When I was about 13 I had a 87 cr80.hooked on 2 strokes forever.A neighbor would take us riding to a park in nor- cal named Carnegie ohmv.he rode a cr 500,his buddy came with us and brought a trials bike..my 1st experience with one.i may be wrong but I think it was a yamaha350 4 stroke.??I cruised up one of the toughest climbs at the front of the park that day.on that bike.im still a lover of 2 stroke motocross.but the torque that trials bike had..!!they explained to me afterwards about heavy flywheels etc,and it makes sense.Mr .Kaplan, thanks for the vid..good memories.
To the left is my Cagiva DG350. Mine is the wrong color etc. No kick stand! Missing a few of the original parts. I made my own side covers. But it runs well! Hard to impossible to find parts! I bought mine on ebay. I used it as a backup bike for Mid Atlantic trials events I used to ride in years ago. Still lots of fun! Can have a blast in a small area. I still ride it on my property and a few other places. Mine has a skid plate on the bottom so you can blip over logs and rocks with no worries that yours seems to be missing. I have a video or 2 on youtube riding on this bike. I also like that it came with a oil dipstick so you can easily check the level. Everybody has and competed on Yamaha TY's, Montesa, Ossa and Bultacos but nobody had a Cagiva. It is rare! The gas tank is fiberglass so I would either coat it or run no ethanol gas in it. In the early 90s I owned and competed in trials event's on one of those bikes in the intermediate class, some time's I would ride every day in so. cal. I wish I still had it, didn't know only a 100 made.
I once owned a Sherpa T, The Bultaco sherpa T heratige is so obvious on this bike. Incredible.
I still own 2 bultaco bikes 250&350 sherpas , 👍 and this bike is really a bultac undercover.
@@neilphillips162 for sure Neil, I loved my 350 sherpa, the bike would literally climb a tree in that granny first gear. In addition I crossed a creek once with water to the bottom of the tank and it didnt stall👍

Of all the types of bikes I ride,I get the biggest buzz from riding trials bikes
You can ride over any obstacles, and some of the best MX and enduro guys come from a trials background

besides motocross i always thought guys that road these had one of the biggest set of balls climbing insane incline and ive raced flat track sideways into corners at 90 plus mph when i was young

Rode a 370 mk2 or 3 once. It was blue with plastic tank and fenders. Grunting beast?
