN and CSNY did.
On "Clancy", we see and hear Neil on an uber-rare occasion where he plays a Guild acoustic guitar. very cool.
Also, the awesome sounding Gretch hollowbody he plays on "Everybody's Wrong" sounds ready and willing to take on all comers.
Thanks for posting this! I was there and seeing this brings it all back! Such an awesome once in a lifetime experience!
Love the fact that there are no keyboards present. It's a pure guitar sound just like in the old days.
I got to see them at Bonnaroo the week after this. Unreal experience to see them back together. Rest in peace Rick the bass player Rosas
This is so good 😊
Sad Memory. It's off their 2nd album Buffalo Springfield Again.
still like to see HEAR the soundboard RECORDING not the audience echo .. 60's 60 years on still' sounds good
Nothing wrong about sounding like Neil Young !
Awesomeness, I loved to just jam free style like that with 100 watt Marshall or even a dimed deluxe reverb. Same results, awesome.
There is always some idiot at a convert yelling Wooo! in your ear
Thanks for making this available. Too bad this tour petered out so soon. Looks like I'll have to wait another 40 years to see these guys.
grumpy neil sacked the rest of the tour, a true democrat to the end hah neil /
well, in truth, he sounded the best, wrote the best springfield songs and was holding up the other two all night...
Actually, Richie sounded the best. He hasn't lost anything
The idea of a reunion was Neil's idea to begin with.
This is rarefied air.
I woulda chipped in my whole year's allowance to see one of these gigs. Superb...
Well, it wasn't a whole YEAR'S allowance, but tickets were 199.50. I went the first night at the Fox and it was so good, I almost went back the next night, but then I figured maybe I shouldn't be in such a hurry to spend another 200 dollars (also, I probably wouldn't have been able to get as good a seat the next night [it was all reserved seating], but who knows, maybe I would have gotten an even better seat!) Rock And Roll Woman and Clancy were the highlights of the night.
@@igrowhigher price of tickets definitely gone up a tad
@@lastnamefirst4035 Ya think?!
But Neil Young had already played at Fox Theater previously completely solo (no other musicians) and sold out the venue, so this was actually a bargain compared to that -- Neil Young PLUS Joe Vitale, Stephen Stills, Rick Rosas, and Richie Furay.
I wouldn't pay $200 to see solo Neil, but obviously plenty of folks did. But yeah, it's a bit steep. I guess it takes a lot of money to motivate Neil to get out of the house and step on stage.
@@igrowhigher even $200 wouldnt be bad
@@igrowhigher I was there I don’t remember paying that much I’ll check if I have the stub
a night I’d love to return to
The core 3 - Richie, Stephen and Neil. Gold.
Good steady band. Stills and Young backing up Richie Furay in the first number. Would have been a good spectacle live I would say.
LOVE IT !!!!
The 3 coolest guys ever !
Well worth the effort boys. :-) A moment caught for all time :-) Sends a body back ;-)
Kind Squirrel, Blue Squirrel and Broken Squirrel.
Richie ... magnificent
This show only serves to prove that a tour is needed. How about going out with the Beachboys like in '67?
Nothing compared to the old days.
Messina would have completed it
Kind Woman was incredible as were Mr. Soul and Nowadays Clancy. One thing I was really glad to hear was the faithfulness to the songs - vocals and guitars. Sometimes artists change things because they can and it sucks. Didn't care for Bluebird and For What's It's Worth. This was a great show. They had fun, we did, too.
Sharap fuckin' laughman, Let me hear the amazing concert
Great concert and video.
Not even remotely good audio

No wonder why the Byrds feared them. Much better live band.
ahh,.. la mia gioventù! ... restano dei grandi!!
Talk about major historic and, better yet, outstanding performance!
Thx for the great music . Love the live version...have a good 2022...GB...
It was a cool show. Now its to unsafe to go near anything in Oakland. I cant believe it was 13 years ago I went. The sad part is I grew up in Oakland. It used to be a fabulous place to live, work, party, raise a family,go to school and use as a home base. We were minutes from S.F. in the 80s. A few hours from Tahoe, Monterey, Yosemite, the Sierras to hike. Rent beautiful cabins and head up to Tahoe for the week. People would come and go. Traffic was nothing back then. Great clubs, beautiful women with fluffy hair! No tattoos!:
Now everything is a shithole..We did have some rockin' good times.
…THIS IS NOT BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD !
It was the closest we were gonna get at the time…
…that’s not good enough from a bunch of old multi-millionaires…where was Jim Messina ? This reminds me of the “Grand Funk” videos or the “Steely Dan” videos with only Donald Fagen or no Mark Farner…greedy American musicians that don’t give a damn about their audience or reputation or work, only with making a quick buck…that’s BS…
Ah yes, despite featuring all 3 original guitarist-frontmen, this isn’t the “real” band because they’re missing a guy who played on ~4 songs from their last album
Thanks for posting this. It brings back memories...
LOTS OF FUN
Whew!! You Reek....
We all do
Awesome!
