Love how fair he was to everyone in his answers, it's the press that likes to stir up drama so they don't have to do much work themselves. What i take from this presser is that if Daniil doesn't like you, you probably gave him a legit reason not to, also his french sounds amazing!

By far, presents himself as the most intelligent player in the post match interviews and communicates so well (in multiple languages). He is very transparent and provides interesting insights and perspectives. Seems to be willing to admit his mistakes. Not sure he always learns from them, but admitting them is half the battle.

IMHO Medvedev is seen as the most successful (and he is) of all the current Russian players, and possibly of former ones too. He was #1 last year, and every article had his name and face front and center. He has charisma, intelligence, and can be quite volatile on the court. He's a winner, and other fans don't like him beating their favorite players. Rublev is seen as this cute man/child. Sincere, likable and nonthreatening. Kachanov is just there. Good looking, quiet, somewhat successful not too controversial.

If you can’t serve for the match two times, if you can’t close the match having two match points, try to change something in your game and in your mindset. Great interview. Honest. Down to earth. And in multiple languages...wow...full respect. Played well and usually does win...Holger was just a bit stronger today. Calm and intelligent interview. 🥰😀

Reminds me a bit of Federer. Same honesty! His on-court post match interviews with Jim Courier are both honest and always amusing.

Medvedev studied physics and math at a specialized school before graduating early and enrolling in economics and commerce at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He later dropped out to focus on tennis.[13] He then switched to the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth, and Tourism, where he received his diploma as coach.[14] With his family he moved to Antibes, France where he trained at the tennis academy.[15] His parents have been living in France since then, as retirees.[12] As a result of living mostly overseas after turning 18, Medvedev can speak French and English fluently, besides his native Russian.[11] there you go ! (i'm quite sure there are things you know and i don't ;) )

😨😨 - Wicked! 😮😮 - but I like it! Very much like what the Romans used to do! They'd put the bad guy in a sack together with a rooster, a cat and a dog, made sure the sack was securely closed and locked and threw the lot into the Tiber.

I actually thought Daniil and Sacha were friends (maybe not Andre or Karen level of friends), guess I was wrong. Sacha took the biggest L on this one. Wish Daniil could get more points through clay season, or even a 250 or 500 title on clay for 1st time.

This is why medevedev is one of the best personalities on tour. Extremely down to earth and just says what his mind thinks. I guarantee you if this was Federer or Nadal were in a similar situation it would’ve been a 1 or 2 sentence answer.

Djokobitch always is sour and keeps saying how terrible he was, I found him quite abrupt and rude in his interview, even after winning 22GS, the guy can't take one loss, and behaves like a self righteous c**t!

He is a great competitor.Winning or losing is a part of game but he is good enough to admire his opponents and that bespeaks of a humble individual.
He is in some terrific form of late and definitely showing he has improved many a mile on clay.Looked every bit classy in 2nd set and I am sure he will keep on getting better cometh the next few clay tournaments.
