Karate Island is one of the GOAT episodes of Spongebob, it's great you stuck with season 4. The yellow outfit is an homage to Bruce Lee movie Game of Death which Kill Bill was also paying homage to since Quentin Tarantino is a fan.
S4 is just as good as S2 and S3 and better than S1 overall even though the second half of the season is worse than the first one. I am always confused when someone claims that the first three seasons are the best, because S4 isnt the slightest bit weaker at all. The problems with the series started in S5. S4 was loved back when it was released, a few people these days just forgot how good S4 was.

Karate Island feels like missed potential to me. SpongeBob could have shown greater hysteria about becoming the King of Condos, and it would have been hilarious to me. It isn't a bad episode by any means though. I do enjoy the Whale of a Birthday episode for how wholesome the ending is. It's also satisfying that Mr. Krabs got screwed.
