Lalo Schifrin is so talented. I love the track titled Intrigue. Where Christopher Lee/Rochefort(?) is riding with Faye Dunaway/Milady in her coach returning from England and is informing her that the four Musketeers cannot be closer than Paris when the scene cuts away and you see four individual riders riding hard a half mile ahead of them. Powerful mix of camera, screenplay and musical soundtrack
The 3 & 4 Musketeer movies from this era are some of my all time favorites .....brings back memories of growing up and a much more innocent time and when movies were not overdone / commercial like now .....plus the cast was top notch. That talent pool you will most likely never see again ...... Intrigue is pure genius .....the scene of the 4 riding hard into the village with that score is indeed a great mix of classic cinema and storytelling ..... Get the movie(s) on Blu Ray - you won't be disappointed and the behind the scenes interviews with Reed is wonderful .....can't believe he died over 15 years ago .....so sad & a great loss ! I have both CD's from this movie that include The Eagle has Landed and the other with these bonus tracks . If you can find them - get them ;-)
