The fact that the guy played the cello on his back just like Angus would play his guitar during a concert is the best.
What Angus didn't steal that from Marty McFly?
'I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet ... but your kids are gonna love it.' Back to the Future.
🤣
Exactly! Inside joke...lol!
😂😂😂right on
Back to the future
well said😂💃💃☘️☘️
Lol their kids are being scolded for loving it right there!
That is literally what I think of every single time I see this music video 😂
I'm so glad that people are rediscovering some of these older videos, 2Cellos have been on a lot of people's reaction lists recently, and they definitely deserve the attention.
2Cellos “The Trooper” (Iron Maiden cover), also amazing! Thank you! 🤘
My personal favorite
These guys are actually classically trained. They used to compete in European orchestral events.
The ending is an homage to Michael J Fox playing guitar in back to the Future!
And also to Angus Young because Angus used to do that all the time
Angus used to do it before the movie even came out
They are just as crazy live, just the two of them and a drummer, had the chance to see them in concert, and it was EPIC. They were fairly heavy on the AC/DC songs, but it was in Perth (Australia), the home of Bonn Scott.
Hello from Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦,, they have a whole concert, just type in 2 cellos full concert, your in for a treat,😊
Next up, 2Cellos with Emil and Dariel. You won't be sorry.
Emil and Dariel were taught classically by their grandfather. Went on America's Got Talent in 2014.
Finally!!! A physical representation of my brain at 3:00 in the morning... wow!!! ❤
These guys are so amazing!! I love how they start this video!!😂😂😂. So awesome! These guys have crazy talent!!😂🔥🔥🔥
Glad you did this one !!❤❤
First time I saw this was years and years ago and there wasn't any title to it or anything, just the video on its own.
So we had absolutely no idea they were gonna break into Thunderstruck AT ALL..... and they they broke out into it, it blew my mind completely...... was left awe struck by how cool the video was.
This will go down as an all-time classic. :)
One word comment gets it. TALENT!!!
This is one of their best. I would think that was an expensive rock video to shoot with all the attire of the "audience." LOL
Great reaction guys.
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
Loving the reaction! 2CELLOS is a lot of fun to react to. I recommend Hysteria and They Don't Care About Us. Those are 2 of my top 3, along with Live and Let Die(feat. Lang Lang)!
The guy on the left is doing a pretty good imitation of the Angus Young head bob.
Awesome! "Trooper" next, maybe? You won't be disappointed.
Their official video is hilarious.
I think they need to be introduced to Iron Maiden’s Trooper first. They might not know the song if they heard 2cellos version first
I'm pretty sure they are familiar with it. I could be wrong but I seem to remember them talking about it once. Thanks for the reply. @@MP-od1zz
One of my favorite Classical group is the 2Cellos. I discovered this duet in 2016 and I have been a fan ever since. I have 3 albums. All the albums are EXCELLENT!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉This song was their first classical hit from their first album which is all acoustic...no overlays of tracks just these two amazing musicians. They are the latest classical artists in Classical music genre. The other latest artists is Black Violin a duet of two African American violinists playing classical music with Hip Hop/Rap and R & B. 🎉🎉🎉
The cello can be set up as a C clef instrument. Not a lot of musical instruments can live in the middle clef-- but one of them happens to be the human voice.
The cello can be played in the same key as a vocalist, which is one reason this instrument works so well in rock interpretations.
The first time I watched this video I laughed hysterically, it's just so wild. What a concept, I mean Victorian England and these people are just like wtf is going on??? The headbanging 😂😂😂😂😂
2Cellos is incredible. Check out Shape of My Heart sometime (and Sting's original if you haven't already).
These guys rock
Its fun to pay close attention to the kids in the audience. Getting silently chided for enjoying it.
For your next bit of someone playing an instrument in a way it was never intended, check out Leo P. As a life-long saxophone player and musician, the guy is a huge inspiration to try new ways of playing.
He's been in the groups 2Saxxy, Too Many Zooz, Lucky Chops and has a ton of stuff out under his own name too.
you should se the live from 2 cellos 🥰 it´s awsome
"The Trooper Overture" official video will amaze you.
Would love to see you react to their version of Iron Maiden's - The Trooper.
Check out the Live version! That's the way they play it! 🤣
9:01 they’ve been
*THUNDERSTRUCK*
Highway to Hell with Steve Vai is their best of all.
Well... audience was THUNDERSTRUCK!;)
00:05 - 🥱...Thanks, Phil......
one of the many artists that did not win on America's Got Talent but went on to do good such as Angelina Jordan(though she won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8) and Lindsey Stirling ( violinist/dancer). There are many singers that appeared on talent shows , on Star Search Justin Timberlake , Usher and Beyonce none won their season . On American Idol Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson lost but went on to do very well.
Yep guys the costumes are definitely 'Tudor Style' 🤣
The bows use horsehair and designed to fray under hard use.
There is an American group of the same vane, called WELL STRUNG! They are a string quartette that besides playing both playing classical and modern pop music, but they sing too! They are 4 gay men from New York, not that that matters! VERY ENTERTAINING!
“Tudor times” Don’t mind me, I’ll just be curled up in the fetal position crying for a few minutes.
I love seeing different takes on songs like this. It's why I like Weird Al and also Hayseed Dixie. (via ReacTrax)
You didn't notice the snare drum parts in there to add to the percussive playing sections.
Really cool reaction.
But noticed you have yet to experience another two great bands! One created the song and then another performing a most original and saucy cover.
And you guys should do the original directly followed by cover!
Check out White Stripes performing Seven Nation Army... you will be blown away!!!
Then check out Post Modern Jukebox and their cover of Seven Nation Army !!!
You will be blown away again.
Both songs stand alone on their own but are so delicious to experience together!!
Enjoy yourselves!🎉🎉
Here's white stripes

And here's post modern Jukebox
th-cam.com/video/sB6HY8r983c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WdBzhFsDiJ6k0Hms
These are absolutely brilliant!
The original and the cover
I think you guys should check out the flopotron, a technological band made out of various old school computer components.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction. Unfortunately, they have gone their separate ways since a couple of years back. Stjepan Hauser will soon do a US tour. With a similar concept. It goes in the direction of Latin music. But there is also some classic stuff there too.
LUKA SULIC He has just started releasing his own music which is absolutely fantastic. Something he has wanted to do for a long time.
But they have also said that they will see if their paths cross again in the future.
I honestly think if Mozart had come up with this back in the day it would have been loved then as well
No les conozco demasiado pero me encantan y está claro que hay arreglos en el estudio para la grabación pero es muy fácil encontrar actuaciones en directo donde tienen un baterista con ellos y posiblemente algún músico más pero el peso del espectáculo se basa en ellos
I think Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart would have loved these guys.
You should listen to The Red Hot Chilli Pipers Playing Thunderstruck
they have another ac/dc (highway to hell} with steve vie.
Apocalyptica 😅 4 cellos and sooo heavy lol
2 cellos are super cute but Apocalyptica sorry boys from 2 cellos❤❤❤😅
Pretty sure that the audience has been "set up" to react like that for the video?
The bows are made from horse hair. That's why the split
Check out there cover of Highway to Hell.....
Kids please, do not bang your bow to the cords.
Ok.
BOOOOOOO
If you liked this you'll love their version of "The Trooper".
Cello player here. The bow hair fraying like that is something that happens, but not generally that much that quickly. I suspect they had bows prepared to get that effect. Probably had just been rehaired, and maybe it was done intentionally a bit loose so the hair would pull out easier. Something like that anyway. I can say I would not perform like that using a bow that I liked, lol. They were smacking them around hard enough I'd be afraid it would break. Although there are composite materials used for bows these days that are a lot stronger and more flexible than plain wood.
These guys are legit though, very good musicians. I really wish back in the 80's when I was in college orchestra by day, and listening to rock and metal by night, that I had come up with this idea. Pure genius IMO.
My guess is that they use old bows, that might already have some lose bow hairs or they cut some of them in half, for the videos.
I saw them live more than once and you can see how bow shredds thru songs. They play aggressively, but when they play classical music bows dont shredd, at least not fast as they shredd when they play modern music. I was at 6 different live performances in 3 different countries, they start with whole bow, by the end of third song bow is dead literally...
So not bad ass Sellists (I know Cellists) but actors giving us pleasure, damn them! Let them eat cake!
@@boredutopiayeahh but they have a bin full of bows.
I believe the phrase you were looking for is "they are shredding their bows."
I kept thinking 'rosin up the bow' I think from devil went down to georgia...
rosin I think is like a honey, a damn lube, damn it I don't know what it's made of anti-devil shit!
The "Strings" that are breaking is actually horse hair. The use of horsehair on bows dates back centuries; its unique properties have yet to be replicated by any man-made alternative.
Horse hair is definitely unique!
the horse hair for the bows is incredibly expensive. It can't be fixed once broken but has to be exchanged.
What I really like in this video, other than the performance, is the reactions of the audience. The adults are in various states of disbelief, disgust, and horror, while the kids are rocking out.
One thing I love is that in the audience, the kids are really getting into it and enjoying the music, and the adults are admonishing them.
Best Straightmen ever!
Their fingering is amazing considering how heavy cellp strings are.
Two dudes from Croatia
Greetings from Croatia 🇭🇷🇭🇷🔥🔥
Ho dude, I am no longer Nato, I am now your friend!
Not really! Luka Šulić is from Slovenia.
No reactors ever notice the few kids in audience, bored at first, then they begin to get totally into it as their parents try to calm them. Like the girl almost directly center scene when they show the audience.
Totally wish folks would notice that...very much the 50s vibe of parents poo-pooing the rock and roll wave that the kids were getting into...which has continued through each evolution of the genre.
@@JamesBrown-wo2qj Well... kind of. Yes, historically it has been the "norm" for parents to think that the music their kids listen to is just noise, because it's generally been louder and faster than they were used to. However, I have found myself in the odd situation (and I think I'm probably in the first generation to experience this) that I find much of the stuff my son listens to incredibly _boring._ I recall a situation a few years ago where he and I were cooking in the kitchen, and he put one of his playlists on the speakers we have in there. After about 15 minutes I asked him "How _long_ is this song?" and he told me this was the third song on the list. I genuinely had not noticed the tracks changing, because they all sounded exactly alike. Monotone, minimalistic, _boring._
I suppose it's in part because we have actually reached a point where music can't really get any harder and wilder without actually devolving into mere noise, so it is diversifying in other directions. Of course it has always diversified in many directions at once, but the drive to push the boundaries for how hard, fast and loud it can go has probably diminished somewhat over the past 20 years.
The best cover of this song is by the Danish bluegrass band Steve 'N' Seagulls. It is a great song to react to.
I think you find they are from Finland. But yes I agree, there version is off the charts good
Finnish, but great, yes.
When the song is over and everyone is in total awe
Hence they were "Thunder Struck"
I absolutely love this version by them!!
My favorite two cellos performance is "the trooper overture".
I would be so pleased if AC/DC invited 2Cellos to go on tour with them some time!
Note to Phil...Sam ALWAYS looks classy! 😏 lol
Another fun one to watch is 2 Cellos with Stevie Vai playing AC/DC Highway to Hell.
Awesome vid!
Seeing Steve Vai playing with them is awesome!! Once again a fantastic vid, Seeing someone like Steve at a signing and getting half stood up by the boys at the beginning was so cool. If you want to explore Steve Vai, I suggest the album "Sex and Religion" as a good start point. Or if you just like the instrumental, Marty Friedman's "Scenes" or "Dragon's kiss" (Scenes is mellow, Dragon's kiss is very much more metal)
Of course, you could always go surfing with the alien with Joe Satriani!!
Thanks for the response. I know Stevie and Satch quite well already, and I agree with your choices. It seems only watchers respond to my suggestions, never the response folks.....@@sutekh233
Holy crap! Rarely do you see something this off the charts, this amazing, this unique. Wow! Just wow!
Down the 'Thunderstruck' path is the group "Steve 'N Seagulls" version. Worth a watch.
Croatian national treasure🇭🇷🇭🇷
I seen 2cellos open for Steve Via in Los Angeles! I have to say, they were amazing!
You need to check out Apocalyptica. Their debut album is called 'Plays Metallica by 4 Cellos' and it's amazing!
The audience was… Thunderstruck. I enjoyed it immensely.
Holes insaid the chelos make the bass🇵🇷🎼🎩🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶☮️✌️
This was the 1st video that introduced me to 2Cellos. Since then I have watched several others as well as some of their solo work. They really are very talented.
Those are horse hair bows and very expensive and they are very durable but you see how he’s rockin!
Steven Seagulls version is great too. You should also check out 2 Cellos doing a Steve Vai song. Steve appears in the video also, it's great!
Go watch anything by Apocalyptica if you wanna see what can do with a cello
If you like this type of video, I would suggest an artist by the name of Lucia Miccarelli. (Pronounced "Loosha")
She's a violinist who likes to incorporate classic rock into her traditional orchestra sound. Check her live version of "Bohemian Rhapsody". It's fire. 🎻🔥
If strings on the bow break, they break. They are, of course, playing very aggressively. Notice the young girl in the audience loves it.
i remember when i first heard this it blew my mind how someone can play an instrument like that, now you need to see there highway to hell video feat steve vai
Classical music is mostly the hard rock of that time period
Absolutely brilliant, these two guys are incredible.
Love 2 cellos. These guys are insanely good
There’s also a guy on TH-cam that’s does a cover in bagpipes. So awesome
It's cool how they used classical instrumentation with rock songs. Another duo to check out is Golden Salt (violin and guitar). Recommend their covers of Iron Maiden Fear of the Dark, Metallica Nothing Else Matters and Star Wars Melody.
Their live performances are even better...
I discovered Hauser (the cellist in gold) during the Pandemic. A lot of his single work appeared on my Facebook feed. He is really good.

This "classical twist on modern rock" reminds me of the Christmas lights display set to music by TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra). The original song used was Wizards Of Winter, which is probably 20 years old now (!!!)
It's been forever since I've seen those light display synchronizations appear in TH-cam and I wonder if anyone of "current generation" has seen them? Those would be a blast to revist - something to consider for the holiday season 2024/2025... along with the "Christmas trilogy" material (Christmas Eve & Other Stories - 1996, The Christmas Attic - 1998, The Lost Christmas Eve - 2004) from TSO in general.
👍 AMAZING 💕🤗. Have a Blessed Day 🦋
Listen to HELIX..."AIN'T HIGH LIKE ROCK AND ROLL".... They are from CANADA... A Great 80s Heavy Metal Band.... don't miss out on them
My favorite is House of Hamill - Sweet Child O' Mine
More cello greatness...

Have you been told that you look like Tristan Tate🎉
Bow strings are made from horse hair and do "shred".....just not usually that fast.
Just a side note:
I'm sorry but every time I watch your channel I can't stop thinking that you look like porn stars.
The guy comes in to fix the woman's washing machine and....well you know the rest.
😂
Love your channel guys.

If you like this video check this out, th-cam.com/video/-XcF2ntPMxM/w-d-xo.html. It's Metallica playing One with a Band called Apocalyptica, their a band that came out in the 90's that's 4 guys playing Cellos. Their first album was them play Metallica songs. Then in 2011 when Metallica did their 30th. anniversary shows, they had Apocalyptica join them onstage.
