It's about scoring system, if Kickboxing Tenshin win or if Muaythai Rodtang win.

These 2 athletes really bring out the best in each other. So rare we see either rodtang or Tenshin get pushed to this level and have to hit this gear. Both perfect representatives of their sports too

that's what happening in Japan, you don't knock out or disable your Japanese opponent you lose, sometimes even if you score knockdowns... Japan is notorious for Hometown Decisions

For sure, it happens all over the world too though, Japan just puts on a lot of big fights. It's a shame, but this definitely isn't the worst decision I've seen.
