      Intriguing, I’d say this is bigger as they’re a better team - but I guess given the recent history the Sarries one was bigger mentally?

      @@TP1988Sarries is our biggest rival and they have got the better of us a lot recently so it means alot to quins fans to beat them. This game was great to win but i don’t think there is any inherent rivalry with glasgow.

    Glasgow were very poor tonight. They surrendered the initiative from the start and never really got their game going. Overall Quins were excellent particularly in the first 30 minutes though why Glasgow decided to kick short to them in their own half given the Quins counter attack is a bit mystifying. There were flashes from Glasgow but far too inaccurate and the line out was a catastrophe. On balance as a GW fan I will not complain. We were terrible. As a caveat I will just mention the Quins final try that killed the game. I have never seen a more blatant in from the side in my life. Should / could have been penalty to Glasgow and yellow card to Harlequins. In fairness we would most likely have butchered the 5 metre line out anyway! I thought some of the refereeing in the Bath v Leinster game was atrocious but that decision was right up there! 😳🤪😋🫣

    Good win for Quins - bodes well. James chilslom is one of the few players with a bit of dog about him - hence why they need to shoehorn him into the team at the moment.
    Must win next weekend in Prem at home vs Northampton to build confidence before the break. But realistically for Quins is they might snatch an away win in R16, and then likely to hit a European powerhouse (best chance they draw a English team in QFs).

  • @scottvalentine86
    @scottvalentine86 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

    Quins were immense and looked like a team desperate to get points to keep their European dreams alive. Glasgow looked a team who'd already qualified for a home R16 and most players with one eye now on the 6N. Looked a shell of themselves and barely any intensity compared to previous games, could cost them with seedings later in the tournament

    Not blaming the ref or saying it impacted the result. Not even saying this to question this performance from him, but the ref from that game has got the England Scotland game at Twickenham and he really doesn’t look up to that at all and I fear we could have a great game ruined by the ref

      @ I’m not questioning “this” performance in saying it makes a difference, I don’t think backwards looking at refs is worth it. It’s about looking forward and saying should he be involved in massive games. Maybe, didn’t word it right. But basically just saying I don’t think it’s worth arguing about how much this performance impacted the result, as it doesn’t matter. They won’t change it. The major difference with Quins in this game was their attitude they didn't play great Rugby for large parts however they really fronted up and put Glasgow off their game , the other reason for the outcome was one team had to win to Qualify while the other didn't and at this level it makes a difference.

    Quins definitely worth the win and probably disappointed to not get the bonus point. A very uncharacteristic Glasgow performance, lacked cohesion at times and plagued by errors throughout. I had high hopes for this game, now that the great Glasgow injury crisis seemed to have abated, but that was so disappointing and far below the standard. I wasn't too concerned about Sione's absence, however his ability to lift the team's spirit when things aren't going to plan could well have been handy at times there (not to mention his playing ability). I won't lie, the ref not spotting the blatant side entry to win the turnover leading to Quins' third try is a bit concerning.

  • @iaincowieson869

    Harlequins defended better than I've seen them do all season. Glasgow made more mistakes than they have done all season. I was at the game and hoping for a ManUv Sou style turn around in the last 20. But fair play to Quins they didn't give Glasgow an inch. And then handling errors and a poor lineout meant that there was no way to win. Bottom line - if this is Glasgow's worst game of the season this was the best time to do it. We were always guaranteed 2nd place and even a win would have left us relying on a very flakey Sale team to top the group. I'll take a home round of 16 and then see how the draw lands. A place in the last 4 is the target and now we will have to win that QF away if we can get there. But lets face it Glasgow have proved that they can win big games away from home!!

    Warriors were too passive, much like they were in the Edinburgh match. Harlequins deserved the win, they were the better team, but the ref was wrong too often, he didn't change the outcome but he made the score flatter Quins, just a bit.

    First up the ref was Pish. This is a Mack Hansen event if the ref is bad you should be able to say so. However congrats to Quins they wanted to win this. Disappointed for Glasgow one of their off performances. I don’t think I’ve seen Glasgow miss so many tackles this season. I did wonder last week if Glasgow would go full on for it as they had qualified for a home seeding.
    Well done Quins you deserved the win.

      Bit silly not to have gone for it (if that’s what they did) because that result now means they will be away to Leinster in the quarter finals, when they could have had a QF at Scotstoun against somebody like Saracens instead.

      @ you might not be wrong. Having a badly beaten Leicester in Glasgow could be a win that would set up Leinster a very big ask. However the Warriors did it the hard way last year. Personally I think the Warriors will concentrate on the league. The injury to Scott Cummings looked bad and I think he is a vastly under rated player for Glasgow and Scotland.
