I like Kyle’s tip of looking for other structure along the bluff like rocks that have fluffed off. Seems obvious but I really never considered that before. Another great video!
It is an overlooked thought for sure! Thanks for sharing!
Randy has endless knowledge of the bass fishing concepts. I listen each time Randy speaks his opinions which all makes complete sense! Cannot wait for his next daily video! I need to take these tips and implement them into my channel!
Thanks for sharing! Randy does have some knowledge for sure!
Great tips about the use of lighter line and gear and how to fish the jerk bait for winter fishing.
I will try several of these tips when I go out next week after this cold front passes 😉
Good luck!
This is cool how there are so many approaches. Thanks for more sharing a variety of tools to catch more.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video!
I personally liked Kyle's tip as well! I've never tried it ,but will try it next time I'm out on the water! Looking forward for the next one! Thanks guys!
It was a good one! Thank you for watching
Excellent! Best fishing channel on TH-cam.
Thanks Keith!
Man Randy, I've been fishing the X-Nanahans since they came out but I just ordered a mess of +2's. The bass were hammering em over the brush on the bluff walls today and at evening I caught a dinner worth of 2 lb crappie on that +2 Nanahan Kasumi Ito. Man tonight was fun. The walleye have been liking those Nanahans as well. I've caught 6 walleye over 7 lbs this last week and a mess of smaller ones. This is on Bull Shoals.
*edit...one thing I do with the Damiki when it's in front of them and they won't bite is lightly tap my rod with my off hand to get the tail to quiver without putting action in the whole bait. It seems to click em on when other techniques won't at times. Tight lines y'all!
Thanks for sharing!
Great! I also use medium size slow sinking glide baits from now till pre spawn
Love the info. it's always good to hear about different methods of fishing. Thank you soooo much for your insight and time.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
If you have water with bluffs and bait, makes sense to give all these a try. Very little overlap. Good video men.
All great tips, I really like Kyle's swimbait tip.
Great!
I generally fish bluff wals with a drop shot. I like the swim bait and crankbait ideas. I definitely want to try it.
Great! Good luck!
Those are some really great tips, fellas! I look forward to trying them out!
Great!
You guys are the best thanks very much for the tips.
Thank you for watching!
Very good information and tips on your video thanks and good fishing 🎣
Thank you! Good fishing as well!
Thanks for sharing!
I fish a lake in south central Pennsylvania that's all bluff banks in it's entirety. It is tough to figure out where the fish are with so much of the same type of structure.
Great content. Just subscribed. Love mixing it up with the a rig.
Thanks!
Great video. I agree listening to others is a great way to lean new tricks. Have you tried dropping a Scope Spin along the walls and bridges?
Jonny has been using the scope spin. He wants to get multiple trips / experiences with it before he goes into depth on the lure. Thanks for watching!
Could use help on 1. How to know from my electronics (not have FFS) what is and what isn't a good bluff to fish today? 2. How to relatively quickly make the decision to stay or leave a bluff? Can waste a lot of time mixing it up and blank. Any follow up would be good. Great job though!
The size/location of the bluff and the presence of forage is to consider first. Is the bluff a point or a channel swing? How long is it if it is a channel swing? If baitfish are presence then bass will be nearby. If there is not baitfish then there still can be crawfish or other types of forage.
On deciding to stay or leave some of the factors above can help to determine that. If you find the baitfish with your down scan/2D sonar then good chance bass are nearby. If you do not see baitfish then it is ok to make 3-5 cast then leave and move on
You can waste time fishing long sections of channel swing bluffs for sure! Good luck. Hope this helps!
Have quite a lot of bluff walls on the lakes I fish, but never really targeted them. Have to give them a go using these techniques. What weight fluorocarbon for a A-Rig? As always, great info!
This may depend on structure around your bluffs. A lot of anglers will go 20-25 LB since the rigs can be expensive with all that is on it. Some anglers will go to 18 LB if they are throwing smaller swim-baits and in clear water with no timber/ brush present.
👍👍👍👍👍
Ad a Florida guy we are spawning down here. Any chance we could get a little perspective? I assume I have fish in all 3 phases pre, post and spawning. Thanks for the great stuff guys.
We are going to have a few of our pros down in Florida soon for their tournaments. Get ready for some bonus Florida content!
Awesome thanks guys!!
Would this work if my lake doesn't have bluff wall but like a Rip Rap rock structure that impound it?
Rip rap can be a little different then the bluff walls. One little tip on the rip rap you can look to target where the rock meets the land. That transition area is a spot that a lot of anglers miss.
Goodluck!
Not an easy target on my lake. They don’t exist.
If you ever get on a lake with this structure hopefully you can use the tips! Thanks for watching!
