I wheel with all and have insight thanks to that. Land Rover, Toyota, and Jeep have incredible traction control systems. I get you are trying to get some traction for your channel with that type of title, but I don’t see why Jeep owners will care. Jeep has an excellent offroad traction control system. For example, I had to buy a 20 year old Jeep because my JL’s offroad traction control almost made every trail too easy (exceptions Holy Cross & Mount Blanca). It’s a shame that Toyota didn’t give the LC Prado more stock ground clearance… I love the way it looks!
Completely agree with your comment on ground clearance. 8.7 inches is very low for a serious off roader (for example, standard Wrangler Rubicon w/33" tires 10.8", LR Defender 11.5", Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 10.9", Bronco (Sasquatch) 11.5"). In the end, it really isn't a serious off roader without a lift.
Another advantage of the eKDSS in the new GX is it is implemented on both front and rear whereas the sway bar disconnect is only on the front. Granted, the solid rear axle doesn't need as much help for articulation, but eKDSS "disconnecting" the rear does help some vs. the rear sway bar on the LC 250 that is always connected.
You are 100% correct I wanted to see how much better RTI was with the feature when Dan Edmunds did his RTI test the Land Cruiser did better. It was negligible but it did get higher… go figure 🤷🏻♂️
Ground clearance is the one thing that I believe the LC really stumbled on. There is no way it can compete with Broncos, Wranglers, Defenders, and 4Runners (but 4Runner is also only moderately better) without a lift for rocky terrain. Maybe that was intentional but it seems odd.
I’m torn. The thing I need to know is will the power plant stand the test of time, for one I keep my 4x4’s for a long long time and two, I don’t pussy foot around. I run them hard.
@@meadmaker4525 LOL, yeah I guess. I would have watched anyway. I enjoy content and learning about all the new stuff. I keep waiting for someone to actually have real competition for the Wrangler.
@ - I know what you mean. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone will ever really take Wrangler head on. Even the latest FJ Cruiser, which was great, had IFS and couldn't really match Wrangler, though people certainly tried. The Grenadier kind of comes the closest, but it's way too expensive for what it is and has its own issues.
@@meadmaker4525 The Grenadier has solid axles but it doesnt have much wheel travel and its kind of a pig. I dont think it matches up the a Jeep. Especially a Rubicon with the xtreme recon package.
@ - I completely agree, but Grenadier is probably the closest vehicle out there for comparison head-to-head with Wrangler. If you made the same mods to the Grenadier that the Rubicon/Xtreme Recon has, it would be interesting to see them hit the same trail. In the end, though, like you said, Grenadier doesn't have the articulation of the Jeep and would likely suffer from that deficiency on harder terrain.

the constant scrolling of dash alerts are ridiculous... we know in 4lo, things are disabled, do we need a new reminder every 5 seconds? NO!

Glad to see you out using it!! 😎

The land cruiser did great very good video
So many times I’ve been thankful for a 3” lift on my 4Runner.
I have a bumper because it's way cheaper to hit a deer with a bumper than to buy a new truck.
2025 land cruiser looks so good going off road. I think Toyota land cruiser great off road suv
Your best LC video yet! I can't wait to throw some ATs on mine, I am going to go with 275/70/18 in general grabbers.
I really like the pizza cutters
This thing makes that trail look incredibly easy, looks really smooth too
Great video Ben
Wow this was a cool video. Ben that was a tuff corse. It did good. Why is it so jerky in that one section? Great review this is why I subscribe!
Couldn’t get traction

This is good LC 250 content.
Waiting on the truth Jeep owners can't handle....
Clickbait title...and it worked.

Steel bumpers are good for the mad max package . 🤨🤔💪🏽😎
You once were a Jeep owner, the land cruiser is closer to the bronco., because of the IFS. You gave your bronco away before your 392.
When that thing gets stuck give me a call😂
Your Ram wouldn’t run long enough to get to where this thing can go.
@MrCherrygrovedude probably not
The 200 series absolutely does not articulate better than this.
Love the new Land Cruisers, I'd buy another one if I could.
Ben, the tires are 255/80/R17, or? The ultimate tire size!
That’s the size
Good old Light Duty Land Cruiser platform
I have an V8 LC. Jeep has a V6. New LC has I4 Turbo crap. Checkmate.
You're too isolated from the cold outside conditions, you need to be riding in an open cab jeep.
The Grenadier has no traction control system? 3:10. I did not know that.
It does, it just isn’t super advanced
Its supremely crappy. It NEEDS those lockers.
Ben...the truth is ALL VEHICLES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE.....🤷♂️
couldn't agree more. only rich fucks are going out spending 50-60k on a truck they plan to take to the trails.
Um, snow is EXACTLY between wet and icy.
This is the color to get I think. That’s underground, right?
Meteor shower with satin PPF
my 1958 LC is a better Off-Roader than I am!! lol
Why? Why do this with a $100K+ vehicle? Use a '74 Ford Bronco instead.
Cause hes not poor.
Cool video, but i`m afraid to ride like this
I thought you were getting rid of it?
Not quite yet
NEW TOYOTA LANDCRUISER ❤️🔥👍
It sounds horrible TBH (like a tiny tinny diesel)
Broncos are better
Hmmmm
Jeep owners are laughing and saying, 'hold my beer'. 🤣
seriously, that thing is a piece of junk....just junk...esp. compared to what Toyota used to produce...
Garbage....
