I think they should do spinoffs. Ryan becomes a good homelander (like invincible becomes a good hero), kimiko and frenchie have a daughter, Hughi and Anny have a son with powers, MM retires, and Butcher dies (he has become a villain at this point)

I have mixed feelings about this season but that last episode was probably one of the best episodes of the whole show 🔥 it was so good and also so messy... i can't even predict what's going to happen next season. I believe Sage has a bigger plan (to take down Homelander). I hope Ashley will have "hair powers" like Marvel's Medusa 🤭 Hope we will see more of the Gen V characters too, especially Marie now that Neumann is gone she could be very usefull in the boys gang.

Quite a few people are complaining about how Sage has been written but I mean she pushed Neuman to be vice president and set up the Shape shifter to kill Singer. She also just started this big riot between the hometeamers and stralighters or whatever they are called, she got firecracker to join the seven to rule up her demographics and make Starlight look worse so the assassination by the shape shifter looked more believable. When she changed her mind (or just pretended to homelander she changed her mind) she probably knew that Sameer had been kidnapped by Butcher and so assumed the boys would kill her after Singer was killed. Then she also made sure the new president elect was backing homelander

See, the problem with writing smart characters is that _a lot_ of the time you end up just writing characters that have a copy of the script instead. Now, up until a certain point, Sage's actions did seem like just actions of a super-smart character, finale being "all part of her plan" however - nope, she's read the script.

@@cohenparsons947Okay, let's start from the very beginning. The entire virus project was being kept secret from Homelander by Vicky. What, Sage knew about it and didn't tell Homelander? Fine.
Sage knowing about the virus has to come from _somewhere,_ i don't care how smart your character is, channels of information are the same regardless, if there's no logical chain of facts, or, at least, educated guesses that Sage couldve made to figure the virus situation out(which, mind you, has transpired before she was hired by Homelander), then the only reasonable explanation is "oh yeah, she's read the script".
But let's say Sage knew about the virus, that it was in Vicky's hands and that Vicky's ex-husband was running experiments on it. Allowing Vicky, the person Sage planned to remove, to keep it in her hands on some farm, rather than immideately snatching it, is a major risk and a liability - what if experiments are successful and Vicky gets a sample strong enough to destroy Homelander, dramatically increasing her leverage? Knowing that this won't happen can, once again, only be achieved by reading the script.

First half of this episode, I was concerned. Second half saved it tho, especially the ending with the montage over nirvana. Shit was fantastic.
I could see Butcher, Starlight, Kamiko, A Train, Maeve, Ryan , Ashley team up and become The Seven. Fan fiction I know.

very stupid idea. there is a reason movies are kinda dead and tv series are on the rise.

The series left a great and intriguing ending. But all this now constitutes conclusive proof of the real risks. Frenchy and kmiko in their relationship but feeling bad about what Sam and Cate will do to them. MM in her reunion with Love susage and other supers, annie helpless. And butcher was faced with seeing himself as a psychopath and hughie on the verge of being equal to butcher. In the middle of the war for Homelander's power that is now taking over the world and with an soldier boy. Everything must happen in the end at the white house.

This final was such a good build up for what's in store for season 5 like what the hell🤣 My mate said what if a massive plot twist was that butcher imagined that whole encounter with Ryan and Grace cuz that means that butcher might not have needed to kill Newman and set the dominoe off for marshal law😬 just something to ponder over the next 2 year
Okay we know the tumor is split into two, The good and evil side of butcher but doesn’t that mean Becca can also take control of Butcher if she wanted?
Crazy enough, Butcher is the best case scenario. Remember he wants to kill all the supes aka Homelander’s enforcers.

I love how that secret service agent who gets shoved into the desk was simultaneously one of the least bloody but also most gruesome kills this episode. Seeing the spine sticking out and his body all bent wrong... Just ew
Ryan, Starlight, and suped-up Ashley are still free. They might be the key to reuniting The Boys. It would be cool to see A-Train and Queen Maeve on the side of good as well, but I'm not too hopeful.
Ryan will have to grow up, take off the rose colored glasses and remember he's his mother's son.
Finally Starlight got her powers in sync.
Fingers crossed 🤞 on Ashley. I like her crazy a$$.
@@hellzzonearth Since we're getting Gen V s02 first, I imagine it will be the original Guardians of Godolkin, Zoey and Ryan who will come to the rescue in The Boys s05. I doubt we'll get another Ashley bdsm romp like we had this past season, but it seems like she'll get either Medusa (Inhumans) hair-based powers, or intelligence-based powers like The Leader.
Pretty sure Ashley is turning into some alternate version of Jack from Jupiter from the comics.

Does no-one in America play consecutive games of Connect 4? Why does everyone seem to assume Ryan and Butcher are taking ages over one game?
I originally thought it was Negan who took control, but I don't think that's the case, the last scene showing Negan in the back seat. I think its all Butcher now, accepting the actions Negan wants so, sadly, it is Butcher who did that.
I will say, the thing with Vicky, really wouldn't do anything if she did help. Its clear at this point, she can't use her power on Homelander, he's too strong. Given what happened after with the new President and Martial Law, any information Vicky had wouldn't change anything.
There will be another Gen V between this and next season of Boys
they didn't show the girl who controls the blood, so she will definitely be on the side of the Butcher.
Bring on the final season!
The Sage thing feels like such a cop out at the end, way too many things didnt go to plan for her to mean it. If shes so smart, we need to see it in action rather than have her walk in at the end and claim that was her plan.

I liked this season much more than season 3, which really felt like a massive filler sidequest to kill Soldier Boys teammates. Completely pointless time wasting.

He blacked out when Kessler killed Ezekiel. Who's to say he isn't blacked out when Kessler killed Victoria? He let Kessler take the wheel. Which is why Kessler is sitting in the back seat at the end of the episode. He gave Butcher back control. Yes Butcher is still very much there, but the darker side of his mind is more than capable of corrupting his thinking. Hence his "super cancer" brain.
Funny that soldier boy is not a good guy at all but i think he would help fight against Homelander🤔
I bet at the end of gen v season 2 Annie will recruit the guardians of gadolkin to help her free the boys in season 5 and who knows maybe we can get Sam back yo normal and he will be on their side too

This implies the shifter was the main inciter and was taking advantage of Hughie, but was framed as cheating and he got blamed for it which...yeah, truly dissapointed how the male SA was treated there.

No it wasn't. She was a terrible person. She was on board with everything Homelander was about to do until it came back to bite her. Hughie and Butcher warned her on two occasions that Homelander was going to use her as a puppet and she ignored them. Not to mention she killed all of those people to get where she is in the first place.

Well…. Butcher’s dying, likely from the V and Temp-V; Hughie’s dad did not respond well to his dose, having severe memory problems; and Ashley looks like she’s turning into a Ben Grimm-type monster or Gollum-type creature from her dose. I wouldn’t call them “successes”, per se.
Maybe "V killing adults" thing is one big lie from the beginning. Adults (who just got superpowes) are harder to control and more dangerows that kids. When Neuman injected her daughter with V she didn't afraid at all that V can kill her, and her daughter was definitely not young child anymore.

Of course, the season ends with everybody f*cked because that's how this series has played out since the beginning. The only reason I bothered to watch it in the first place was that I had watched Gen V. I had watched the first season; however, the season finale left me so bummed that I didn't care to watch anymore. Now I realize that I made a mistake in watching any more.

Holy shit that was a good episode and good way to end the season. One of the best episodes in the whole series. I cried like 4 times. The worst season and I didn't love every episode but still great and still love the show. But, of course I still have some complaints/questions for the final.
Why is Kimiko so close to the virus?
The "like a furnace" gotta be a tick of hers, no way she'd be stupid enough to let that slip out.
How did Annie get in to the bunker!?
Why would you just stand over the shifter like that!? Keep pounding her in, and especially since it's Annie and she knows what she did she would have done it just out of anger...

How the hell is this going to wrap up in one final season?? There is just seems to be to much going on and I mean will Gen V then just end after there second season? It seems odd to end on 2 seasons but how would Gen V really continue if The Boys ends? What threat would exist beyond Homelander and Vought? I’m kinda upset about this choice to end at season 5 I mean they could have turned this into a huge epic big world with many crossovers and all. This show is awesome and I just don’t see it ending on season 5 despite what they say and have confirmed. And dude really?? They really had to kill Numen like that? She was one of my favorite characters and I always just thought she was stronger than that and more important and then gets taken out so easily like bruhh. And isn’t her power the same as the blood bending chick in Gen V? Didn’t we see that? That she legit could do the same thing but had progressed it further to exploding heads and all that? But like why did we never see her do other things with her power then?
Agreed. I’m worried 1 more season is not enough and a lot of sub stories will get rushed or neglected. They really should end it with a sixth season so nothing gets rushed.

I really don't care about soldier boy or Maeve or a train coming back to fight homelander... we seen it... they built Neuman to be this new big threat that could rival homelander but absolutely destroyed her here, making her last moment in panic and struggled (also worried about her daughter's safety) before she died.
With her blood manipulation, she should still be able to reattach herself or survive in blood form.. but there is an interview that confirmed this is her last scene and her death scene...

Being so invulnerable she even panic/struggled while being tangled up, and were in terrible remorse and panic for her daughter's safety before she diedm
