What did you love about the episode Cricket???? also here's the link to all my rusty videos in a playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLUfGm4QGG0Ts1z611dQbf9BZv2p0Yid_m.html
Hi Margie! I'm not sure if you know this but in the episode Dirt the time-stamp for the long dog is 1:04. I'm not sure if you noticed the long dog but I definitely didn't but the long dog has a very similar look to Judo and Wendy!
I love how in the part where the trio are running away from their mom, digger hops the hug fence, rusty hops the small fence, and dusty runs through the opening in the fense. Great Minds think alike at their respective ages 😂
Not just join. He's coming out alone, which means he's not an opener, implying he might be coming out at number 3, often the best batter on the team and possibly the Captain.
@@aussiejed1 yeah I've heard theories about that I'm not sure if they just didn't think to add in other players or if it was an intentional detail (I'm not super into sports so I wouldn't know) but it's still really cool
I was literally crying when I heard Anthony's voice. I was raised on wiggles. Its just so good I'd cry if they had the wiggles be part of the bluey universe.
I noticed it was told in the past tense [Bandit narration] also loved they kept the continuity of Bluey thinking Cricket is boring [Like in 'Horsey ride'] I first thought it would be all "Hey kids, go play outside/do sports" kinda preachy. I think it won Blueyfest as it's prob Parents who mostly voted and that was the freshest/most recent episode in there mind
I'm not really a sports person, but I did end up looking up the rules and watch a game through means I won't go on about. Actually looks pretty fun. Certainly different from Baseball, and it seems it's different culturally too.
Iol I am not Australian but I grew up watching the wiggles man hearing that one of the characters was voiced by Anthony takes me back to my childhood lol I wish bluey was around when I was a kid 👌
Fantastic episode. VERY reminiscent of those old sports movies with the narration. Ludo just keeps blowing stuff out of the park. I actually REALLY like TV Shop, I think that is the "funnest" episode of 3C, but it's hard to say this isn't the best
I've tried the hitting the golf ball with a stump, its actually very difficult When pat asked rusty if he was ok with swing, anyone who has played with a tennis ball knows they dont swing and you tape one half of the ball to make it swing And stripe with spin, well you can't really turn a tennis ball either .. unless if it hits the crack or rough which is what stripe did of course Anyway i reckon rusty should open the batting for australia now since we are trying to find an opener for the test team 😂
As someone who does not care for most sports it rankles and confuses me to see just how popular this episode is when I feel there are such bigger standouts (granted the bit with his sister is adorable and can make me tear up, but still.) I wish didn't bother me overall since it seems irrational to feel that way to me when it doesn't affect my favorite episodes in the slightest haha.
I'm not into sport at all, I think it's just a universal story of overcoming hardship and looking after your younger siblings (digger to rusty, rusty to dusty) etc which resonates a little more than the bluey family
@@ejasmith Hmm. That could be another layer to why I am troubled by it then, perhaps? Maybe I'm just not in the right place in my life for an underdog story. Like, I'm not saying anyone else is wrong for their feelings. I know it's just me. It's a totally fair and valid reason for people to like it and I would never argue against someone personally over that. I just don't feel the value of the lesson is as grounded as others and I prioritize those messages more. Again this is just me personally--which is ridiculous in the first place. I'm a 34 year old enby with the only kids in my life being two nephews and cousins I don't see enough. I have no reason to even have a negative opinion on something that has no bearing on my station at all. I am fully aware the story of a dream made real is never a bad thing to show anyone (even if at the moment I'm having an especially bad morning and it feels cruel.) Showing that dogged dedication might pay off is also valuable. I just find other episodes more practical, is all. I apologize for being negative in the face of hope. ...and for the terrible puns.
It's really a nice touch that the animators didn't show Rusty hitting the ball at the hot water tank, but just included it in the scene as a nod. If they had shown Rusty hitting the tank itself, kids of the "homo sapiens" species might be inspired to do the same. And thank you, Margie, for explaining why the tank was in the scene at all. I thought it was just there to show "This is the side of the house where the bedrooms are, so we know the thumps aren't disturbing anyone awake at midday."
Man, as someone who gets my Bluey via Disney+, I feel like this episode was very overhyped for me. I went into it not expecting it to be the best episode, as I had heard so often, and I felt validated. It’s certainly in my top 30, and my top 10 of season 3, but this is why I’m looking forward to a simultaneous release for The Sign (hopefully soon!)
Also, fun cricket related story: I was in a second hand shop in one of the smaller capitol cities of a USA state, browsing random items, when a Latino man picked up a cricket bat that somehow found it's way there. He asked, I think just as an interjection to the universe itself, in Spanish, what on Earth it was. I then tried my best to describe it in Spanish too, since I know just enough to do so. I think I described it as the bat for the baseball-like sport played in England and Australia and India. He thanked me and we went about our day.
I haven’t seen this episode yet because we got our disney plus on pause right now, but one thing is I used to watch the wiggles to DEATH when I was younger, and hearing his voice in bluey is just amazing
"Cricket" is a fantastic episode! The one quibble I have with it is that it's narrated by Bandit from an unexplained point of view. Who's he talking to, and when? He's not telling the story to Bluey, as I've seen suggested; she was there for the whole thing. Clearly it's some point in the future when Rusty is famous, and Bandit is telling someone an "I knew him when" story - this would be someone who presumably cares about cricket and knows who Rusty is. But it's never explained; this loose end is never tied up. However, is it possible that it may be, in the remaining S3 episodes? Could there be a flash-forward in which there's someone who might want to hear the story? Hmm ...
For me a watching this episode It kind of fell a little bit like the sound lapse movie is a baseball movie it’s on Disney+ and may be on Hulu but OK for that way for me all right episodes really good and your videos and episode help me understand a bit more about cricket so thank you for both you 😊💙💙💙💙💙💙
I’m just wondering, any updates on the sign? They haven’t released the day and date release yet, so I’m just wondering if it’s still happening in early 2024…
Would you say Cricket is the most "Australian" episode of Bluey, or is it still the one where Jack is waiting to be picked up from school (or something else)?
As a mum of adult boys, I cry every time I watch it. To me it is special because I think of how the sports my sons played made them into the men they are now.

I LOVED this episode!! The end scene is so emotional he got to join the test match it's so sweet and encouraging

I love bluey! I also love your channel! Thanks for posting intresting vids for us!
Glad you like them! Thanks so much for commenting too
This is probably my fav episode by far, it’s too good!! 😍😍
That’s so interesting that Anthony voiced for Rusty’s dad. This is why I love your channel, I always learn something new!
I watched the episode again to get to know what you meant. How they just sneaked a real life experiences into that episode is insane.
THE WIGGLES WERE MY CHILDHOOD I DIDN'T KNOW RUSTY'S DAD WAS VOICED BY ANTHONY OMG. The episode Cricket is now that much more special to me.

CRICKET is my favorite episode.
I haven’t seen this episode yet because we got our disney plus on pause right now, but one thing is I used to watch the wiggles to DEATH when I was younger, and hearing his voice in bluey is just amazing

This episode was everything! I cried several times during this one.
The music is super charming, I can’t describe it
Also Margie, how do you get your clips? On iview I’m unsure how to download it
I’m just wondering, any updates on the sign? They haven’t released the day and date release yet, so I’m just wondering if it’s still happening in early 2024…
After 32 minute of the release of this video at my local hour is 10 pm and 2 minutes
As a video idea, can you do a breakdown/review of the Percy Jackson series?
Dusty is sooo cute ❤
It's not in Disney plus Thailand yet
i think in season4 (wen it comes) we will found out more about rusty and his family.
