I bought a Lenovo M9 2 weeks ago, it was doscounted in Amazon, it came with 4 GB RAM and immediately updated itself to Android 13. I'm really happy with it.
We use this for our business and so far it's great! Easy to sign waivers on, sign up students, manage memberships. We would easily recommend this to other businesses looking to do basic tasks. No complaints here.
Ive owned a few budget tablets over the past 10 years. This 4gb/64gb is a budget gem imo. It will do everything you need and the game performance is actually quite good for the price point.
@@keigan90 yeah but you have to keep in mind this tablet is budget, if you want a good game performance you are looking in the wrong place, but it works fine for basic stuff like streaming
I bought the Tab M9 (4gb/64gb) for ~$105 on sale from Lenovo. It's great for browsing, media consumption + simple mobile work w/ a BT keyboard & slim stand. Love it!
I also run the _Shade Launcher_ + their plugin for the Google Discover feed, left of the home screen (makes it work closer to stock Android). I didn't like Lenovo's Media Center.

such an underrated channel. My birthday is in November, and my class is gonna be allowed to bring laptops to school in the 9th grade (february 2024), and my laptop rn is SO FREAKING HEAVYYY. Its a microsoft surface laptop 2, and thats gonna be really bad for my back when I walk the couple miles home from school (including all my textbooks for homework, my waterbottle and food.) So I've decided to ask for this tablet for my birthday because its really small, I can use it for schoolwork, and can run games reasonably well. WISH ME LUCK.
I bought this tablet, even though I have a Pro iPhone and I am tech guy. But I wanted it for reading books and stuff, very light usage, and found it a better option than the Kindle, which was more expensive. I know they are not the same thing, but for me made more sense having the android , for more than just reading (some youtube maybe).
I've got the 64 gb version and I'm extremely happy with it. I like the build quality, it's fast, bright screen, clear sound and not stuffed with unnecessary bloatware and apps.
I really appreciate this review. Currently shopping for an 8-9" tablet and without going Apple there are no options with flagship specs. I love my tech and have been on the Galaxy Tab S line for generations now but I need something that I can throw in a backpack or take off roading or camping and not worry about breaking a $800+ device. The Tab M9 seems like exactly what I need after watching this and I was able to find an open box model for $55.
I got mine (4/64) for just $99 I had it updated to Android T with RSA before initial setup (100% clean install) Surprisingly, it's actually good as entry level tablet. Do not expect anything fancy, but it just makes things done. No stuttering with Sling/Philo/Max; L1 on Netflix Speakers are really good and it's good as P12 (rich and loud) A side note: headphones jack DOES NOT support microphone
Nice review! I replaced my sluggish M7 with this one. The performance difference is night and day. Some people seem to be having issues with the Android 13 update, but I personally haven't had any so far. I mainly read books and watch some videos, and the M9 is perfect for those use cases.
Thanks for this!! I’m looking to replace my 7th gen Amazon kindle fire 8. I will mainly use it for reading from my library apps, kindle and book apps. Good to finally us avid readers showing up and commenting!!!
Ive been enjoying my A7 lite on Verizon for 2 years with no regrets. I just ordered the tab s9+ and decided to keep the A7 for its portability. But both are on verizon.
I ordered this tablet because, it's light and smaller to hold while reading/browsing in bed, It has a GPS, In it's size there are no android models faster. It's used for other stuff too. I did order the 4g 64g version. It was get this or the ipad mini and be stuck in Apples deliberate obsolescence. Do manufacturers not realize there is a market for smaller powerful tablets? Glad to get this one cheap but was willing to pay 3x for a significantly faster brighter oled beast.... well it might be more than 3 x as much. Overall, well done Lenovo. Decent review
I just bought this tablet for watching videos and to use my smartphone only for communication. It is really a good device for the price. I got it on sale for $100 and it came with a case and screen protector. I can also link it to my Lenovo Thinkpad as an external monitor 👍
I'll never pay more than 200$for a phone again, I borrowed a tablet from a friend and my oh my the experience of seeing everything bigger was so good. Tablet is the way to go when I'm home
I work long shifts so having a big phone is very handy. you can get pretty big budget phones that are well balanced hardware wise and will do most tasks so long as youre not a super demanding or power user. Xiaomi and their subsidiaries do some of the best bang for buck devices but I absolutely cant stand MiUi OS. I know they have recently reworked it - I have no experience with the rework but MiUi 11 on my device was just bloated as hell. Thankfully, ive since upgraded to a motorola and they use almost stock android for an OS so im very happy. So happy that i dont even care if i dont get the update to Android 13. apart from motorola's own software that they stick on the phone all the stuff i dont want like linkedin, spotify. facebook etc etc i can just remove. Its been an absolute revelation.
@@Rose.Of.Hizaki Ive got a Motorola g73 i paid 200€ for, works great with some complaints of random bugs happening every now and then. When im home i still want an iPad or something similar tho. 6.5 inch Screen is ok to watch movies and content on but its more immersive with a 10 inch Screen. Thats just me
@@6FootVampire Me too! G73 is awesome for the money!! I have a Lenovo M10 Plus at home but i wanted something more compact. Which is why i bought the M9. While i would probably appreciate a 2k or 4k screen. 10" at 1080p is still pretty good on the M10
I use it as a second display for my Laptop :) with spacedesk app wirelessly connected. For ERP Systems, and Spreedsheets, and Multitasks we need 2 displays. Except if we have a very huge one display to split the screen.
My ISP was offering this tablet for cheap, but the catch was (as there's always a catch) that you need to sign a contract for home internet and then it'd not be 9 euro for the tablet, but 36 and something euro per month for the next 24 months. It'd be cheaper to just buy a new tablet without this hassle. This is the main reason I wanted to watch this video - to hear a review of this product and maybe buy it or a similar one so thank you for making this review.

Excellent revue Best Buy got them both as we speak both $139.99...(Lenovo and Samsung Lite)...after your revue I'm thinking I do like this screen is a tad bigger at 9. Thnx.
Was contemplating between getting the larger Tab M11 or P12 or a Amazon Fire tablet but then came across the M9 with the 9” screen, a golidlocks size not too big, but still immersive just right for me. Very 😊😊😊😊😊😊 with my Tab M9-chillaxing streaming Disney+ on mine.
Thanks for a very realistic review. I was looking at the 32 gb version on Amazon and Best Buy, but noticed your screenshot of Lenovo's site and decided to go there. The 32 gb model was the same sale price, but I ordered the 64 gb model for $1 less ** $98.99!! **.
Great review, I wish he had covered the reading mode. I'm getting one of these because I'm fed up with my Amazon paperwhite. I love the screen but having to deal with the cloud is a pain, and I sideload all of my books and if it syncs it can mess up everything. I found google play books and see this is the way to go I can upload my own books and they'll sync across this device and my phone, and linux desktop. Free annotations that will be kept on my account etc. Freedom and a reduction of tech generated frustration that's what i'm looking for.
The new update sucks, the navigation is smaller now (triangle, circle, block) and it is slower to process now when hitting the block). And the new bar with apps next to the navigation is too close where you may hit an app instead of the navigation arrow or block. But it is a nice tablet bought directly from the company with more umph.
i really like your speaking.understandable for foreigners like me. only thing i hesitate is resolution. i bought tab a9plus but didn't like screen and will return it . if buy this one i think i may get upset again
I'm looking at this because I need something to download books onto and be able to just whip around without worry of destroying something I care about lol
Looking at this now because Barnes and Noble is introducing a 'Nook'-branded version as an 'upgrade' for the more-than-ten-year-old Nook tablets that they are EOL-ing this month. Less resolution than the 2012 Nook HD+, but more versatility (camera, etc.). So, shrug and sigh. With the 'upgrade' coupon code from B&N, it's $120.
This is an excellent product for the price. Very satisfied. However, even though it gives you the 1440p option on TH-cam... Yeah, it's not gonna actually do that. 😂1080p works fine. If you're looking for a good camera - THIS IS NOT IT (My main usage is for watching sports, TikTok, playing games and web browsing).
Thanks for the review! Looking a standard tablet for my 7 year old who just needs one for YT and gaming. Your review was great - I'll consider this one
This is a good one. The Lenovo M11 is great too. I got it open box at Best buy for like $100. It's a little faster with a better screen vs this. A little larger though. You can check my channel for the m11 review. The M11 and A9+ are bigger but very very good for the money. A 7 year old wouldn't need it. But my point is, sometimes you can find really good deals on them. The M11 is my go to recommendation for a young kid. Because it's pretty reasonably fast for the price and it's cheap, especially open box. But maybe not cheaper than this M9, and the M9 is smaller, and it's pretty good overall too
Last comment (mind the beers lol 🍻) ... except for gaming I prefer this tablet over my iPad mini. 9 inches is the perfect tablet size IMO (I own the 4/64 GB model).
Hi. Thanks for the review. I’m generally an Apple Tablet and iPhone user. However, I have a rather specific need for my next tab, and think the Apple IPad Mini might be overkill. I drive an old truck (Land Rover Defender) which has a basic head unit. I’m not looking to cut up the dash and stick a double din screen in, instead am looking for a tablet that can act as a screen and do only TWO things. Run Google Maps, and play Spotify. Hence why I think the Mini would be overkill, both financially and in use. I also don’t want the tablet to be Tesla sized. 9” is perfect. I saw this M9 in a shop today and noticed it ran GPS and Glonass. As such, given price point, size, robust build and brand, this could be perfect. But ONLY if the Google Maps app can be run, with real time directions etc, off the GPS and without the need for an eSIM or tethering. Do you know if this is possible? Thanks in advance.
Google maps can be downloaded, if it has gps. In Google maps it allows you to download offline maps. You may have to download multiple maps before you leave if you're driving long distances. But this sounds perfect. But you will need to share your phone's Wi-Fi or hotspot to do Spotify unless you download offline music
Thank you very much for an excellent review and for taking the trouble to cover a low-end tablet. I happened to be looking into getting it. I have two follow-on questions: 1. Now that we are in April 2024, is the Android 13 update confirmed? 2. What Android app do you recommend for reading ebooks in PDF and ePub? My primary use case for this tablet is to read technical books of letter/A4 size in PDF or ePub formats without the high cost of an iPad Mini 6 - that’s why I am looking for an Android tablet. Thank you in advance for your answers
First off, if you wonder about updates, you can check out their website here: support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht501098-android-upgrade-matrix or you can also search the tablet and search "specifications" at the end, and GSM arena normally keeps their website updated as far as software. Secondly, as far as books. It's such a hard things to say. Expectations can be different for everyone. Some people might want an AMOLED display, and have crazy high expectations for the display, and for those people, obviously, you want to spend no more than $500 or $600. But for someone that wants a smaller tablet, 8 to 10 inches, there's not a ton of options out there, you may just want something extremely light and portable. The M9 is pretty good for that, I think the a9+ or the S6 Lite 2024, those are both really good buys. The S6 Lite 2024 is smaller, 10.4 inches, and it comes with an s pen and has a better resolution vs the m9. The A9+ is basically the same thing with no s pen. I'd either go with something smaller like the M9, or the a9+ or the S6 Lite 2024.
Had the 2GB M8, for 2-3 years? 720P... but was awesome... still totally ok for streaming but the battery is and the dock is has a hard time charging it.. But it will be a great kitchen recipy device or a Home Assistant display... just bought the 4GB RAM M9 (not delivered yet) I think will last a couple of years also.. again mostly for streaming in the bedroom... Dolby Atmos is the thing I want when I close my eyes and just listen... and this tablet has that... maybe with 4GB ram it can do more and faster and so on... but I still... for me... mostly streaming so even 2GB is fine...
Thank you very much. I’m planning to buy this, your review is really helpful, I will just be using it for University to display PDF files in class, but I have one concern, if I installed Norton antivirus into it, will it affect the storage and performance?
I'm not sure I would recommend the antivirus. I don't think it will do much to help. Just being honest. Android already has built in protections. And the play store also protects against viruses. I just wouldn't install things outside the playstore and you should be fine.
Deciding between this or tab a9, need something small and cheap for the train journey so if it gets stolen i don't care. Just to watch videos so i don't strain my eyes on my phone.
Honestly, if it were me I'd probably want something a little bigger or more powerful. I'd want something as good as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE for example if possible. If you can't afford that maybe the Galaxy Tab A9+, or the Lenovo P12 or something. Even the Lenovo M11 would be a better fit in my opinion. This is more of a smaller lighter device to bring with you.
Honestly the cameras were okay. I just don't focus on cameras a lot with tablets. Outside of that it's been awhile. Wish I could remember more on the cameras
Does it have tap-to-wake or life-to-wake function? Also, since it's 9", is it noticeably bigger than an 8" tablet? I would prefer something portable since I already have an 11" tablet.
I'm not 100%, but I think it would have that feature. I've seen that on other lenovo tablets at a similar price. And size is really hard to say. I don't think it's much bigger than an 8" tablet, it is definitely a pretty big difference from 11". But each person and their needs are different. Maybe buy from a place with a good return policy and try it out?
I would use this as the interface for my drone without any problems. This channel is called "Android Digest" and this is an Android tablet so there shouldn't be anybody complaining
Great video practical regarding kids etc. I've got a bunch of high end phones here for my family and decent tablets this should be good for the $75 I paid for a monitor for my baby camera video setup and also to watch my dog when he's outside. Cheers liked and subbed
I recently bought a very similar Droid tablet, one that you mentioned, a Samsung A7 Lite. It was an open box 1/2 price deal that I couldn’t pass by! I was looking specifically for a low price tablet with GPS that I could use when sailing my small boat in the Chesapeake Bay. I wanted something small, because my Sunfish is VERY small! I wanted something cheap because even water proof tablet bags can leak. I oared mine with several navigation, compass, and regatta timer apps. So far it has served me very well! I think that is where these tablets really shine: performing special tasks at a fraction of what more specialized equipment would cost. And watching TH-cam videos, of course!
I agree, I bought this tablet as a display in my racing simulator. It shows the laptimes, it shows tyre temps and other stuff and allows me to quickly look something up. Works perfect for this. And as a bonus I can also take it off, and view a video or do something else with it.
Bought this tablet back in June. It came with Android 12 they just upgraded it to Android 13 and pretty much have ruined it. It was ok with 12 but with 13 it is just quirky now.
So, the basic 10.2" iPad dips as low as $249 several times a year. If the mini 6 did that, I would urge saving up and getting the mini when it goes on sale. But the mini stays firmly at a much higher $399 at its lowest sale price. That's where the M9 comes in - it kills at $99. However security isn't as tight as Apple. I'd save this for entertainment and news media and Wikipedia and social media, and use a Chromebook for banking.
@@AndroidDigest a ten minute reply doesn't compare to your hours of research, videography, and editing. A nice well thought out video with no shilling is a joy to find.
I got this tablet as a gift for finishing quran (if you are a Muslim you might understand) and I want to look through unique things that can be in this tab, and.. this video is pretty helpful!😊
M9 4gb or A9 4gb? I cant decide myself :/ For TH-cam, movies, light gaming (emulation mostly), Internet navigation, reading EPUB, mangas... is browsing on the net (chrome etc) faster on A9 or M9 ? A9 processor is more powerful but some peepz said with OneUI tablet is slower than (almost) pure Android on M9,
Hopefully other people could chime in a little more. I haven't been able to review the regular A9 yet. It's definitely a tough call. I do think Samsung is a little more reliable with updates. But I really really did enjoy the M9 and I always seem to enjoy that stock Android fuel, especially on a smaller device like this. It's a tough call and I don't think you can go that wrong either way
@@AndroidDigest After watching bunch of vids etc I will buy the Galaxy Tab A9 😊I prefer the smaller form factor for (notably) reading ebooks, faster charging 15w, more powerful specs and was always on Samsung (I have a S20FE 5G). Thanks for help buddy ! Nice vid btw
There are other sim card tray removers. Typically every device will come with one attached to the introduction manual or somewhere in the box. You could always go to an electronics store and ask them to pop it out
Yeah this is honestly one of the best. Lenovo literaly used this tablet to make a "nook" device for Barnes and Noble I believe, because it's an ideal use case for it. If you don't mind going up to an 11" device, the Lenovo Tab M11 is one of the cheaper Android tablets, or the Tab A9+ but it's a big size jump
@@AndroidDigest I thought the a9 plus was so slow but it may have been because it was the demo at Best Buy. I have a Samsung S9 ultra which I love but also wanted a smaller one just for putting in my purse to carry my books!
Well that's when we get into expectations. The M9 is even slower than the a9 Plus, and the A9 Plus is VERY fast compared to previous Samsung budget tablets. Like a lot faster. The 128GB version of it has 8GB of RAM too, on the A9+ so that helps even more. The S9 FE is a more expensive smaller tablet, that can be found on sale too, and then you can get it open box to get it even cheaper (same for the A9+.). The Lenovo M11 is slightly slower than the A9+ but it's close, but the same screen size and sometimes you find it even cheaper. I got the M11 for like $100 open box at best buy. But yeah, the M9 is the small one, the ALMOST pocketable tablet. And a couple inches in tablet world can mean a ton. So if you want a smaller one that you will just place a couple apps on your home screen and use it for light reading or some very light stuff it will work. But be warned, if you have an S9 Ultra, it will be a massive drop off performance wise. The only way not to feel it too bad would be to use something like the S9 FE. You'd still feel it but not bad at all. But if your expectations are in check, the A9+, the M11, or the M9 are all good for this. The M9 if you need something small. The M11 or A9+ if you are okay with 11" but want more performance. And the S9 FE if you have even more money and want even more
I just got the lenovo m9 yesterday. Obviously I've already spent hours messing with it. I have ebooks on the sd card, and just moved my images to the sd card. It's disappointing about not being able to move apps. But the storage is still good, free up space on the tablet for apps. I find that I HATE the light gray nav bar on the bottom of the screen that you can't change the color of and which never goes away. So I'll be reading in bed in the dark with this annoying as hell nav bar shining in my face. I didn't see it in your video. I saw another video that sometimes had it and sometimes didn't. I think it must be a new change. I mean a new STUPID AND ANNOYING change. What the hell? Really. The nav bar is not shown in any of the ads I've seen for the tablet. They are editing it out or maybe took their pictures before changing it. So if you know how to make it go away, or change the background to black or transparent, or make the recently used app icons go away, please let me know. Thanks. It was a good and honest review, I appreciate that. Going to check out what else is on your channel.
Thanks for checking out my other content. You'll see I pretty much review Android tablets (mostly), then I review some mid-range and budget phones. Occasionally I'll review a nice phone like the S24 Ultra. And on very very rare occasion I'll review a laptop like these new X Elite devices. But I primarily focus on android tablet content and mid-range/budget phones. Hopefully that helps. I try to respond to most comments, at least once, even if I can't continue on the thread, but I'm getting so many comments lately it is hard to keep up, but I'm trying! Thanks for the sub
It may handle it. But the tablets actual resolution is 720p. That's the actual resolution of the screen and what it looks like day to day using it. It may play a video in 1080p but it's still playing on a 720p screen
That's a tough call. The resolution on the Nokia is better, but it is also larger. If you want something lighter and smaller, we don't get many smaller tablets nowadays and the M9 is great for that. The Nokia is larger, has a better display resolution, but a bad processor. It's a toss up depending on what size of device you want. Smaller M9 or bigger Nokia.
I guess it depends on what size of tablet you want.. if you are good with a larger tablet the M10 is better. Mainly because of the full hd screen.. and you can get 4GB of RAM if you buy the correct model. But that may drive the price up even further. So if someone wants a smaller tablet I'd go with the M9. If they want a larger tablet. Or if they don't mind it. The M10 is the way to go
Watching this because my internet provider will give it for free if I sign a 24 mo contract along with 7E/mo discount to month to month service (15%) I guess I'll take it.
That's up to you. Just keep in mind you're looking at month to month service on the tablet for 2 years. This tablet may only be worth about $90 or $100 right now, so you're committing to 2 years of service which may be worth twice this tablet or more. Now that includes 2 years of service on it, but I wouldn't take something you won't use to get it free. BUT if you will use it, and see a big use case for it, it's not a bad option. Depending on the price of service
@AndroidDigest oh you understood incorrectly. It's my main home internet and cable service. Currently at 42 euros a month. It came down to 35 E plus this tablet that I don't need... for a 24mo contract. And my home is wired for that exact provider, meaning swap would incur prolly some wall cosmetic changes as well. Because competition is eager to rewire, but wouldn't paint my walls they'd surely screw up.
I appreciate it! Seriously the comment means a ton. I try my best to help people! On a side note. I've seen a few people upgraded this tablet after my video too Android 13. Which had a few issues. So keep that in mind. Minor detail I thought I'd mention.
You can use a capacitive stylus, which works similar to your finger. But it won't reject your hands if you are using your hands to scroll up and down on the screen. Since it doesn't have any extra stylus functionality
It does have Wi-Fi, yes. As far as cellular connections, that varies so much and depends on the country and who selling the device. Some countries don't offer cellular connection on some devices, some do. I would suggest you look at the title and see if it says Wi-Fi in the title, or if it says 5G or 4G LTE. If you don't see anything mentioning 4G LTE or 5G in the title, it's probably just at Wi-Fi only tablet
Hello, can you test the emulation please. I would like to know if ps2 works like Gran Trusimo 4 and GameCube like Luigi's Mansion. On the 4GB RAM version. Thank you in advance.
I mean I do think it's better than the Galaxy A7 Lite. And I really really love Samsung tablets. BUT I do think Samsung has more longevity and better software updates. And that will include the A7 Lite. And I'll recommend Samsung far more than Lenovo in most cases. By the way. Thanks for the sub!
@@AndroidDigest I share your opinion, Samsung has better longevity and security updates, for me personally, the tab a7 lite is more than enough for Internet browsing, answering emails, stuff like that
@@AndroidDigest I ended up trading in my A7 Lite when recently purchasing the M9. The A7 Lite I had was the 32GB version with 3 GB RAM and I went with the M9 64GB version with 4 GB RAM. With the M9s processor and RAM increase, I see an improvement in overall performance. As an aside, I also needed more storage room, and the OS will always use up some of it on any tablet. By the way, Samsung has started to release the Tab A9 line, but not in the U.S. just yet (at the time of this comment). It has the 8.7" screen as before, but its own set of improvements to the A7 Lite, and several storage and RAM options. I like seeing Samsung and Lenovo (and others) still letting you have an external memory card. It is great for using media storage, but just be careful what is kept there in case of loss, as it isn't as secure as the internal memory.

Sounds like it will fit that use case nicely
Just got mine today. Amazing! So worth it for the cost.
Glad you like it!
I've got the 64 gb version and I'm extremely happy with it. I like the build quality, it's fast, bright screen, clear sound and not stuffed with unnecessary bloatware and apps.
Not bad at all especially for the price
I really appreciate this review. Currently shopping for an 8-9" tablet and without going Apple there are no options with flagship specs. I love my tech and have been on the Galaxy Tab S line for generations now but I need something that I can throw in a backpack or take off roading or camping and not worry about breaking a $800+ device. The Tab M9 seems like exactly what I need after watching this and I was able to find an open box model for $55.
That's a CRAZY good deal, and if you don't like it? It's $55, you can always sell it or use it for something else.
1000x better than amazon tablets, they are the worst tablets ever
Agreed
Indeed... I would never buy a fire tablet again... I have the xiaomi pad 6 and I love it.
I got mine (4/64) for just $99
I had it updated to Android T with RSA before initial setup (100% clean install)
Surprisingly, it's actually good as entry level tablet.
Do not expect anything fancy, but it just makes things done.
No stuttering with Sling/Philo/Max; L1 on Netflix
Speakers are really good and it's good as P12 (rich and loud)
A side note: headphones jack DOES NOT support microphone
Exactly, good for the basics.
Means ? We cannot speak with people by connecting headcount and can only hear them ?
Nice review! I replaced my sluggish M7 with this one. The performance difference is night and day. Some people seem to be having issues with the Android 13 update, but I personally haven't had any so far. I mainly read books and watch some videos, and the M9 is perfect for those use cases.
how long does the battery last reading ebooks ?
@@TheOMGCarrie I honestly don't know. I typically read no more than an hour at once, and I naturally have plenty of battery left at that point.
Thanks for this!! I’m looking to replace my 7th gen Amazon kindle fire 8. I will mainly use it for reading from my library apps, kindle and book apps. Good to finally us avid readers showing up and commenting!!!
This is the review i really wanted. I also wamt to read my books and academic stuff
Ive been enjoying my A7 lite on Verizon for 2 years with no regrets. I just ordered the tab s9+ and decided to keep the A7 for its portability. But both are on verizon.
It's good to have a little of both just in case. This is basically another version of the A7 Lite, just a little faster.
Verizon?
How good is the a7? @@AndroidDigest
Glad you're enjoying it!
Thanks mate clear and simple review, nice work 👍
I'll never pay more than 200$for a phone again, I borrowed a tablet from a friend and my oh my the experience of seeing everything bigger was so good.
Agree
Was looking for something cheap to use on the couch solely for reading comics, this looks like a pretty decent option.
It is a good option for that.
I use it as a second display for my Laptop :) with spacedesk app wirelessly connected.
For ERP Systems, and Spreedsheets, and Multitasks we need 2 displays.
Except if we have a very huge one display to split the screen.
Awesome! Good ideas.
Thnx.
Thanks a great deal
Bought this one yesterday, and it's amazing way better than a Samsung tab
Glad you like it!
How is battery life?
Was contemplating between getting the larger Tab M11 or P12 or a Amazon Fire tablet but then came across the M9 with the 9” screen, a golidlocks size not too big, but still immersive just right for me. Very 😊😊😊😊😊😊 with my Tab M9-chillaxing streaming Disney+ on mine.
That's awesome. Hope you enjoy it. It's nice to get a small tablet. There's not many of these out there
Thanks for a very realistic review. I was looking at the 32 gb version on Amazon and Best Buy, but noticed your screenshot of Lenovo's site and decided to go there. The 32 gb model was the same sale price, but I ordered the 64 gb model for $1 less ** $98.99!! **.
Yep! Glad you got a great deal! Always best to check the sales!
Yea, this is great to be a little kindle/reader.
I hear you. Sucks that you're dealing with all that.
Fr! Someone finally says something!
Not only is the game performances not that good but now this update was trash
i really like your speaking.understandable for foreigners like me. only thing i hesitate is resolution. i bought tab a9plus but didn't like screen and will return it . if buy this one i think i may get upset again
Thanks so much. I agree. I do prefer a 1080p resolution.
@@AndroidDigest i bought an honor x8 3gb. its screen is better than galaxy tab9 plus. but processor of course lower than it. im happy with it
I no longer pay 1000 to apple..I got this M9 last month and it does all my needs..thx
Very good for the basics.
I'm looking at this because I need something to download books onto and be able to just whip around without worry of destroying something I care about lol
It's a great option for that
Looking at this now because Barnes and Noble is introducing a 'Nook'-branded version as an 'upgrade' for the more-than-ten-year-old Nook tablets that they are EOL-ing this month. Less resolution than the 2012 Nook HD+, but more versatility (camera, etc.). So, shrug and sigh. With the 'upgrade' coupon code from B&N, it's $120.
Interesting. It looks like it is a little bit different. But the same in most regards
But maybe not cheaper than this M9, and the M9 is smaller, and it's pretty good overall too
@AndroidDigest thank you so much for that! I will definitely check your video on the m11 and I'll have a look at that device. You've been so helpful
Last comment (mind the beers lol 🍻) ... except for gaming I prefer this tablet over my iPad mini. 9 inches is the perfect tablet size IMO (I own the 4/64 GB model).
Just ordered it for a home automation point / video camera hub. Guess it'll work nicely for that 😎
A good option for that
Waiting on mine now, $99 from Lenovo with a $10 automatic discount. 4/64. Resurrected the Nexus 7 gen 2. Just couldn't deal with Android 6.
Not a bad idea!
Bought this for my sons Christmas present, and it runs minecraft and roblox brilliantly.
Really? My son needs one to play Roblox and Minecraft does it run those game fine?
I just bought a refurbished tab s8 + and enjoy it but I can see getting this tablet for my youngest niece she is only 8 years old
Yeah this is pretty good for kids
How do you clear ram so its always running at the best performance?
You just have to pull up all your running apps and close out of them to free up RAM. Or just close apps you won't be using
@@AndroidDigest Thank you for your swift reply
I Picked the alldocube I play 50 mini pro for the compact design and it exceeded my expectations.
Good to know all the options out there.
Would you recommend either for children? I need a small tablet faster than an Amazon kids tablet. Thanks!!
Awesome! Enjoy it. There's something special about smaller tabs. They just don't come around much.
@@AndroidDigest Thank you very much ❤️
Excellent presentation, cobber. 🙂
right now a M9 is $99, and an M10 is around $130 two amazing options depending on your needs
Yeah that's a great deal
I want to use this with mobile hotspot 5g to stream netflix or use google maps while driving. my android 5g phone is hotspot source
That should work just fine
Deciding between this or tab a9, need something small and cheap for the train journey so if it gets stolen i don't care. Just to watch videos so i don't strain my eyes on my phone.
I would just get the cheapest one then. Both should work fine for your uses
How is this for school work? Specifically making docs and such
Honestly, if it were me I'd probably want something a little bigger or more powerful.
Thanks , helps, missed what camera it has, something like 5M?
Hi i am planning to buy a lenovo m9 tablet. Can it be expanded to 1tb through the microsd card ??
is this tablet good enough for using as navigation in cars, trucks?
I would use this as the interface for my drone without any problems. This channel is called "Android Digest" and this is an Android tablet so there shouldn't be anybody complaining
Well yeah, but you know how a lot of people love their $1,000 phones.
Great video practical regarding kids etc. I've got a bunch of high end phones here for my family and decent tablets this should be good for the $75 I paid for a monitor for my baby camera video setup and also to watch my dog when he's outside. Cheers liked and subbed
That would be GREAT for that, good idea to use for a baby monitor too!
Is this okay for kids? Like just for watching YT and Netflix?
It's not bad to get something small like that for the basics
I agree, I bought this tablet as a display in my racing simulator. It shows the laptimes, it shows tyre temps and other stuff and allows me to quickly look something up. Works perfect for this. And as a bonus I can also take it off, and view a video or do something else with it.
Should I buy this tablet or lenevo tab m10 3rd gen for my studies?
The m10 3rd gen would be faster with a better screen. But also bigger. Which you may like
Hi I just want to buy this for watching Netflix , or should I consider the M10 then thx
I'd consider the M10 or the A9+. the M9 is good but a lower resolution.
Bought this tablet back in June. It came with Android 12 they just upgraded it to Android 13 and pretty much have ruined it. It was ok with 12 but with 13 it is just quirky now.
Yeah I did hear there are some Android 13 issues that popped up. That came after my review
so you can use a sd of 32Gb? Total, with the tablet memory, you can reach 64Gb?
You can use a much bigger SD card than that. You can get a 256 GB SD card if you want

Haven't been able to try it, so unsure. Hopefully someone else has played it and can respond.

Anyone know what the maximum SD card limit is? The website says 64GB but the A7 Lite is 1TB
It should be 1 TB. I have a 256GB SD card that works fine in my tablet (64GB internal storage and 4 GB RAM).
You got me! I am decided.... i know what to do
Hope you enjoy it
Can it run gamecube emu.
Yes!! I just want open my kindle app or library apps to read on!!

absolutely
So, the basic 10.2" iPad dips as low as $249 several times a year. If the mini 6 did that, I would urge saving up and getting the mini when it goes on sale. But the mini stays firmly at a much higher $399 at its lowest sale price. That's where the M9 comes in - it kills at $99.
However security isn't as tight as Apple. I'd save this for entertainment and news media and Wikipedia and social media, and use a Chromebook for banking.
You got some solid thoughts and a pretty good point

Is this the best small android tablet to read on or is there another?
And the S9 FE if you have even more money and want even more
@AndroidDigest wow this is so helpful!.. thanks so much!... It's really going to just be to use like a kindle, so I guess speed doesn't really matter.
Recently it got a update with a taskbar, but this taskbar is overlaying buttons on my apps and its getting annoying, but samsung gets to disable it.
Hopefully they fix it!
720p? This tablet (at least the 4GB version) handles 1080p no problems.
It may handle it. But the tablets actual resolution is 720p. That's the actual resolution of the screen and what it looks like day to day using it. It may play a video in 1080p but it's still playing on a 720p screen
This or Nokia t20? For reading
This (4gb version) or the M10 plus (3rd gen)? Price difference is currently $30.
The M10 is the way to go
@@AndroidDigest thank you!
Watching this because my internet provider will give it for free if I sign a 24 mo contract along with 7E/mo discount to month to month service (15%)
I guess I'll take it.
This is a version Lenovo M9 with 3GB or 4GB? A version with 4GB RAM is nice for a Roblox Game Play?
You'll be fine with either, Roblox isn't particularly demanding.
What about the 3gb ram sale price is 86$
That's a great deal
Thanks, dude. You’ve become my #1 go to reviewer. Comprehensive, honest, knowledgeable and I appreciate the comparisons to comparable products.
I appreciate it! Seriously the comment means a ton. I try my best to help people! On a side note. I've seen a few people upgraded this tablet after my video too Android 13. Which had a few issues. So keep that in mind. Minor detail I thought I'd mention.
I’m now leaning towards buying the m9 with 4ram 64gb rather than the 3rd gen m10 . I think , for my needs, it’s a better value. Waddya think, Zach ?

Thanks a lot! Appreciate all the love. Yeah Samsung has a lot of great products. Apple does too. But I prefer Android over here!

You can use a capacitive stylus, which works similar to your finger. But it won't reject your hands if you are using your hands to scroll up and down on the screen. Since it doesn't have any extra stylus functionality
Can It play Diablo Immortal yes or no .
I don't think so. But haven't tested it.
Is it wifi
It does have Wi-Fi, yes. As far as cellular connections, that varies so much and depends on the country and who selling the device. Some countries don't offer cellular connection on some devices, some do. I would suggest you look at the title and see if it says Wi-Fi in the title, or if it says 5G or 4G LTE. If you don't see anything mentioning 4G LTE or 5G in the title, it's probably just at Wi-Fi only tablet
👍
Found it for 79.99 new at best buy woot
Great deal
Hello, can you test the emulation please. I would like to know if ps2 works like Gran Trusimo 4 and GameCube like Luigi's Mansion. On the 4GB RAM version. Thank you in advance.
That tablet lags in the Home Screen
Is it good for Roblox?
I have both the A7 lite and this M9 and let me tell you the M9 blows away the Samsung a7.
Yeah I think so too. Way better than the A7 Lite.
Lenovo m9 is better and cheaper than Smasungs crappy A8 tab
Yeah I think it's a little better!
"those people" are consumer drones.
Many are
The lenovo is not as good as the Samsung
