The hearings should be lengthy, these are people who are not qualified for these jobs. They should look at the bigger picture not a speedy response. They are already in jeopardy at the midterms, some of them are just realizing the consequences.

The Heritage Foundation has been pretending to be a "conservative think tank" for decades. It would take so much work for legacy media to explain what they really are, in a way that most Americans would understand (and they would also have to be able to prove it, to avoid the inevitable lawsuits), but as the recent election proved, at least half the county wouldn't care once they were shown the full truth anyway. The commercial media gets more views, and makes more money, talking about who Don Jr. might be dating ... Be well!

We Need hearings. First, because it is the job of the Senate to ‘advise and consent’. Secondly, we the People, need to hear and see how any cabinet pick will answer questions from Senators. They are going to have to experience severe economic hardship, and even then, I'm doubtful they will come to their senses.

The only good thing Trump has achieved is effectively overturning the GOP's "Eleventh Commandment". I was hoping they would have imploded by now and been replaced by a genuinely conservative party rather than the dumpster fire that they are now (I'd prefer an actual left wing party as the replacement but that isn't just unrealistic, it is practically impossible). Sadly, that requires the voters to actually do some homework so I'm not sure that collapse will ever happen.
