It wasn't her boyfriend's fault; it was her ex boyfriend's fault. She had a boyfriend but was still communicating with her ex in jail. When he got out she went visiting him and allowed him to use her address as a mailing address so when the police went looking for the ex, they went to her house, assuming he was there.
