I used to ride a dirt bike some twenty years ago. Fast forward to this year. I bought a Yamaha 1300 V Star, and quickly found out it was more challenging than what I had anticipated. Due to the present situation with the corona virus, I couldn’t take any courses.
So I watched countless of your videos, and practiced all the manoeuvres you teach, and I now have the confidence I need to ride.
Thanks for all of your help.

Vstars are the best in my opinion. I have a 650 custom, an 1100 classic and a 1300 tour. Ride all 3 of them weekly.

My first bike was a Kawasaki KZ550, but I soon realized I wanted a cruiser for out here in Wyoming. After six months of riding the Kawi, I got a new '07 V Star 1300 and still have it. They are the best value in a midsize cruiser, have a bulletproof drivetrain, and with a few mods (Ivan's flash, quality 2-1 exhaust, and a cold air intake) they haul the freight better than most machines packing a LOT more displacement. Hope yours gives you many years of enjoyable two-wheeling!

      I have a royal star 1300 and a v star 950.
The royal star requires a big step up in experience even from the v star.
Pretty ballsy to go from dirt bike to royal star!!!

I bought the exact same bike on July 3rd. After seeing your blue one I started researching/ looking for one. Found mine at moonshine HD near Nashville TN. Had them put a 2 up seat, passenger floorboards and the civilian controls, in case I add a radio later. Thanks for introducing me to the police bargain bike motorman!

I bought one last year when a local municipality backed out of their deal. Had to wait, but worth it. Best value for Harley's cruiser line bar none! Put your own radio in it,.. or as I did, just leave the opening avail. for a quick place to put gloves, sun glasses, whatever. Harley's best music comes from between your legs. That 114 M8 really sings.

In September I bought a new 2019.5 electraglide std looks like yours but with the 107 m8 engine still has plenty of power and very smooth
I took off the stock 12 inch hand adjustable shocks put on 13 inch air shocks they are much smoother , also added heated grips than did a cross country trip and back on it , makes a great inexpensive touring bike im very happy with it.

My giant 2020 Road Glide Limited makes tight (full lock) u-turns with a breeze. I can now pull the bike into the garage with my feet on the floorboards. You mentioned something I've wondered about. I have a new 2020 Road Glide, keeping 40 PSI, as recommended. Whenever I try to practice the slow U-turn, it feels like (as you just said), the motorcycle wants to pull/fall to the inside of the turn. Is that something I just need to learn to live with, or is my technique lacking? It makes me hesitant to try to turn more sharply for fear that I won't respond quickly or firmly enough to keep the motorcycle upright. Thanks for another great video! John

I really liked my 2020 Heritage till I took a test rid on the Electra Glide police model yesterday. I bought it but at Moonshine Harley in Franklin,Tn . They had already converted it to civilian use. Did not get running lights or passenger pegs. It drives really smooth much smoother than my Heritage. When I sold down as I am coming to a stop it feels like I am running over a rumble strip on the side of the road. They put a trike seat on mine. I don’t think I can live with that seat. I also am 5’ 7” tall cannot get my feet flat on ground. A retired motorcycle officer now Harley salesman suggested I replace rear shocks and lower bike one inch. Hi Jerry, I have a question, had a few bikes over the years, currently ridding a Honda Shadow 750. My issue, when I make a full left turn, I have to move my leg out away from the fuel tank as to not hit my leg. My guess is the handle bars might be a little low, but noway to adjust it, that I have found, sadly. I am 6 foot, long legs, lol. Is my guess correct and is there any other way around not pushing my knee away from the tank that I might be able to practice.
Thank you for all you do, I also live in central Florida and one day would love to take your class, but waiting on getting a Gold Wing again first.

@@missingremote4388 that's a dealbreaker for me though I'm sure it could be added. Cheaper to do a stage one on a 107 than change all that other stuff I would think. Unless the Police model is really that cheap.

Is your preference the Road King or ultra standard Police issue and Why?
This is a great comfort to me I am currently considering the ultra standard but would prefer the police issue .
I also have always had a liking for any Road King (for some reason).
So because I do not know as much about the bikes would treasure-your opinion on this matter.
Ride comfort and handling are my concerns.

I remember you saying about the 40 lbs of air in the tires to help with slow speed turns. Does this have any adverse effect on the performance of the tires at highway or interstate speeds, or in wet rainy roads? Living in Southern Illinois, we get consistent triple digit temps and crazy humidity. Road temps are crazy hot, being higher inflated do you think this would be a problem? Congratulations on a beautiful bike!!!
