Wow! This is certainly a lot less expensive - and cleaner - option for a generator quiet box! Most of the quiet boxes I see on TH-cam look kinda hillbilly (not that there's anything wrong with that) and don't allow you to carry the generator. The DeWalt 63-gallon mobile tool boxes are about $79 at Home Depot, plus they carry the diamond plate aluminum there as well. It looks like you used 12-volt radiator cooling fans, which can be found cheap at most auto recycling places. A really nice setup for around a hundred bucks, well done, sir!
These are great boxes, I bought one at Home Depot for $60. I throw it in the back of my truck and it is used for blankets and other stuff when traveling. Would be nice if there was a company that made these boxes in custom sizes (for other generators) or larger boxes, same design.

it seems everyone with generators now put them in a "QUIET BOX".....we just bolted our Honda EU2 Super Quiet baby onto the van....no 'quiet box'. The geni was just a comforting "hummmm" particularly with the van window closed at that end. Times change.
Over heating at exhaust port it will trap too much heat above opening ,burn grass dry on ground . Solution move exhaust baffle plate away from box , or mount on sliding handle to move in or out, then can angle slightly up wards for heat convection flow , on intake mount fans low as possible for heat convection flow.
I believe that generator exhausts through the cooling air. I think it would be simpler to just duct the generator's entire cooling/exhaust flow out through an opening, no additional fans needed. I believe it sucks fresh air from the bottom of the generator, correct?
I am curious after a couple of years use do you have any changes or suggestions? I have a 3500 Predator that I would like to do the same thing to. It's pretty quiet but would like to protect it from the rain for rv use.

Cosmetically nice, clean box. However, you're bound to overheat & damage the geny. Nothing says "Gimme" like an unwatched DeWalt tool chest on wheels! Just sayin'... there are unscrupulous people out there, keep an eye on it!
Haha...generator will die being cramped into that little plaster box. You need at least 4 inches on air space on all sides, also the sunlight will overheat this box and cause the Honda to malfunction because there is not enough air space, the fans won't be able to circulate most of the hot air out because it is compressed to tight. Better just to buy a zombie box or build one according to their design...I WIN...HAHA.

Great job, first video I’ve seen using a hard case like that, very cool, can’t hear it run.
I suggest reading the reviews for this box. The weak link is the latches. A metal truck box may be a better solution.

That honda is one of the quietest generators made , there's no way you need to quiet it.
