For one thing, I'm proud of Nelson, he didn't give into peer pressure and shown those pathetic jocks and mean girls that the nerds in high school are cool as adults.
"Dude, not letting these guys peer pressuring you into making these bad decisions." "Smoking isn't cool, drinking isn't cool, doing drugs isn't cool."
Calvin should've listen to Nelson, he could've been a cool adult alongside him instead of listening to those four deadbeat losers who never aim for anything in life. By definition, high school jocks and popular mean girls who calls nerds, kind and caring people losers or dorks, are the real losers as adults. So no, I don't hate Calvin, I just pity the man who give in to peer pressure. He abandoned Nelson his only true friend for four popular but backstabbing ones when the police came, one of the jocks gave him all the drugs to take the fall.
That's why people with dreams, with goals and with differences should never pretend to be someone they're not and be proud of who they are. I'm autistic but I'm proud of it.

You can be successful without going to college while drinking occasionally. As far as not going to school, you just limit your options. Hard but not impossible. That's about it.
I have seen plenty of people graduate and they still don't have a career. It really goes both ways. What really matters is having goals and maintaining self discipline. Be responsible for the choices you make in life.

I was a little bit peer pressured at school to drink, but I decided not to drink. Now I am 24 and I still don’t drink as I have decided. I was bullied but I thought that people who judge are just stupid. Self-esteem is really important when you are bullied and peer pressured. If self-esteem is ok nobody can really harm your personality)

I decided to never drink when I was in my teens. 21 and never had a sip, other than that one time I thought that one of the beers left out was a soda but turned out they were all beers, trust me I was a little kid then and wasn't familiar with alcohol yet, and never had another drink of alcohol since. But the main reason I decided against it was because my father use to be an arrogant, bossy, cantankerous jerk who takes pleasure in bossing others around and treat them, including me and my family, as nothing more than his underlings. He started going to AA meetings but... I'm still traumatized and enraged by that drunk side of his that I decided to not drink any alcohol

People call Dhar Mann Cringe, but he's not lying when he says he's changing lives. This is a VERY valuable lesson to be teaching kids and teens. Sure, making friends in high school is great, but being popular or being perceived as "cool" doesn't matter. It's sad the world has made kids think they have to be popular in school because the truth is people start to base their social status off of popularity, so when they graduate high school it's ALL gone. Young people reading this who haven't graduated yet, don't gain popularity and never sink into peer pressure just to be cool. Focus on school, Don't do drugs, and only make friends who will be real ones that will support you through everything.
