    I slay all day in flats and my attitude is good while I'm doing it because heels make me have a nasty attitude when my feet hurt.

    I once read a great tip from Tommy Hilfiger: If you wear heels, wear your hair down, and if you wear flats, wear your hair up to balance the look. I think it's good advice!

      @eizhowa 6 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      I look best when my hair is worn down (by a factor of a million), and Hilfiger could follow me around all day, all year round, and not succeed in convincing me to put my hair up once.

    Makes sense, but I question the view that I note is popular amongst stylists, that very long pointy toed shoes flat or heels, make you look taller etc. I have always believed that for a petite lady like myself 5.2 approx. wearing a very long, narrow, pointy toe shoe, makes me look like my feet are way ahead of me... in other words, they virtually make an entrance BEFORE I DO! ???

    I love this video, I work for an airline so most of the day I am running around from gates to counter and even though I would love to wear heels since I find them more put together my feet don't always agree. Lately I've been looking for cute elegant flats and your tips sure come handy, thank you Lauren!

    Your videos are highly inspirational. I love the outfits you create and the tips you give. I do have one question though. I am a 19 year old at college, on a budget, and working two jobs ( one where I'm in charge of kids in a casual setting, and the next where I'm a manager of a thrift shop and in charge of people who are 2-3 times my age). I have both jobs on the same days and need a style that is highly versatile and easy to change since I only have 20 minutes or less between jobs.
    What shoes, accessories, and/or basics would you recommend that are versatile and minimalistic?
    I could really use some advice. Thank you in advance.

    Hello! I got your channel as a recommendation when i asked if there was a channel similar to real men real style but for women. This is exactly what i was looking for, and more and I have a question.
    What would you be a good way for a girl just starting college to make her style a bit more sophisticated? I used to pull off the rock chick style really well in highschool but I want to give off a more mature vibe now and I feel like I outgrew red plaid skirts, ripped jeans and goth styled shirts. I personally dont like a lot of prints (animal prints, polka dots, flowers. I like stripes though) which makes it verynhard for me to find online suggestions that I actually like.
    Thank you and best regards from Bosnia :)

      Depending on what shade of pink (baby vs. fuschia) they have to be styled differently. I had a pair of pale pink ballet flats last year and they were really versatile in pulling together outfits with paler colours and softer textures. If you have brighter pink shoes I would wear them as a statement piece or as a contrasting colour or pattern with other pieces in your wardrobe. I hope this hdlps a bit :)

    I am new to your channel, and I am loving it! I have some questions:
    I am 27, a new professional, petite, and have a baby face, and want to know how to dress my age. I am a music therapist at a school for students aged 2-12. The school I work at encourages the staff to dress comfortably to make the school feel like a summer camp. Sometimes, parents, students, and other professionals don't take me seriously because of how young I look. How can I look my age in both dress-up and dress-down situations? I love boho, 90s, and tomboy styles. Is there a way I can stay authentic to my style while looking mature for both casual and dressy occasions? I want to enjoy my freedom to dress comfortable in my job especially as a creative arts therapist, but still be respected.

    I live in flat shoes mostly sneakers and yes its hard to look chic when you wear sneakers. But I get too much pain in heels especially high heels cant walk after 2 minutes. ballet flats make me feel short and chunky sneakers are best. I never wear pointy flats cause they make my feet look longer/bigger than normal and make me feel like big feet.

    You forgot the adorable loafers and ballerinas with low block heels! But I love you infinitely for rejecting flip flops and trashy sneakers and showing those beauties and teach people to dress appropriately. God bless you for reeducating people's style.
    How difficult is it to wear ballerinas, loafers or brogues instead of Nikes?
