I hear you My Sister. I too feel the same. All the memories that we have tied to this event as we were once apart of it for many many years. It used to be a lot of work for the guys as it took hours to get ready and performing multiple times a day for the duration of the Ceremonial. I was so happy to document and see the event as a spectator. Glad we were apart of this awesome event. Memories will live on in our hearts forever.

How many Mesoamarican dancers speak Nahuatl or any other Mesoamerican language? My money goes none of 'em. Without the language, you're just going through meaningless motions.
Same for the Navajo language. Very few youngins know their language. Elders used to say “once the language is spoken no more then that’s the end of the Navajo people”
@@LangzProduction they're right, the language binds the culture, but who's to blame? It's the parents and extended family that doesn't bother speakin' it at home. I say speak the language all the time, they'll learn English from TV and everywhere else. Sad situation north of the border but there are currently almost 2 million first language Nahuatl speakers.
Sad Ceremonial isn't what it used to be. It's a circus now. They don't use the spot lights anymore. !. Some of the dance groups they have aren't even worth being there. Their are better dance groups out there. The pueblos don't like the Navajos! But it's the Navajos Sponsoring Ceremonial!!.. so I'm sure those pueblo groups enjoyed getting their Navajo $$!!.. without the Navajo sponsorship there would be no ceremonial!!
I am not a person that judges other cultures or races and the way they conduct themselves. I do know that I have been apart or ceremonial since the 70th annual. My experience in that time have been nothing but positive. There was a time when all of us were housed in the same quarters and have gotten along with each other and learned from each other, but as I have found out the groups are no long houses in the same vicinity they are now housed in hotels as the livening quarters are no longer livable and condemned. But yeah back in those days we all mingled and got along with other tribes and nationalities. I am sorry you feel that way.
But Cody I love the comment and feed back it really means a lot to me and the productions I have worked so hard to present to you my audience. Stay blessed and subscribe if you haven’t already. Much appreciated. Thank you for commenting.

In a matter of yrs there will be no one to teach our generation, all of our elders are passing 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Lisa I agree. I try to teach my kids the language but I am not always consistent. I need to make a better attempt at it. Thank you for commenting.
Not the Ceremonial without the Grand Entry song by the band.
