Yeah, they did a tour with Wayne, Michael, Dennis (remaining original members), and Nick standing in for Fred and Rob, which is quite the impressive feat.
This is the best cover mainly because both Nick and Robert obviously have a true love for the MC5, even copying Sonic and Wayne Kramer's moves, like at 1:22 (from motor city is burning Beat Club), 1:28 (pure wayne lick), and 2:45 (from kick out the jams at wayne state university).
Yeah! I loved it, can't compare to the masters mc5, but the song is all about rock n roll, its always a nice tribute, like the rage against the machine cover aswell, live of course,
@lucasmoreira I died a little inside the instant I heard they'd be breaking up. The were one of the few modern bands who kept Rock and Roll alive and kicking!
Little wonder Entombed covered this as Nicke used to play drums in Entombed prior he formed Hellacopters & "Kick Out..." was in the last record he did with Entombed...
I thought it was an Epiphone Wilshire Tremotone. I guess this is a 1966 Model because the Re issue was later in 2011. The guitarrist was really good. R.I.P.
Because nothing could ever come close to beating the live version. Much would have been lost in a studio version. Besides I never wudda been able to be there if it was a studio version. Maybe you wudda have to have grown up with the 5 and been there to appreciate the live performances???
there cover is good but i rekon that the rage against the machine cover is better but i give them propps for giving 1 hell of a show its great ace 5/5 XD
@MOTORCITYROCKERZ You're outta line. Nicke Andersson can sing this song in any fucking way he wants. That's what it's all about. And besides, no one will ever be able to replicate Tyners vocals anyways. So what's your problem?
I love the Hellas and I love the MC5, props for covering a great song but I have to say I don't think Nicke's voice is a good match for this track. It's still OK just not up there with their usual bad assness. I would love to hear the Hellas play this with the lead singer of Baby Woodrose, now that would be fresh.
because velvet revolver is pure moddish, green day sucks, audioslave was just a simple record company production and the foo fighters just wanna know about playing in great arenas. Besides all that, The Hellacopters are te best band in history
🤘❤️🤘
Man, I love this band. I could listen to them forever. They have a vintage sound that is untouchable.
Yeah, they did a tour with Wayne, Michael, Dennis (remaining original members), and Nick standing in for Fred and Rob, which is quite the impressive feat.
Absolutely Mind Blowingly Fantastic :):):)
No words can describe how awesome this band is. I adore these men. Incredibly talented.
Kenny, Robert, je vous aime. ❤

Incredible sound...Pure Rock!!
Oh damn it... they rocks too much!!!
Nicke even went on to become the rythm guitarist for one of Mc5 Tours!
I tihnk this one's the best cover of this song I've heard. Nice surprise there for me :)
awesome!
Versão animalesca
Rest in Power Wayne Kramer!!!
Cool, have a good one.
viva Brazil
can't beat the original mc5,raw energy and fresh.
RIP Strings.
That feedback is insane.
Yeah! I loved it, can't compare to the masters mc5, but the song is all about rock n roll, its always a nice tribute, like the rage against the machine cover aswell, live of course,
Du ar valkommen!
@lucasmoreira I died a little inside the instant I heard they'd be breaking up. The were one of the few modern bands who kept Rock and Roll alive and kicking!
Props to the orginators, the MC5!
😍😍😍😍😍😍
These guys MUST get back together. I require it.
didnt nicke front what was left of the mc5 for a while as well?
Damn, these Swedes can rock!
The Hellacopters announced they would be breaking up after releasing their 7th full length album and touring Europe and Scandinavia one last time
Little wonder Entombed covered this as Nicke used to play drums in Entombed prior he formed Hellacopters & "Kick Out..." was in the last record he did with Entombed...
Woooooooow! Yeah!!, esta en el guitar hero WT jaja, xD
@MOTORCITYROCKERZ
u need to do some research on the Hellacopters, friend.
Love The Hellacopters , mind you the best cover of this Killer Classic goes to only one - Poison Idea , just the way it is
listen to the first album of PUSA, where not gonna make it is their track
Kramer that's how it's done!!!!!!!!!
MC 5
crestwood is the name of this epiphone type
I thought it was an Epiphone Wilshire Tremotone. I guess this is a 1966 Model because the Re issue was later in 2011. The guitarrist was really good. R.I.P.
MC5 are awesome. Pusa? No way. Watch the original MC5 and see how awesome the original is. Hellacopters do it well. They are a great band.
Heh, Entombed has a pretty good version of this song too. If not with a bit heavier sounds :)
i personally disagree, but so many bands have re-done this song, they put their own take on it. This is the best, i think
Carmen Miranda, vem cá
awesome band from Schweden. the cover wasn't bad, prefer the live video 72' of the Great MC5 in France. ROCK ON!
it´s time to kick out the jams, motherfuckers!
KOTJ is a friggen hard song to sing without wanting to pass out, but oh so rockin!
hellacopters fuckin best 2008 r0ck band
the best of cover of this song is Silverchair... by FAR
This is the RIGHT version :) its fast and furious and punk rocking enough to be as good as the original by THE MC5
they hammer like MC 5
Nicke should have used his Clandestine-era growl for this cover. Woulda been awesome.
This is cool. Never thought I'd see Nicke Andersson doing this type of music, but it sure is cool. Burns that whiny RATM cover to the ground.
did they write this song?
VWGTI MC5 1968 :-)
+VWGTI NO, THIS SONG IS FROM MC5.
WHY DIDNT THE MC5 MAKE THIS SONG THIS VERSION? AND PUT IT ON RECORD ! NOT RECORD IT LIVE , BUT PRODUCE IT WELL :) AS THE STUDIO VERSION
Because nothing could ever come close to beating the live version. Much would have been lost in a studio version. Besides I never wudda been able to be there if it was a studio version. Maybe you wudda have to have grown up with the 5 and been there to appreciate the live performances???
Sai de PORTUGAL
Pazzeschi
I -87 sa flyttade jag over hit.
there cover is good but i rekon that the rage against the machine cover is better but i give them propps for giving 1 hell of a show its great ace 5/5 XD
I love the Monster Magnet version.
@jetsonic69 Never as good as MC5. Never!
@MOTORCITYROCKERZ
You're outta line.
Nicke Andersson can sing this song in any fucking way he wants. That's what it's all about.
And besides, no one will ever be able to replicate Tyners vocals anyways. So what's your problem?
jeff buckley did a AMAZING and the best cover of this song
swedish
ratm's version is the best!!
Holy shit, this is as good as the original.
Pearl Jam?...are you serious...? They can't touch these guys with a 10 ft. pole...tooooooo hot 4'm man!
The beginning made me nervous (his really... unenthusiastic butchering of the KEY intro), but the cover was pretty good.
because velvet revolver is pure moddish, green day sucks, audioslave was just a simple record company production and the foo fighters just wanna know about playing in great arenas. Besides all that, The Hellacopters are te best band in history
Dang, He is like wooden compared to Kramer.
I guess you wouldn't.
this sounds like the chipmunks doing mc5, way too high pitched and fast
hm at the beginning they really suck, but at the end when everyone finally got the tempo its alright..
who the hell are the hellacopters
Sorry but are ya fuckin' kiddin' me???
this singer does not do this song justice.
WTF???!! Silverchair is a JOKE, ya got Creed in you're collection too???
It does NOT get any better than this in the rock world.
Motor 76
That absolutely sucked.....
Lame crowd.
