This is the reason why Matoro remains not only one of my favorite Toa of all Bionicle. But one of my favorite heroic characters period. He never thought of himself as a hero, or a warrior, or for that matter much of a chosen one. He was a Ko-Matoran, who only ever thought of himself as a translator for his village's leader. The role of savior was just chosen for him, but he never allowed this to inflate his ego. Merely he acknolwedged it as a part of his destiny. And though he was hesitant to accept it, he nonetheless did, with his final wish, his ultimate desire being... to see his friends return home safely. Matoro signifies everything I love about his character archetype and heroes in general. He never thought himself a hero, nor did he ever allow such thoughts to infest his mind... he didn't sacrifice himself for glory, or really even destiny. He sacrificed himself for his friends. He sacrificed himself for the world he loved. And in doing so... he became the best hero of that entire universe. May he rest in peace... decades after his sacrifice.
You truly brought the comic to life! It's very satisfying to watch something so carefully made, and the voices suit their characters perfectly. I'm especially impressed by how much Vakama's voice resembles the original movie voice! I'm really happy to see you're planning to do the Karda Nui comics as well. Can't wait! :D
