Their presence is long past due in the State of Palestine - formed in 1988.

And, I believe we should be clear eyed about the stakes of this election. And the stakes aren’t democracy vs. autocracy as the Democrats are framing it.
You can call our government authoritarian but it’s not really autocratic. But It might become that. It’s better described as plutocratic (minority rule) and an oligarchy (rule of the wealthy.) And the donors -the wealthy minority- demonstrated their rule, with the swift replacement of Biden with Harris. After Biden’s disastrous performance in the CNN debate.
No president has the power to change that. Both plutocracy and oligarchy are baked into the constitution.
The framers of the constitution stated explicitly that they were striking a balance between Democracy and Oligarchy. But implicit within the Constitution was plutocracy as well, with the formation of a constitutional republic.
Frankly it’s disputable that we ever had a democratic government. If you argue that we did, it was never a true democracy of the people. As our rhetoric about democracy would suggest.
But history lessons aside; the republicans have been consciously packing the courts for the last six decades, with very conservative judges. They’ve managed to secure a 6 to 3 majority on the Supreme Court. With strong support from evangelical right, those Justices are effectively turning the country into a Theocracy.
Alito and Thomas want to retire. And they are waiting for a Republican president before they do. A second term of Trump would allow him the opportunity to appoint a total of no less than five young Justices. Locking in a conservative majority for generations to come.
Adding a possible two terms republicans following Trump, could pack the high court with an even larger majority.
While I’d love to see a Jill Stein presidency, it’s unrealistic. For swing states voters, the imperative to keep a Republican out of the white house has never been higher,
I hate advocating for a genocide enabling candidate that I won’t vote for. I think voters should seriously consider the consequences of a second term for Trump, and vote strategically.
I’ve always hated the lesser of two evils argument. It ignores that the lesser evil is still evil. But we faced, once again, with picking our poison.
In 2016 someone described the choice between Trump and Clinton akin to the choice between syphilis and gonorrhea. One of these diseases will kill the host. In 2016 it wasn’t clear which was the who was which. What wasn’t clear in 16 is clear in 24. More aptly, it’s the difference between a Plutocratic Oligarchy and a Theocratic Plutocracy.
While Supreme Court nominations might seem like technocratic byzantine handwringing. Consider an argument from Omar Baddar. And I’m paraphrasing;
He observes that, ‘Considering the scale of destruction and death in Gaza. Even a slight shift in rhetoric by Harris, could make the difference between thousands living or dying.’
The Biden, Bibi bromance has painted the left into a corner. I don’t think there has been an election in my lifetime that the imperative to vote strategically has been more pressing. I was a baby when Nixon ran against McGovern; and a child for Reagan vs. Carter.
If you’re in a safe blue state or somewhere that third party candidates hurt Trump rather than Harris. By all means vote Jill Stein, I will. If not, consider the long term consequences for the country inherent in another Trump White House before doing so. And Trump won’t be better for Palestine. Consider Baddar’s argument above as well. Tragically, I think he speaks with wisdom. We are where we are. And I do not envy swing state voters and the moral calculus they have been straddled with.

The problem we face is that the only candidate I believe would put a stop to Israel immediately would be Jill Stein. I'm totally pro-Palestine but after hearing her speak of what the Koran and Mohammed says about killing, idk why we never hear Palestinians denounce Hamas, also. They only denounce Israhell, as they should. But never have I heard them denounce the killings on 10/7. I didn't think much about that attack until I saw footage mostly from the music festival and it was disturbing on so many levels. Plus the civilians were also went into Israel and joined in the attack and kidnappings.
