Wow -I remember this it was kind of the OJ Simpson Trial back in the day. I was only 13 and the only thing that took it off the front page and evening news was the Kennedy assassination.
Great Documentary and I love the Mick Stanhope song.

On the Braxton Bragg Group page Barry Duncan commented " I have a 45RPM record of The Ballad of T Eugene. Original recording on the Danger label.---I did a web search online and found out it was featured in Billboard in 1966 "Ex-convict Jim Adams, whose sole release ("Ballad of T. Eugene") on his own label (Danger) is shocking the Twin Cities but selling well, has netted enough for a trip to Europe. The song talks bluntly about the famous T. Eugene T. Thompson murder case. [Billboard, 5 March 1966)" Here's a link where everyone can hear it. It's The second song on the page.musicmasteroldies.com/2013/11/

Thompson was released from prison in the 90's. He was living in a townhouse in Roseville. Don't know if he's still alive.

My mother was friends with him when he was in prison and then when he got released. I’ve know him since I was a kid. Came to family functions all the time. Ive tried to talk to her about what happened but she says he was innocent and that’s all I need to know. He passed away 2011.
