Please note at the time of this recording the pack was on its release build from Thursday 14th January 2021. Some of the highlighted issues may of since been addressed.
We take a look at the all new Class 411/412 EMU Pack from Armstrong Powerhouse. This very in depth package boasts of a lot of features. This video aims to highlight the majority of things along the way. However please note i do not have any experience of this class from days gone by.

The paddle was put in the second mans window as a visual indicator to other drivers the unit was screwed down (handbrake applied). At Waterloo this was always done at the London end on the blocks so another driver picking the unit up would need to check on their way past to the country end cab.

Hey Tom, nice video. Regarding the wooden paddles, They should be placed across the secondmans window on slammers or Thumpers etc to indicate the handbrake had been applied. Also on electric powered units, the paddle is used to lever the collector shoe off the juice and then be wedged under to keep them off and isolated.

the issue isnt that some of the inter car cables are missing, its that the TS vehicle on the 411s is the wrong way round in the consits, if you look on the other side youll see the missing cables, its a simple fix. the other issue that i havent seen anyone pick up on yet is that if you closly look at the older mark 4 motor bogies (the ones with leaf springs that look like BR1s) the wheels are actually offset from the axle boxes with both axles being offset towards the rear which means the brake blocks behind the wheels are merging through them and theres a massive gap on the other side, that issue gets me more because once youve seen it you cant unsee it. its an exquisite pack other than those 2 relativly small issues

The windows hoppers open depending on season and weather. So a sunny summers day has a lot open whereas a wet winters day has very few open

@@TrainSim_TV finally got around to continuing watching this video. Regarding the lack of passengers inside, Jordi was in a call with Alan on stream the other night and went into many reasons why there are no passengers in the train. One of the main ones was it would add weeks / months to development to get realistic looking passengers which increases costs, as well as what era do you set passengers in, how many and what do they wear - eg. full of commuters on a Sunday afternoon looks weird but then family day trippers in a morning rush hour looks equally odd. If you have the time, it’s worth watching the stream replay as it gives quite a bit of development insight!

@@geekrulz1 indeed that was the unofficial practice all the drivers did. If it was screwed down, the paddle went in the second mans window
