  • I hope this kitty does well.
This is a very sensitive topic, and I've answered this question from
the questions point of view, that everyone involved potentially wants to continue the relationship. I understand that not everybody would, and other opinions are valid.
Do not watch this video and alter your cat's treatment based on the information within it - these issues are highly individualized. Talk to your vet!
These videos are designed to share perspective, that may or may not be applicable to you.
    Dr. Kris

Such a shame you don't make these videos anymore, I love their genuinity and your humbleness. You are a beautiful veterinarian and a professional. And, I repeat, you helped me calm about the prednisone, thank you for making this and thanks to algorithms I found it.

What a lovely and thoughtful response! I particularly appreciate your bringing the info out about suicide in veterinarians. I knew of this and have made a real effort to ASK how my vets REALLY are, praise them, and let them know how important they are to me.

I'm a vet and I made a huge mistake with my own pet. He passed away and learned from it . Its heart breaking.

Thank you Dr Kris. My senior kitty is going through her last stage of life on supportive care now. The past year has been filled with vet visits, medications, in-home fluid care and I can’t remember how many times I have doubted myself or even the vet sometimes with the information overflow... In the end, it’s all about caring the kitty and caring each other. Finding a vet who really cares is a blessing ❤️

Thank you Kris for bringing up the sensitive issue of Vet care suicides. It's very sad that the rates are so high, but I understand the pressures you guys go through. Mistakes do happen in animals and in humans. As a medicine specialist you can't know everything!
As the old saying goes "It takes a village" so true in our pets welfare as well.
Keep up the great work you do.

You are such a nice sensitive person. You are a personable person. You're so right. We all make mistakes, but it's rare anymore that we forgive one another for the mistakes. God bless you sir.

Love your vids. The potential deal-breaker for me though would be he made repeated mistakes, not just one. My pet would trump good relations w vet.

Same thing happened to me except with overdose of insulin, ended up in the Emergency Hospital., .......this is her 3rd Get NON of the Vets are intelligent enough to know better, unless we CONTINUE going back and forth when i should be the one monitoring her blood by now,, i purchased the glucose blood tester but she is upset and aggressive about all that's been happening and need to start learning to monitor her soon. Bought the cool number too.
