Doctor, two questions: 1) in clinical situations, if there no risk of complication when the second premolar contacts the miniscrew during distalization procedure? 2) if the miniscrew (and line of force) are below the purported center of resistance (low buccal frenum etc.) of upper arch, incisal plane canting may occur. What can be done to reduce this side effect?
1) there is risk if TAD is closer to 2nd premolar rather than 1st molar. That's why IZC miniscrew is better placement 2) canting of incisal plane would occur if miniscrew on other side is on different hight. When you change the hight of miniscrew or hook your rather change overbite during ditalization
Thanks for such wonderful videos❤ One question will we add force required for every tooths bodily movement for distalization in this case.? Or 200mg would be enough?
Sorry, now I got your question. The answer is the same - yes, 200 g is enough even for the entire distalization of upper arch. It may seems strange that we can use this same magnitude for different purposes, but it's true. Literature has shown that around 200gm is enough even for distalization of the entire amndibular dentition - Roberts WE, Viecilli RF, Chang C, Katona TR, Paydar NH. Biology of biomechanics: Finite element analysis of a statically determinate system to rotate the occlusal plane for correction of a skeletal Class III open-bite malocclusion. Am J Orthod Dentofacial Orthop. 2015 Dec;148(6):943-55.
If the 3rd molar is erupted (an out of occlusion, of course), It's better to extract it. If it's impacted, some surgeons prefer to keep it impacted. Depending on its position, it will never cause any problem.
@@essentialbiomechanics9381 What company? Is there a serial number or part number? We’ve been wanting to get these for a while now, but can’t find them anywhere.
I just got mines 5 minutes ago and I am wondering if it went through my bones or what ? Plz answer I am actually worried I would have 2 holes in my gummy 😢
I know a little bit late but yes It is about half way trough your Bone but no worries! After removing this Screw it will be growing again. But i think yours are already out after the year
@@poppypeppa0186 yeah. Haha true! Its been a long time. I had to read what i wrote twice 😂. I did remove my braces 7 months ago. Had them for 2 years and a half. I now have a “bump” where the screws were but i dont mind them
Se puede hacer esa retracción asi defrente sobre el miniimplante? No se tendría q primero distalizar esa primera y segunda molar y luego ya retraer el sector anterior? Alguien colega ortodoncista q opine al respecto con base xfavor.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@London Zeke I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

Wait so do they staple or glue part of the spring connecting to the molar. This is crazy I’ve never seen this before wow

200 g is enough for retraction of the anterior group of teeth
Aren't we retracting the whole arch as we are applying force on the wire. . How much force would be enough for the arch Sir. 200?

Screw will impair the movement ,so infrazygomatic screw is advisable
Yes Dr! The video was made before the development of extraoral screws. Today they are good alternatives for upper arch distalizations.
@@essentialbiomechanics9381IZC screw is not extraoral btw
Thank you dr for ur kind guidance...👍👍
How long does it actually takes in real dentition for the distilization of the molars... Mine is almost the same situation
It depends on the degree of the Class II. Normally, the movement rate is 0.5 to 1mm/ month.
Can TADs and Miniscrew be used to force the upper incisors upwards for the treatment of deepbite and gummy smiles also?
Andrew Thiyam yes, for sure you can use TADs for this purpose. ; )
Where do you order the hooks?
Dental stores, mainly those that sell orthodontic devices.

Name of the simulator please ?
Interdental miniscrw will stop the movement of the teeth distally
Only if a great amount of movement is needed. In the present case, the Class II is so mild that this will not be a problem.
What is the name of the gauge used to measure the force of the spring?
Correx tension gauge
I think sold by Dentaurum Germnay it’s Swiss made
Corex
I want to learn miniscrews so bad!!!
Just a suggestion: it would be easier to tie the spring on the hook first and on the tad after.

How long does it takes this screw?
Vijesh Jadoun Im not sure I understood your question. If you mean how much time the screw is stable, normally it stays there during all treatment.

It is Ok.. But should have stop on wire flash to mesial upper first molar.
Yes you're correct.
We call it locking the arch
Great
