Hi Matt, can you suggest a good area to buy a house near Durham University for a basement apartment, would Samac be a good area? Great video and advice!
Hey- Yes Samac is the neighbourhood, however, you need to be very cautious about where you buy close to the university because of the "restricted area". There are separate rules and regulations for the university and collage area. You are limited to the number of bedrooms and need to comply with annual inspections. Happy to discuss further if you like
@@MovingToDurhamRegion Some of the investors in that area have figured ways to get around the whole "amount of bedrooms" and inspections, especially when the date of the inspection is known.
