one of logic's most underrated songs ever.
Daviesz this is definitely true
Ur nuts
I’ve been saying this since 2014
I’m gone, Never enough, and Metropolis so underrated
It has 7 mill views, nowhere near underrated😂😂😂
@@sezuawn3861 that's why its underrated
I like the way how the first couple of lines of this song flow. "Sometimes I feel like I've drifted, I feel different, I feel gifted. I've been high so long, don't need to smoke to get lifted." So smooth and effortless.
+Kelly Wright Yes!!
+Apocalypse Snipers hello fellow apoc player
Hey
Cause it’s stolen from “sing about me, dying of thirst” by Kendrick before he sucked.

Here after he just announced his retirement after No Pressure releases. Gonna miss hearing new stuff. Wasn't always the biggest fan of every song, but it was always nice to hear him releasing new tracks. I'll miss him and the music.
He told us The Incredible True Story of Bobby Tarantino who rose from being Under Pressure to being an Undeniable legend also known as Young Sinatra who eventually got bored and worked at a Supermarket so he could reveal the Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, find inner peace, and realize now that he had done it all, there was No Pressure to leave behind a legacy.
i dont think hes leaving he always has something up his sleeve
Bro that was some corny shit and the albums were out of order. But, whatever, it works I guess.

“Yeah, I’ve been turning the pages, feelin’ the vibe, shit is outrageous” song’s chill as fuck holy shit
This song makes me feel hella nostalgic man. Good times
facts brotha
lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Sometimes I feel like I've drifted, I feel different I feel gifted
I've been high so long, don't need to smoke to get lifted
I've been under pressure looking for Nikki
Whenever she is around, you know I come quickly
Vivid memories of Chicago, south side where I go
From Reggies to the House of Blues, progress is the motto
Man the first show that I ever done sold out was in Chicago
Yeah, yeah, living like I've been ready to die
Maybe not, I don't know why my mind is changing
Rearranging this dangerous melody, uh
Yeah, and I know that ain't nobody finna ever be ahead of me
All that competition right there is dead to me
Yeah, uh, yeah, I've been turning the pages
Feeling the vibe, shit is outrageous
Boy, I've been feeling courageous
This shit right here, I've been at it for ages
Feels like I'm running through mazes
Everybody has they phases
Yeah, vibe with this, bad bitch in the whip and I ride to this
And I'm feeling it uh, hope when I'm forty I'm still in it
One of the few that be killing it, uh
Yeah, young motherfucker that be giving what he living
On the road to success so you know that I'm driven
But they didn't wanna publish it
But right now I'm on some other shit
I'm in a different world, I'm with a different girl
I'm with the same team, but it's a different scheme
Remember back when I couldn't even pay the bills
And I'll never forget how that feels back when I would
[Refrain 1]
Buy it, break it, roll it, light it, smoke it, inhale it, I'm gone
Buy it, break it, roll it, light it, smoke it, inhale it, I'm gone
[Verse 2]
Okay, doing what I gotta do, flying at this altitude
I look out the window like Goddamn, that's what I really do
Don't know why I fear the planes, sometimes I wish to sustain
If I look back on it I would do it all over again
Nikki, Nikki, where you been? I can't wait to breathe you in
Been on this plane way too long, I can't wait to see you again
Oh my God this turbulence has got me sippin' on this liquor
Crazy, racist, white bitch looking at us
Like, "Who are these niggas?"
First class, on they ass, all complain that's when I dash
Just landed in Europe and this model bitch is tryna smash
Now I'm riding on the train, all this shit inside my brain
Just left a hotel in Belgium, damn them waffles was insane
Smoking blunts in Amsterdam
Oh my God, this is my jam
"May-December" by Mos Def
In my headphones, that's the man
[Refrain 2]
I know, I know that I got it if I, do what I gotta do to get by
And they wonder why I never get high
And they wonder why I never get high
I know, I know that I got it if I, do what I gotta do to get by
And they wonder why I never get high
And they wonder why I never get high
[Verse 3]
Okay, fuck affiliation, I'm that dude that did it on his own
These thoughts inside my mind
Be fuckin' with me when I'm all alone
I really like this girl she bad as fuck, why must I run away?
It feel like self assassination, I can't put this gun away
God damn, what's the plan? Not complacent where I am
Reminiscing when I hit the road back in that mini van
Broke as fuck, not a dollar, whipping that Chevy Impala
Praying that we make it out this city, Lord willin', Insha'Allah
Up to date the couple years, now my idols are my peers
I was on the road to nowhere till I decided to veer
Put my everything into this shit
You know, I know you know this
Used to give a fuck what people thought
Hoping that they would notice
Stop giving a fuck cause music gotta be the only motive
Mind racing on and off the track, I'm going locomotive
[Skit: Logic & Anna]
I can't believe you don't like Tarantino
Ugh, I don't like him because, like-when it's non like non-Tarantino-esque, I think it's a good movie-
You mean like Inglourious Basterds?-I didn't see that
What?!-I didn't, I don't know-
Oh my God! Have you seen 'Pulp Fiction'?
Yeah, but I don't really remember it
What you talking about? Have you seen uh... this is funny cause we're on a train... have you seen-fuck! What's his name? The guy from the movie, in the place, on the thing?
On the train? With the scenery?
Uh, I'm tryna remember right now, dammit-'Source Code'!
No-You haven't seen that?
No-With the dude from 'Donnie Darko'?
Who's that?-Oh my God
Well, I still wanna know what your favorite Tarantino movie is...
My favorite Tarantino movie-?
[Refrain 2]
I know, I know that I got it if I, do what I gotta do to get by
And they wonder why I never get high
And they wonder why I never get high
I know, I know that I got it if I, do what I gotta do to get by
And they wonder why I never get high
And they wonder why I never get high
I know, I know that I got it if I, do what I gotta do to get by
And they wonder why I never get high
And they wonder why I never get high

Thanx bro
I've never in my life come across someone like Logic. He's changed my attitude, my out look, and givin me inspiration to chase my dreams and now I'm the brink of my future. I did it only with Logic booming through my ear buds. Man, you have reminded me what can be and with hard work, will be. Thank you for making music…you'll forever be my favorite. You touch my soul, Logic…
Like it sounds weird but i also changed as a person after hearing him for the 2st time
Logic is a monster this is so smooth
little fun fact for you die hard logic fans Metropolis was originally going to be called plane, trains, and automobiles.
got that from spotify
Brandon Rivera interview
+scirazzbrehh Metropolis is more concise. I think who ever suggested the title change is a genius.
I already knew tht
I'm not a fan I'm trash
Dang, sucks to see that he’s retiring, this a top song fr
Just a reminder that this song has not been forgotten.

Me too brother!!
LOGIC has more than 10 years helping to overcome things with DRAKE, Jack Harlow, J. COLE, KENDRICK LAMAR ECT. 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🔥🔥🎆❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Absolutely. This song was always my favorite. Logic did a great job of encapsulating a movie film in a song
This is probably one of my favorite tracks off the album. Whole thing was amazing but idk the skit with him and the girl at the end makes it just a more chilled vibe. Idk how to explain it just really eases the mind.
ik exactly how u feel
Check out "Soul Food" or "Dear God". I really like those two.
Soul food is amazing, I love that switch up in with the two beats TV BlackCenturion
Dubious I agree, I feel like he made the first half not that good(in my opinion) on purpose. So he could go harder to get your attention on the second half. Just my observation though. ;)
totally agreed! I normally hate skits, but not in Metropolis :)
A lot of people sleep on this song. But its fire asf 🔥🙏🏼
Mos def one of my favorite songs of all time
Mos Def is a rapper.
+Pay To See Username It's a reference, "May to December my Mos Def in my headphones, thats the man."
may-december is a song off of black on both sides by mos def
including me
i sleep to anything though ha
7 fucking years dude, I was in middle school jamming this shit when it came out. Time flies like a mofo
Yeah shits crazy and sad as fuck at the same time

The beat, The lyrics, The production. One of my fav albums from one of my fav rappers.
I could never explain how this song made me feel when I first heard this when I was 13yo and still to this day still can't describe it
In the same boat. Certified classic.
@@deanzlifebro I was in middle school listening to this man, so crazy how time flies it’s really so refreshing to hear
Same bro, we getting old brother.
I listen to this song and album almost everyday at work , it’s crazy how it gets me through the day

This album is dope. It's a breath of fresh air to hear rap/hip-hop with out an over saturation of drugs, money, hoes, etc.
Kudos to Logic!

+Joey Guenther actually, the drum beat was sampled by "Bill Withers - Use Me" made in the 70's
Have u heard his 5am beat
my favorite song on this album, when he breaks it down at 1:31 with that trumpet i can't help but just nod my head and vibe with it.
Song is always on repeat!

This song got me through a lot of hard times when i was a young teen and i still to this day listen to this joint to help me through emotional pain and struggles. Always makes me cry, thanks for the inspiration logic, hope you and your family do good in your retirement.
This guy's lyrics are something else. Man drops some tasty rhyme.
this song is my reset when I’m stressed and helps me get back to focusing on what’s important but in and optimistic way. Idk if that makes sense but this song has and always will just help my mental a lot
100% bro
This is probably my favorite song on the Album that wasn't released before the Album. Shit is dope feelin this Jazzy Vibe
But it is on his album though. It's my favorite track on there
The girls voice got me feeling some type of way man :')
But she doesn't like Quentin Tarantino movies.... lol j/k
Logic is Dope.. This track was on some Tribe Called Quest type shit..
this album saved my life
With trends changing and time passing by taking old artists and bringing in new ones, I’ve come to appreciate logic and his earliest work more and more. Still hard in 2018. Till forever.
Beat has some serious Nujabes vibes.
yeah does makes me wonder did Logic ever watch Samurai Champloo?
Yeah go on his channel he did a video where he show is ''gaming room'' and we can see a samurai champloo dvd.
*****
Alright, its cool to know that he did watch it we need a album where he samples Nujabes and makes songs out of his instrumentals
Oh god i would love to saw him cover the first part of ''luv sic''.
*****
YES! I'd love that but I'd also like luv sic part 3 to be covered too and reflection eternal
I thought i was listening to Sing About Me for the first 3 seconds of this song
Gavin Danaher Same. It's because Sing About Me and this sample the same song.
I thought the same lol I love kendrick
I heard sing about me a few months after this came and I thought "Wait is there's Metropolis?"
what the sample song
+yupitellwhut Use Me by Bill Withers. If you ever need to know things like this, a good website is called Who Sampled.

Veryy long way !! and I like how each project he digs deep inside his life to share !! he is a huge idol and mentor for my music!feel free to check it out and let me know EP "Called change in mind " : ) thank you !!
Such an underrated album. One of the best of the 2010s.
This beat is insane.
2020 still bumping, they gotta be highlighting his old songs before fame!!
Logic sampled “Use Me” by Bill Withers, which was later sampled by Kendrick Lamar on “Sing About Me”. So please, stop arguing and comparing.
Later sampled? you gotta fix your timeline, GKMC came out 2 years before this...
Nick Hendrickson I mean that "Use Me" was sampled first by Kendrick and later by Logic. Sorry for the misunderstood. However, Logic didn't sampled "Sing About Me", that was the point.
Listen to the second part of Under Pressure. Even more like Sing About Me.
Just Some Guy On The Internet this isn't sing about me atall ya'll dumb
Jermaine Blake This samples the same song that Sing About Me did and Under Pressure actually sampled Sing About Me itself.
This brings me back to good times
for real😭
Happy 10 years to this masterpiece of an album
This album feels like logic has lived his whole life already and he has lived many lives and he knows that we all have and he is sampling the many lives he's lived. The other lives he's sampling are his 2nd and 3rd albums Incredible True Story and Everybody. So inspiring
Album of the year I promise
wow, this song takes me wayyyyyy back to a simpler time. il never forget that time i wasted.
Damn I cant believe he is retiring, this song was one of my favorites by him
Always remember this logic or lose yourself
Most underrated logic song
good album, was expecting more but weren't we all just expecting a *perfect* album? good job
***** ya. for some reason i just like GKMC more. i could listen to both all day tho
TexasBassFishing Your talking like GKMC was Logic's album. I find it crazy that as soon as a new school rapper makes a new project people immediately compare them to Kendrick. Just goes to show the impact that Kendrick had on the scene.
BboyLorcan im comparing it to GKMC cuz logic did and other fans i see are. and ya there's word play. kendrick has some good word play too. i think logic is one of the best with spitting/flow though. I just like/vibe to kendrick's music more.
Billy Bob none of those were original... I've heard every single on of them from someone else.
taj561 not rlly
Logic, if you ever see this, this album changed my life
Someday I’ll end up spreading the message logic was trying to get through to a lot of people. Not just about his story but more so on true world peace
Am I only one who feels relaxed and carefree.. When the song starts
Never seen a saxophone in rap before. Creative and beautiful.
Man this song sticks out to me the most out of all the songs on the album for some reason
A.I.V What video did he have this song in?
???
I listen to this song when your on the Metro and your looking at the city and it just gives you a chill vibe that makes you feel awesome to live in an urban environment
Thanks Logic still listening to the album after 5 years. Almost forgot what real music sounded like for a min🙏🏽
Me and my girl went a road trip/vacation too downtown Chicago a few years back. The day we arrived to the city center on our way to the hotel and we could see the skyline of the big city I immediately played this song as we entered the "Metropolis". This song gave me the vibe I felt that day before I ever physically arrived there so I knew I had to jam it when I got there in person. It was gray and rainy and the trains were running above us and it was the most dope thing in the world. 100% true story
had goosebumps listening to this yesterday. might be my fav logic track
same i used to listen to this song atleast 5 times before moving onto the next song because i just love everything about is especially the vibe it gives off
one of his best son;g for sure. absolute classic.
This track is cold AF. Love listening to Logic in his early career
This Album is going to be a classic in years to come Complete F-I-R-E
Well done logic,Well deserved !
This is fucking beautiful. 4 years later, it’s still my favourite Logic song of all time.
just watching comments from 6 years ago, 5 years ago keeps reminding me of how far this man has come
Buy it. Break it. Roll it.light it. Smoke it. Inhale it. I'm gone.
Popshot Gaming BEST FEELING
"Okay, fuck affiliation, I'm that dude that did it on his own
These thoughts inside my mind
Be fuckin' with me when I'm all alone
I really like this girl she bad as fuck, why must I run away?
It feel like self assassination, I can't put this gun away"
These bars resonate with me so much right now...
1:19 to 1:31 is the best part of the song in my opinion.
god bless this dude logic man, his music only brings positive vibes to me
This song gives you that high you get when you meet someone basically click on all levels with. Ending conversation ive had that several times love being able to relive that with this song. Thank you Logic
This has to be one of his best tracks, the beat, the flow,I feel like he put a lot of thought into this
The whole album was dope as hell and it was cool that he sampled sing about me cuz that was imo the best song on GKMC
Sing about me flies under the radar for many ppl. But its the dopest song on the album with "Art of Peer-pressure" too
He didn't sample sing about me, I'm dying of thirst, he samples "use me" by bill withers. Sing about me is one of my favorite songs ever though. Kendrick's on another level with that one.
To this day this is still my favorite logic song the only thing that comes close is life is good on welcome to forever
This is what got me into logic and it's still my favorite song
This might be the most underrated Logic song.
Buy it, break it, roll it, light it, smoke it, inhale it, I'm gone.
Doin' what I gotta do, flyin' at this altitude,
Undo Move I look out the window like god damn
that's what I really do.
this song is perfect to listen to while doing homework
This is so incredible. I love every song on this album, instantly one of my favorite rappers.
Logic is still good now but he will never top this album.. its practically perfect
That robotic girl sample that plays with the snare, and then on 1 and 3, is such a perfect way to bring this beat together.
This is a dope song really cool chill very nostalgic
he really sampled "Sing About Me, I'm Dying Of Thirst" 😌
.
And Kendrick sampled "Bill Withers- Use me" 😌
One of the best on the album. So smooth.
“Everybody have there phases” Logic THAT’S FACTS!!!💯💯💯💯
I keep on coming back to this beautiful track... I remember the first time I heard this album on release date, I was just about to turn 12 at the time; I had been a huge Logic fan for about a year. The whole album was an instant 10 to me, but this song stuck out; the vibe, the atmosphere, the lyrics. To this day, every time I hear this song I am reminded of my time backpacking in Switzerland. The train at the end really accentuates the vibe, I can remember being at the top of the Matterhorn; looking down at the town of Zermatt with this track playing in my headphones. It gives me the excitement of being on top of the world...
To this day. Respect to everyone still here in 2019+. Rattpack til’ my pulse flat.
This song will never die🔥🔥
A rapper who actually raps , fucking 1 outta 10 these days
Yeah sucks doesn't it
can you rap... no bitch so stfu
kendrick, sing about me
Definitely his most underrated song
Didn’t realize it until now but this is really one of logics greatest songs of all time. Top 10 definitely
The fact they have a conversation about Tarantino films like source code , Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction
I'm Geeeekin! People don't even know about these classics, its so genuine and one of my
favorites with the female voices
