I’ve had mine for two seasons now, love it. On my last camping trip it poured rain one night and we stayed perfectly dry. Being off the ground made all the difference. Basically all you need is a level spot to park your truck, and your campsite is perfect.
I watched a lot of these reviews and this one is my favorite. The high speed video with the narration kind of reminds me of the Red Green show. But it’s very informative and honest and I appreciated that.
I have this tent for my Chevy Avalanche LTZ and I love being able to drop the back seat and open it all up lay on the inflatable mattress and watch a movie or play Dr. Mario against my wife on the 7" drop down monitor.
I've ready broken the long grey pole in the front and my poles keep coming apart installing and taking apart. And on a windy day you can forget all about it.
Nothing said about tent floor. Apparently there is a floor with the tent. I have a tool box and think that the floor would not be a problem, but maybe it would?
Hi Michael, the floor is soft and will go around a small toolbox. If the toolbox is too big, then it might impede with the placement of the mattress. However, I think most people could make it work. thanks for the comment, Martin
The backroads tent is a little easier to set up and it’s cheaper but doesn’t have as much window ventilation. The sport tent takes slightly longer to set up but has more features, costs a bit more and has the awning. Then you can buy a tent extension too. Me personally I think I’m going with the sports tent it seems like a better investment for the future! Although I’ve seen people winter camp with the backroads tent and it is a extremely reliable tent
Good video! Just left the Nissan dealer and they had one on a new Frontier. Looks sweet. Do you think it could be assembled on the ground easier then placed in the truck? Does the mattress come with it? How much is that tent?
the mattress is a separate purchase from the tent itself at Best Buy in Canada. I'm not sure if other retailers are doing the same thing. I assembled it right on the truck. It was quite easy and I think you'd have a hard time getting it into the truck if you assembled it on the ground first.

I'd honestly like to see the option to open that window at the rear of the truck cab so you can store and easy access the back seats of the cab

What keeps the rain from pooling up at the head of the truck bed? It looks like there's a little gap between the truck bed and the tent.
Really like tent look so good although see some say poles are too long. It look like you have no problems.
Does the front fit over a rolled up tonneau cover is what I’d like to know …😊
Thanks for posting. I like the fact that it has a full liner inside the bed. Wonder how well it holds up after use.

Great video

What do you do if you have to go somewhere?
Ummm... I would simply unstrap, then set it on the ground. 😏
@@jeffalo6680 I set mine on the ground and put cooler or chairs on it to hold it there. Had my Napier f/or 14 years and only had a pole break.
whats the difference between the sport tent and the backroadz tent ?

8:52 the tent isn’t installed on the truck correctly

Hey Napier, I have a Chevy Colorado if you want to send me a tent and mattress to try out.
You should set it up on the ground and lift it into the truck
Cool..
