Yeah, not all that impressed with Dillon's defense. He seems to get beat and then commit a dumb foul. The reason Smith is pulled and not Dillon is that Smith is not doing what Udoka wants him to do. Maybe a bad read, a lapse in judgement, etc. Udoka keeps it all in house. Same for Green. Both Smith and Green need to take Udoka's instructions to heart and play up to their capabilities every game, not just now and then. This is what college is for, to get players grounded. Unfortunately, in today's world, players come into the NBA not ready, playing on talent alone.
This team reminds me of the Celtics, but I still don’t trust Green. Bro chill, we’re gonna get past the Mavs with winning. The more the Rockets win, the more the channel will go up💯🤘🏾

Bingo. First you have to learn how to win at home. Then on the road. Then in the playoffs. Thunder went through it. Rockets will have to go through it. Don't expect a championship in 2025. Still more growth ahead. Once these guys hit 25, then they will be ready.
Okay, I’m ready to say it. If Tari and Amen are doing their terror thing and the Rockets get at least two other players to score at least 20 points each, they can beat any other team in the West four games out of any given seven games, with the possible exception of OKC. OKC is the class of the WC and the standard by which the Rockets need to measure themselves the rest of the year. Therefore the upcoming game against OKC is a huge measuring stick for the Rockets.

I'm really happy with the game JG had against the 76ers but we will need all that against OKC. OKC is a big game, but he was able to show out against them last year when he was on his streak. He needs to do that again.
A message needs to be sent to OKC. I think they realize the the Rockets will likely be their biggest rivals moving forward in the playoffs over the next 5 to 10 years and they make it a point to bring their "A" game against us.
Pretty difficult game against a injury-destroyed opponent... But I'll give Rockets the fact that it's back-to-back road game all the way on the other side of the country/continent, after Minesotta.
We need to get Cam Whitmore back beforw the Thunder game. We dont have enough offensive firepower to keep up with the Thunder. I much rather have Cam in the rotation than Reed. Reed is tok hesistant and scared to do anything, offensively. Cam dont have that issue. He's a dog....an alpha and aint scared at all.
Hmmm, you would rather have a 5% three point shooter playing instead of a 36% shooter. Cam has a world of talent, but until he learns to play team ball, he does not have the same value.
@@greglyon1402 Cam, at his best, is a 35%+ 3-point shooter. He's been in a slump with the Rockets. I wouldnt worry about his shooting. He can definitely shoot. On top of that, he can get to the basket and finish. And he's a much bigger guard at 6'7 and 235 pounds. He's head and shoulders a better offensive player than Reed.
I feel like a lot of the bench’s issue can be solved with replacing Reed’s minutes with Whitmore. Whitmore is perfect for those scoring droughts we have because he’s a bucket. The playtime that he has gotten has been mostly garbage time, so he hasn’t even had REAL game time apart from like 2 games. Reed has felt underwhelming so far and I don’t think he’s deserving of playtime over Whitmore.
Whitmore shooting is atrocious. 37% from the field and 5% from three. Udoka wants to get Reed going, but if he doesn't soon, those minutes will go to Holiday who is shooting 39% from deep on limited minutes. Reeds numbers are decent, but not for a guy that was supposed to be a shooter. Further, he has nights where he can't hit a shot and other nights when he is hot. Meanwhile, Knecht is shooting nearly 44% from three. Hope the Rockets did not whiff on the 3rd pick in 2024 draft. I still believe in Reed as the future point guard of the Rockets, but so far, he is struggling.
Can't say Alpi is the "go to guy" just because coach tapped him for last play. The opponent just didn't have a counter position person to match up with Alpi in THAT game. In another, if Alpi is being guarded with a desent center....best choice to take the last shot is someone else.
Aaron Holliday should definitely be getting more minutes. He always contributes on both ends of the floor when he's out there. Sheppard, Adams, and Landale have all been trash in that 8th spot of the rotation.
About Al P, love the dude, but he should NOT be our closer. When he posts up, defenders can come at him from all angles to poke the ball away from him. Now, if they do what they did last night, meaning feeding him at the elbow, it does give him more options, but it’s not a long term solution - unless Al P is going to willingly take shots from there, rather than try to drive in, bc the D will give him that shot.
There's no reliable scorer on the team, yet. Sengun is the closest facsimile, but he's not on the level of Durant, Curry, or even Booker and Tatum. Hopefully Sheppard will grow into that role.
True, but they have the depth. One night Green, another night Alpi, another night Smith, another night and so on with Amen, Tari, Dillon, and FVV. But FVV and Dillon need to learn to pass the ball when their shot is not dropping.
Really? That's a lot of pressure to put on Reed. I see Reed more as future FVV, perhaps a little better. That is pretty good, but Curry, Booker, Durant? Those are perennial all-stars who can give you 60 points on any given night.
@Fetemart Curry was the 7th pick in his draft, Sheppard was 3rd. Curry came to the NBA with elite shooting skills, so did Sheppard. Curry developed better handles and shot creativity, so can Sheppard. I'd dare say Sheppard has better athleticism. So why not Sheppard?
@@dcc70 Curry was drafted in the 09 draft, with names like Blake Griffin, James Harden, and Derozan. This draft year was widely seen by most experts as a particularly weak draft class, so 3 this year was not the equivalent of a 3 most other years. More than that, Curry greatly exceeded expectations. I did expect he would be a great shooter like his dad, but didn't expect he would be a top 75 player. That said, who knows Reed might get to that level. I just don't see it. Very few players get to that level.
It's never easy to get 40 in an NBA game no matter who's on the court, the vast majority of NBA players that are playing and retired have never scored forty. Not even once, so chill
@@RasheenWardlaw the vast majority Of players are playing or retired have never won a ring. This team deserves better consistent player for a ring. JG always plays like a star once there is no superstar playing against him
@@cevoilepaylasimlar4696 Jalen Green has out paced the vast majority of gaurds to ever play the game. You say he's not consistent and he isn't but obviously he is supremely talented. Dude is 22, he's a kid, but heres the thing when it comes to getting up 30 balls and 40 balls JG at his age Jalen in the Ai, Ant, Booker, Kobe class he is special and sometimes for special players you have to have patience. It is not like your eyes are lying to you when you see the miraculous things that he does on the court. Pump the brakes just a lil
Our main problem this season we'll continue to be that some of core unit guys having off nights each night. It's always at least 2 players that are liability. Fortunately it's always 2 different players so it's easier to overcome that and keep winning as much as possible. It shows lack of consistency and experience and not lack of quality. Consistency and experience are easier to overcome than lack of quality.
Fred either will move on or slide over to the backup PG. Amen will not be the point guard. He is a better point forward. With his size, hopefully Reed develops into the point guard of the future. Progress is slow. But I see the Rockets future line up as Sengun and a future draft pick at center. Reed and a backup point guard. Green, Amen and Cam rotating at the wings. Smith and Eason at power forward. I also look for the Rockets to draft another wing and point guard. Rockets were hoping AJ Griffin would be the fourth wing. Whom they draft all depends on the Suns right now as the Rockets picks will not be very high.
Best idea is to bring Cam to rotation and Jabari for backup 5. JG showed up, every game around 20 will do, he must carefully shoot the ball and nake less turnovers.
I wholeheartedly disagree with this narrative. When Udoka sits Sengun out at the end of certain games , the reasons are obvious. This guy turns the ball over in crucial moments & you cannot do that when the game is on the line. Amen Thompson’s defense contributed more to Rockets winning then what Sengun did in the end. Landale probably could’ve done the same thing on a hot night. Ps. Jalen scored 41pts remember?
Tutarlı olsa jalen uzak ara 1 inci oyuncuydu zaten , hedef oydu ama Jalen bunun üstesinden gelmesi lazım , Alperen tutarlı en azından atlet olmasada Oyun zekası üst düzey , playoff da kim ne yapacak seyredeceğiz , menejeri gibi konuşuyorsun dostum 😊
Not likely. Sengun is not even the top scorer on the Rockets. Meanwhile Jokic is third in scoring, first in rebounds, and second in assist. The closest Sengun comes to the top ten is tenth in rebounding.

Segun got go stronger in clutch. Slam the ball! The game didn't supposed go over time. Same thing happens on buck game .
Can't say Alpi is the "go to guy" just because coach tapped him for last play. The opponent just didn't have a counter position person to match up with Alpi in THAT game. In another, if Alpi is being guarded with a desent center....best choice to take the last shot is someone else.
if jalen doesn't force on offense, he can easily has over 20 points every nights. he must learn how to play with his teammates.
Rockets doing this with 4-5 legit nba players getting DNPs every night. Depth is crazy
Playoffs are coming. Next year, conference final!!
everything aside, dillon brooks with 0 is kinda crazy
And a dumb foul to send it into overtime.
Very few players get to that level.
the problem is percentage of 3 poiint , if they can get better percentage alpi will got more point
Question - could JG drop 41 if Joel was in the game? Off course it was an easy game for JG
Joe Embid wont be around long, Sixers season is pretty much gone
Our main problem this season we'll continue to be that some of core unit guys having off nights each night. It's always at least 2 players that are liability.
Fortunately it's always 2 different players so it's easier to overcome that and keep winning as much as possible. It shows lack of consistency and experience and not lack of quality. Consistency and experience are easier to overcome than lack of quality.
(Pre Watch post) I couldn't wait to watch this to see how bad Jackson trashes JG (sarcasm)
25:13 I believe (sometime later) we’re gonna let go of Fred and start Amen
@ Yeah idk about that, Reed has to develop a lot before filling that spot as a starter, but we’ll see.
🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
So does JG get a slight apology now that you see the second unit ain't that great? I'm just asking lol
No, Jalen is not consistent
Go Rockets x2!
Go rockets 🚀
Best idea is to bring Cam to rotation and Jabari for backup 5. JG showed up, every game around 20 will do, he must carefully shoot the ball and nake less turnovers.
Fred Van Fleet shoots 25 shots a game, and Alpereen shoots 23 shots a game that's to many shots, Jalen don't shoot enough sometimes, as well Jabari.
@@ernestbrown7354 Green actually averages the most fga's on the team.
Ps. Jalen scored 41pts remember?
jg my admiration has blinded you my friend... sengun is the best player of this team whether you like it or not this is the truth... get used to it😎
@@hayrunnisapampal7866 tell him first to create his own shot
Tutarlı olsa jalen uzak ara 1 inci oyuncuydu zaten , hedef oydu ama Jalen bunun üstesinden gelmesi lazım , Alperen tutarlı en azından atlet olmasada Oyun zekası üst düzey , playoff da kim ne yapacak seyredeceğiz , menejeri gibi konuşuyorsun dostum 😊
Sengun is going for MVP
😂😂😂
Not likely. Sengun is not even the top scorer on the Rockets. Meanwhile Jokic is third in scoring, first in rebounds, and second in assist. The closest Sengun comes to the top ten is tenth in rebounding.
