Dear Melted Dark: An even braver soul would blast the oven for many minutes, unnecessarily channeling the gas to and from where -- who knows? With little thought of how the gas pipe is at that time, along with the constant running of the meter. ------------- My point is that the microwave is just fine: Rotate, check and turn them over.
I'm from the UK & tried this but was Disappointed with the Results from a Taste Perspective!,I Faired better by Shallow Frying some, I Put them in a Shallow pan Containing Lard on a Low Heat & Put Butter on Top to Melt in also with Salt & Pepper, after Turning Several Times at Low Heat I Finished them off at High Heat to Make them Golden Brown & Enjoyed them on Bread with Brown Sauce, Delicious!.
@@JeffisWinning LOL... Hi Jeff, i've just stumbled across your video. I love the convenience of microwave cooking, but i'm like you and rebel against the "normal cooking instructions". In the UK we call them Fish Fingers, and i too microwave them. Sometimes in the oven they can get overcooked quite easily. This can make the breadcrumb coating hard on the gums when chewing. However there's no worries when cooked in the microwave. I usually microwave 10 at a time from frozen, for 3 minutes 30 seconds on full power, in my 800 watt microwave. And even though i say so myself, they always turn out perfect, and piping hot too. I don't think you'll have tried them, but in the UK, we like to make Fish Finger sandwiches. Just grab some soft white sliced bread, spread thickly with butter. Splash a little vinegar or ketchup on the Fish Fingers, with a sprinkling of salt. Then place two Fish Fingers on the buttered bread and fold in half, and enjoy. It tastes a lot better than you'd imagine. Cheers Jeff. th-cam.com/video/AYIhB_lzHsE/w-d-xo.html
