Looks lovely. My heart was in my mouth when I saw your husband using that mandolin. They're great gadgets but lethal to your fingers lol. We don't tend to have been as a sandwich meat, its usually ham and cheese or chicken. I'd have had that beef as a Roast dinner, thick slice, covered in gravy with roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings and Veg. Its a British thing. Thank you for sharing Ashley xxx
I always get super nervous when anyone other than myself is using the mandoline. i had to walk away! When you prepare the roast that way Dee, with gravy, potatoes, etc. do cook it to medium, or some other temperature?
I like my roast beef medium, my husband likes his medium to well done, so I usually give him the ends of the beef and I have the centre lol

Oh my, I just bought and froze that same cut of roast, because I have been so hungry for a good roast sliced real thin. The small shaved roast pieces would be great on a salad too.
