What you did here Freya was give us the equivalent of a $100 an hour voice lesson. Thank you. I find you have to do a lot of exploration and experimentation per your own particular voice to get this right. A lot of beginner singers don't realize this. Awesome explanation. Bob

I agree with Bob. Freya, you generously provide for free the equivalent of a high-quality private voice lesson. We are SO blessed that you share your expertise with us here! :)

Girl, you are a genius. I've been trying to sing a high F on the word "here" in the chorus of " Oh Danny Boy" for months. Changing the shape of the vowel worked.

Vowel modification (intentional as opposed to unintentional vowel migration) changed my life!! All the weight dropped off. I didnt have to so-called "thin" my chords or mess with anything. Change the vowel change your life lol.

So refreshing to hear an English speaking person doing the single pure single sound vowels. There are not a lot of English speaking people who understand this. Thank you for showing it.

Thank you Freya! I would like to add that it took me a while to realize that what may sound to me like another vowel when I try to alter it, actually sounds to the listener like the correct vowel and that is probably because the frequency is the same to the listener. So rounding my a’s to more like an O (mostly in my head) is hardly noticeable to the listener at all.

You basically sent half of your visitors to look for the bridge video instead of watching yours.. 😂 but seriously your tip worked like magic

The rule in cassical singing is to sing the "ee" sound only on the very last beat of the note if it is part of a vowl cluster like "ei" in nein or nine. The "ee" like in seen is a very unfriendly sound and should not be as short a possible or the vowl needs to be modulated in for instance words like "in" where the is no other sound.

One of my singing teachers had an ultrasonic insect repeller device. When a came for lessons she had to switch it of because ot would start to buzz very loadly around the middle of my singing lesson.

Doesn’t whispering rub ur vocal chords together ? When people lose their voice, they are told not to whisper, but when it starts coming back, write or speak quietly but no whispering.
