At the point where you're discussing similarities with techno, it's unclear whether you know that Meute describe their genre as "marching band techno". What you're talking about there is definitely what they're aiming for.
I think I said on a Bluecoats video that this music is quite far outside my wheelhouse, though I could definitely appreciate the jazz influence on this especially. Really loved that section with the short, staccato stabs too. Almost sounded like a marching band version of djent!
This tune was my first exposure to these guys some time back. The other tune I couldn't stop listen to in those days, was Slip. But they have many great tunes. Like Kerboros Hey, Hey The Man With The Red Face Raw Gula And many more. I am not sure, but I think they mostly play arrangements of other's songs.
So glad you like it. This song has been the first one I heard from this band and in that very moment I became a fan. I'll get to see them live in 8 days and I'm already crazy about it. Enjoy MEUTE! 🥳🥳 My favorite track is their rework of "Rushing Back". This is what my soul sounds like. 💗
Dude, the trombones and the sousaphone just started to lay out an incredibly nice and soft carpet out off bass and beautiful chords and you talk about your xylophone back in the days.. This probably my most favorite part of the song
May a German can help you with pronouncing it. It is spoken MOYTE with an OY like OYSTER.
About the pronounciation, those guys are German, so they are pronounced something like "Moy-te" :)
Pronounced "moytuh", btw.
CHECK OUT THEIR LATEST -" LOCKDOWN".. BEST ONE EVER FOR THEM, JUST BRILLIANT !!

I saw them live in Manchester last night, they were amazing..!
Not sure how you feel about wonky electronic music, but you should react to Flume. If you do, I suggest starting with "Rushing Back". :D
Amazing song, definitely recommend

That’s just good fun. Linked concerts are cool too, less soul but more driving.
