I flew on the F50 from 1995 to 2011. Great aircraft. I flew on them with Skywest Airlines. As a passenger - one of the best turboprop aircraft I've flown on. Good range, pretty good fuel efficiency......can go a long way. A tough aircraft, built to last. Can do 90,000 cylces. Reasonable cruise speed too. Just a really good aircraft and does a good job. Not a lot of them around throughout the world...maybe roughly 80 to 100 of them in operation. There are none here at all in Australia.....Alliance Airlines retired them in July/August 2022.
Nice video. I thought Bromma had been close for many years, but it is still operational as I could see. I flew with the Fokker 50's predecessor the Fokker F27, with the large oval windows. Back than, in the 1980's KLM's daughter NLM cityhopper flew from Maastricht to Amsterdam, 40 min flight with the F27.
Very very nice fly , yes I had flew many years ago with friendship...newly my son as first officer of Fokker 50 employed at karun airline in Ahwaz at Iran. I am very happy.
Beautiful aircraft, growing up in Western Australia, these Dutch birds were the pride of the skies with Skywest, before Virgin took over, retired the entire F-50 fleet and sold the whole lot. Was a darn shame too because they are still reliable planes even though they are well over 30 years old, if I was wealthy I'd definitely buy one. Its a pity also that Fokker only made 213 of these planes before going bankrupt in 1996. This plane is the ultimate supreme of the twin turbo props.
This company was originally a mail carrier but started passenger service and soon after this video was mad they changed name and started rebranding their planes. I have a video of the very first rebranded planes. Populair. Amapola gets new name and new livery for passenger flights ARN 2023-08-17 th-cam.com/video/FnavBuSs3is/w-d-xo.html
Fokker-50, The one aircraft i'm absolutely could hop on, flip the switches and be in the air within less than 10 minutes, Never heard a bad word about it, well other than that even for a propliner it's rather slow... who cares.

lovely video! thanks for sharing it, I'm hoping to fly the Fokker 50 myself before they're gone, and this was a great help 😃
You’re welcome

Great trip report! I also flew with the Fokker 50 (Flight Report on my channel) from Stockholm ARN to Mariehamn and back in October. Keep it up! :)
