Apart from Nuketown, the design and simplicity of IIII's maps were much more appealing; both visually, and gameplay wise. The soundtracks on the other hand share much of the same influence, and as such, have no real competition between each other.
RullyisJRM this was partially due to the fact there was advanced movement but if they tweaked the old maps a tiny bit to account for bo4s movement then we could’ve had some great remastered maps.
If I played both games, not knowing which one came out first, I would hands down say that BO3 was the newest title. Not only with audio and graphics, but everything about BO3 is far better put together and well polished. Huge shame they half-assed multiplayer in order to put more money, effort, and their best design team into a mediocre battle royale instead of focusing on the bread and butter of the series.

Agreed, Zombies is great in both, MP is way better in 4, Blackout is much better than a Campaign and I don't like BR much, it's the only BR I like. I'm primarily a Zombies play though, and in 4 it's amazing

The removal of campaign doesn't bother me as Blackout was done very well and there is plenty of other content added in as a result. People are making a huge deal out of what probably would have been a mediocre 6-8 hour experience in SP.

Graphic .J but in fact they worked with Blizzard (cause of the Activision Blizzard mashup) to optimize the PC version of Black Ops 4 featured by the part of the Overwatch department and they obviously worked hard that Black Ops 4 is E-Sport ready compared to Black Ops 3 (it feels more balanced, downgraded to run better on all platforms and it makes in my eyes fun and the boots on the ground aspect makes the game way more tactical)
Are you talking about canadian dollars or american dollars though, because if it's 79 canadian then that is cheap compared to denmark, we pay 549 Danish crowns for new games including black ops 4 which equals to 110 canadian dollars

The graphics have obviously been downgraded, but everyone in the comments who thinks the inclusion of Blackout is the excuse for it doesn't realise that Activision could have invested in an updated engine to allow for better graphics and more players in Blackout. However, that takes actual effort, so obviously they didn't do it. What makes it even worse is that they saved millions by not making a campaign, but still refused to invest that momey in a better engine because they know the game will sell like hot cakes either way. They'll probably do it in the next year or 2 when they can use it in their marketing for that game.

It has nothing to do with the engine, it’s about keeping the 60 frames per second rate. Current gen consoles simply cannot handle blackout any better than this at 60 FPS

To me Black Ops 3 was an original. It had original ideas and designs with cool Specialist that I would consider iconic and memorable. The game introduced the idea of a futuristic Call Of Duty and taking a risky move added features that were never seen in COD before such as jumping on walls and jet packs. And you know what? I actually found these new concepts genuinely fun and interesting. The game took more practical skill and full involvement in. This is why Bo3 to me is a very memorable Cod game surpassing the likes of Infinite Warfare by a large margin... But I didn’t see what this iconic game would turn into. Bo4 is a watered down, micro-transaction induced game with almost an identical game engine (and we’re taking about this game coming out two years after Bo3 and it still uses the similar one). Our beloved Specialist haves been toned down, loosing all that was “special” (no pun intended) about them. The characters lost all of there trademark items and looks with characters such as Sythe looking completely different from the previous game. I guess that the developers wanted a more grounded and realistic version of the characters and I get that but there were so many other design choices they could have done to make them more realistic but still keep the amazing and iconic features about them. All the guns look nearly identical and probably there are even less weapons than the last game (I might be wrong on that part; haven’t played Bo4 in a while). Over all Bo3 is the far superior game that is an iconic masterpiece in my opinion compared to the likes of Bo4. I hope the next Black Ops installment either has a continuation of the Mason-Woods story or a continuation of our Specialist characters storyline which I do give props to Bo4 for making cool and interesting back stories for.

Great video, very sad that they did downgrade. I feel like they had to in order to keep people from complaining that the BR mode was terrible looking in comparison. I can't recall exactly when, but BO3 did update some stuff after a while, I think they made one map darker slightly better looking. I feel like BO3 was completely perfect down to the menus , sound effects, even in the menu and gameplay, I loved the jetpacks and wallrunning. I hope I grow to love BO4 the same way.

Graphic .J but in fact they worked with Blizzard (cause of the Activision Blizzard mashup) to optimize the PC version of Black Ops 4 featured by the part of the Overwatch department and they obviously worked hard that Black Ops 4 is E-Sport ready compared to Black Ops 3 (it feels more balanced, downgraded to run better on all platforms and it makes in my eyes fun and the boots on the ground aspect makes the game way more tactical)
It's practically the same thing with GTA how the GTA 5 graphics were downgraded from GTA 4

The graphics have obviously been downgraded, but everyone in the comments who thinks the inclusion of Blackout is the excuse for it doesn't realise that Activision could have invested in an updated engine to allow for better graphics and more players in Blackout.
However, that takes actual effort, so obviously they didn't do it.
What makes it even worse is that they saved millions by not making a campaign, but still refused to invest that momey in a better engine because they know the game will sell like hot cakes either way. They'll probably do it in the next year or 2 when they can use it in their marketing for that game.
I don't think they had enough time on creating a new engine for blackout since they thought of the BR mode months before release.

It has nothing to do with the engine, it’s about keeping the 60 frames per second rate. Current gen consoles simply cannot handle blackout any better than this at 60 FPS

I think bo4 is more realistic but the detail is better in bo3 and you can see bo4 was severely rushed.

- a nice cinematic graphics design
- a new style of zombies with more difficulty and fun
- a competitive free run to test ur skills and compete with ur friends

Anyone else notice quality drop in cod games as the years went by? Remember how creepy world at war was and now everything just looks too detailed?
To me Black Ops 3 was an original. It had original ideas and designs with cool Specialist that I would consider iconic and memorable. The game introduced the idea of a futuristic Call Of Duty and taking a risky move added features that were never seen in COD before such as jumping on walls and jet packs. And you know what? I actually found these new concepts genuinely fun and interesting. The game took more practical skill and full involvement in. This is why Bo3 to me is a very memorable Cod game surpassing the likes of Infinite Warfare by a large margin... But I didn’t see what this iconic game would turn into. Bo4 is a watered down, micro-transaction induced game with almost an identical game engine (and we’re taking about this game coming out two years after Bo3 and it still uses the similar one). Our beloved Specialist haves been toned down, loosing all that was “special” (no pun intended) about them. The characters lost all of there trademark items and looks with characters such as Sythe looking completely different from the previous game. I guess that the developers wanted a more grounded and realistic version of the characters and I get that but there were so many other design choices they could have done to make them more realistic but still keep the amazing and iconic features about them. All the guns look nearly identical and probably there are even less weapons than the last game (I might be wrong on that part; haven’t played Bo4 in a while). Over all Bo3 is the far superior game that is an iconic masterpiece in my opinion compared to the likes of Bo4. I hope the next Black Ops installment either has a continuation of the Mason-Woods story or a continuation of our Specialist characters storyline which I do give props to Bo4 for making cool and interesting back stories for.

I actually love the colorization in bo4, everything is so vibrant and while not realistic, very appealing to the eye.

Great video, very sad that they did downgrade. I feel like they had to in order to keep people from complaining that the BR mode was terrible looking in comparison. I can't recall exactly when, but BO3 did update some stuff after a while, I think they made one map darker slightly better looking. I feel like BO3 was completely perfect down to the menus , sound effects, even in the menu and gameplay, I loved the jetpacks and wallrunning. I hope I grow to love BO4 the same way.
