I did changed my fan laptop with the oem one.
And then it goes fine. But when laptop turned on, it always the fan goes on and off constanly, its like 3 seconds on, 0.5 second off, and on again 3 seconds, and of again 0.5, repeatedly

Regarding your question, have you replace the thermal paste and if so i hope you used a good brand paste, also when the fan are defective they do act like that we do get defective fan a lot when we order.

Yes you can place any size HDD or SSD, i would recommend SSD as it will give a much better result on performance.

Basically the replacement part is the whole upper Case, where the track pad is, power button and that metal sheet to hold the keyboard

Can I use Caddy to fit an SSD , in place of dvd drive. in this laptop and load windows in that?

Regarding your question, yes you can use it for storage but not booting from it, we had few tries and 2 models did detect the drive for boot but 7 others didn't, so it depends on your bios, update the bios and try it out. but for sure you can use it for storage, also i wouldn't recommend for windows and it is a slower sata connection.

remove both rams and install one ram only and power on and once you get image then power off and place the 2nd ram, this is normal . you can't kills the motherboard.
I dissamble this laptop cq43, for change cmos. And i pretty sure this brand no cmos becs i cant find it. If have u can share it. After i resamble i turn on, boot show up, win 7 show up. But blank during desktop. I pluq external moniter but sill no display. Hope u can share how to fix it.
Plus I go to bios , can't hold 1 minute screen turn to blank, still have light becs when I unplug will turn really no power. Becs during blank screen at keyboard still have power (WiFi key have led)

Under what circumstances should one replace the CMOS battery. My laoptop is more than 10years old....

regarding your question: replacing the CMOS battery is not important, BUT if you get annoying msg when turning on the laptop saying " the date and time are reset and bios defaults....." then you will need to replace the battery and set the date and time and thats all, the bios battery is there to keep the bios configuration saved, if the external battery is removed / lost then the motherboard will drain the CMOS battery quickly. to know if you cmos battery must/should be replace or better words would be if you want to know if you CMOS battery is dead, simply power off the laptop and remove the external battery, and press and hold the power on for 5sec, then place the external battery and connect the charger and turn on the laptop and quickly keep tapping on the ESC key till you get the menu and then go to bios setup i believe F10, then if your date and time are not reset to manufacture date then, you CMOS battery still ok, else if the date and time is way off and time 0000 then it means the bios battery is dead, and if you WISH to change it you can else DON'T.

Thank you very much, I disassembled the laptop after watching your video, then assembled it, but after that the screen is blanked, the window install appears at the beginning but flickers immediately. How to fix it ?
thank you for the feedback, and i appreciate your support to the channel, and regarding your issue its your LCD flex cable that is no making a good contact with motherboard, remove the flex contact and clean it nicely with alcohol iso and tooth brush, and try it out.

What problems happen to the laptop .
Why power is showing on but display is looking blank not any show. Can you solve this problem . It is same model of Compaq Cq43.

regarding your question: SURE this is very common issue with this models and dv 6000, i made a video on how to fix this issue on a different hp check the video and the same thing applies to this,
in this video @8:10 you will see there are two chip one the cpu that we repaste under heatsink and the other on top corver beside the bios battery, ( imgur.com/a/RHYGsVG )
you need to remove the bios battery and reflow that chip beside it as i did in the next video.:

its the same exact process follow the heating process exactly.
and let it cool down by it self and not move it till its cooled.
also replace the thermal pad on a small heatsink is pointed by my finger:

Last week I already reinstalled win7 on my laptop. I deleted all programs and leaving only google chrome. Cos that's the only one I need.
My questions is...
1. Why the internet in my laptop feels like really slow?
I opened a lot of tab on my chrome indeed. And that's how I work.
2. If the processor isn't upgradeable. What is the first thing to upgrade in my case.
SSD first or RAM?
I just want my laptop can open a lot of tab in chrome. And every tab is open right away.
How to do that?

and if you going to open a lot of tabs then you will need minimum 8gb ram 2x 4b

I need to know what you mean by 'not turning on.' Do you mean that no lights turn on when you press the power button, or does the power LED turn on and off repeatedly? Please provide more details.
@@uFixTek No lights are turning on even after pressing the power button. I’m pretty much sure that I have fitted the power on/off cable back but maybe it is loose!? Is there any way to properly put it back tightly if it’s loose?
Edit-Looks like it is turning on but hard disk is not detected even tried both ssd and hdd but is not detecting. System boots through usb tough.
ah ok the then double check the HDD cable connector, and if its not working after then go to BIOS and change the boot mode to UEFI or if its set to uefi change it to legacy.
to go to bios power on and quickly tap on esc key then once you got the menu go F10
@@uFixTek There is no uefi/ legacy option in the bios settings.
then you may have a damaged HDD flex cable :( if you can boot to usb, its not your motherboard. can you try booting to windows 10 usb ( make sure the usb is burned as MBR (legacy) and see if you can detect the hdd in the windows installation steps

Hey dude, i have a problem with this laptop, firstly my laptop always overheat if i was using it, so i decided to clean the fan, but after cleaning the fan when i turn on the laptop, the laptop just shutdown automaticly and when i turn it on again it shows overheat warning. I already consult to a repair shop but that doesn't help. It's better, but it still do the auto shutdown thing. Can u help me?

@@uFixTek I have used your video as a tutorial to open the CQ43 case. Currently my compaq cq43 uses 8GB RAM from Crucial, 256gb SSD from Samsung 870 EVO, 500gb HDD from Samsung too, upgraded my processor to i5 and the fan is not noisy. Thanks, regards from Indonesia.....auto like and subs :)

Regarding your question, brother your issue is 90% your hard drive is having a bad sectors and that is not repairable, you will need to replace the hard drive and install new windows, i recommend you to get ssd

hello i'm trying to fix my dad's old cq43 like this one. I cleaned all the parts and put everything back in order but it would turn on for 5 seconds then the fans go louder but it doesn't boot up to the windows logo. If you could help me with this, it would be so much appreciated. Thank you
you didn't put the thermal paste nicly, re do the thermal paste and make sure you use a better quality thermal paste, the reason for the shut down is that you have no thermal paste or using the same old paste or you didnt apply correctly the thermal paste and when the cpu goes ove 99c it will shutdown for its safety protection. redo the paste

when CPu and north bridge is failing you need to isolate both chips and do a re-flow on both chip.
this two chip that are in the picture , if you have 3rd chip with crystal dye it has to be reflow too.

YES IT DOES, but its occupied by wifi board. you can buy a usb wifi and use the m.2 slot , but the space is not enough to place a ssd m.2 there. some modifications may require.
